If you give this campground a 10 you must have an RV smaller than 30ft. There is easy access to the park, but if you follow the sign to the office you go wrong and have to turn around (very tight). There are no pull through sites although they sold us one. They just combine two sites next to each other, where a big rig fits lengthwise but there is no room whatsoever on the sides since you will be parked between two pedestals. Pool and restrooms seem to be ok, WIFI did not work at all (although it is Tengo). To level we had to use two 2" wood blocks on one side (what we hate). Would never come back here - its a Sunland Park, no wonder. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The rate shown reflects the use of Passport America and four for three rate. The sites are concrete pad with gravel picnic area. Site 52 as well as other sites have a slight slope, but nothing that cannot be overcome. The grounds, baths and laundry are meticulously kept. Several full time residents who welcome visitors and their sites are also well kept. We were not uncomfortable with leaving our BBQ and carry out satellite out at all times. The swimming pool is kept at 86 degrees and the hot tub was at 104 degrees, which is perfect for us. Their kitchen facilities are available for group meetings and lunches. The park is near 2 Indian casinos and is a short 20 minute drive to San Diego. Interstate 8 is less than 2 miles from the park. We would stay here again if in the neighborhood. Well maintained and very clean park. Near I8 about 25 miles from San Diego Ca so there are lots of places to go and see. Very friendly staff and helpful. We will stay again. We were at Oak creek park for 4 weeks. My only complaint was the water pressure was low. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Price reflects weekly rate. The park also gave us a Good Sam Discount for the additional 3 nights we stayed beyond the week. This park is beautifully maintained. Someone is always working on the landscaping. Park is quiet. Other San Diego parks are on the freeway, this one is not. You will drive through an industrial area to get here but once in the park, you don't know it's there. Easy access to freeway for getting to the mountains or San Diego. Extremely friendly staff. Quite a few people are here for the summer but sites are kept up. Great Verizon cell & air card connection. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A very nice park--clean and well maintained. Very friendly and helpful staff. Water pressure is low and at night you can hear some highway noise. Swimming pool and hot tub are great. This is a good home base for visiting San Diego, Julian and Boreggio Springs. The statues at Boreggio Springs and having apple pie in Julian are on the "must do" list. There are lots of fun stores in Julian also. We would stay here again although it is a bit pricey. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Staff was very friendly! Grounds were very well maintained. Super quiet area with amazing mountain views! Park was pretty full, but we were only here for 1 night. Will be back again in the future when we have more time to stay longer. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This was a clean little park that we were pleasantly surprised by. We'd never stayed here before and were wondering what we'd get, especially as we saw some rough looking RV parks on our drive to Oak Creek RV Resort. Concrete pads with gravel in between. There was a large strip of grass behind our site for the kids to play on. Many full time residents but they mainly kept their sites clean and orderly. Pool was on the small side but clean. The woman at the front desk was very nice and helpful. This RV park was a bit further outside of downtown San Diego than I thought but not too bad. Surrounding neighborhood looked a little rough but we felt safe at the campground and our belongings were not messed with at all. The residents and other campers were very friendly and sweet. There did seem to be an ongoing ant problem here. We had to put ant poison under our trailer by day two. Not many other children around but ours entertained themselves. Was an over all good experience, and the price was right too. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Outstanding Value! The best RV park we've found in almost 4 years, 20K miles, including twice cross country. Clean, neat, quiet, friendly, picturesque. Great Manager who combines best professional and personal touch! We choose Oak Creek to celebrate our 50th anniversary ended up staying a week. Spotless pool and spa, with shade in right place. Little touches of quality class everywhere you look. Is a Passport America site. We will return soon. Just hope too many others don't come at the same time!! Enjoy!! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a good clean well maintained campground to stay in while seeing the local area. The Sun to Thur Passport America 50% discount rate is only good for 3 days, but is really economical for the San Diego locale. Be advised that Fridays and Saturdays are billed at the Good Sam 10% discount rate. The campground is tightly packed and care is needed in getting in and out of assigned spaces. The laundry is adequate for a park of this size, however the $2.50 for washers and $2.00 dryers is a steep price to pay for clean clothes. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I found this park to be exceptionally clean and well kept. The office person was extremely nice and knowledgeable about the area. Rate paid was Passport America ($17.50). Many of the residents are full-time and leave during the day for work or military duty, so this was a very quiet park. Although the amenities are many, I did not make use of anything beyond the ice machine. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is one of the nicest parks we have seen. It is immaculate and well maintained. The pool was warm enough to swim on a mid-50's winter day, and was very clean. The bathrooms were also clean and did not smell. My two sons loved the foosball and pool table (free to play) in the rec room. The neighborhood felt very safe and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The sites all have concrete pads with gravel around them, but there are lots of shrubs and flowers. We saw no ants; we stayed for 2 nights. The excellent rate (just 25 miles from the San Diego beaches) was the Passport America rate for 3 people. We highly recommend this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Just left this campground. The roads are narrow and the sites are short. We have a 33 foot travel trailer and backed it in, and the hitch was sticking out in the road. All of the sites are gravel with concrete pads. Ants are a serious problem. Laundry room cost $2.50 wash and $2.00 dry, no change machine. The grounds are well maintained, the hot tub was clean, however, the pool was cloudy and dirty from all of the people in it. Not exactly a great place for kids, as there is nothing for them to do, just swim. Dogs are allowed, but there are many restrictions, making it difficult to even keep them there. A key is needed to enter the bathrooms, and to enter and leave the pool area. The surrounding neighborhood is a little rough. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

It looks like an older park that has been revamped, so the sites are small and very close together. The pool area is nice, but the club house, office, and restrooms had a bad odor (like a dirty cat box), which lasted the entire weekend. The sites are gravel and cement, and you park your car next to your awning. Our FW barely fit in the site (no. 36) - even though we were backed against a tree, the front of the trailer was right at the road. There are a lot of full-timers, but they don't have stuff lying around, so it wasn't that noticeable. This campground did look nicer than Vacationeer and Circle RV, which were nearby. We lived in the San Diego area when this park was first opened 20+ years ago. It was not designed for the big rigs of today but is a very nice location and convenient to area attractions. The new owners have worked with area attractions and offer discounts for them and golf to park visitors. They have always had problems with ants so we come prepared with ant spray. We stayed for a week. The price has gone up considerably over the years but again like all real estate location, location, location. We visit the area every 18 months or so because of family in the area so will continue to return in the future unless a new park with big rig sites opens but with the cost of land that is highly unlikely. 3/4 of the sites are taken by monthlies so there does not appear to be a lot of in and out. Interior roads are very tight and trees in desperate need of trimming. Pool is very clean, neat and well landscaped. Spa is wonderful. Cable did not work at our site and tree needed to be trimmed for us to back in. Maintenance was quick to respond to trim the tree, cable repair took a couple of days. The only reason I don't rate this higher is because of tight interior roads, low tree branches along the way and small sites. For big rigs reservations are a must due to limited sites availability for 40 footers, motorhomes or fivers. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Impossible to park RV at most sites. Park is infested with ants. Sprinklers will rain on your rig and leave hard water spots. Management is not very responsive. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

What a disappointment. Advertisements and web site are filled with nothing more than glamor shots. The amenities: Office, pool area, restrooms, laundry, exercise room are all deserving of a 10 rating. I didn't visit the billiard or TV room, but I'm sure they would be nice as well. It ends there. This is an old RV park filled with older RV, and many permanent residents. The park is infested with ants. Traffic noise is loud from I-8 on one side and E. Main St. on the other side. Sites are gravel, some have old looking cemented sections. Ours did not. This was not a park we wanted to bike ride around in, instead we got a couple of DVDs and stayed inside. The park is also too far from the coast to feel any ocean breeze. 2 adults, 1 child, 1 pet cost $60 on line for one night, and then charged another $9 and some change when we arrived for tax. This RV park is more expensive than actually nice parks on the coast. We only stayed one night. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Called the park using Passport America. When we arrived, the receptionist did not let us stay since we were not completely self contained, no bathroom. Drove 30 miles out of way. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very friendly and helpful office staff, we don't own pets, but this is a very pet friendly park with ample Pet Bag dispensers. Normal I-8 traffic noises during day hours, but it quiets at night and was no problem. We would leave early each day and return later evenings and have not enjoyed the facilities, but did walk through and found everything neat and clean. Public transportation is directly outside the park entrance; $5 day pass took us everywhere. Smaller and more convenient size picnic tables at most sites, easy in and out access at this park, we have no complaints and will return to this RV park when visiting San Diego area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The office staff was GREAT!! They were friendly, helpful and knowledgable of the area. Kudos to the grounds keepers! Park has exceptionally clean restrooms. You can tell that the staff takes pride in their work. Pet friendly was a plus for us, staff even gave them treats upon arrival. (Not expected at all, but a very nice gesture!) Pool area was not over run with children and the spa was a perfect way to end the day. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We had a "luxury" spot that was in the back of the campground. It was extremely difficult to navigate the narrow roads and back into this spot. The spot for the RV is gravel and uneven. We were able to open slides but not the awning. The concrete pad/patio had to be used to park the truck (and we had to fold the mirrors in to even get it on the pad next to the fifth wheel). The site was unkept, dirty, concrete cracked and stained. It seems a majority of the people are residents, and there are a lot of old, terrible RV's and campers. The office was efficient in making the reservation but pretty inefficient on check-in. Laundry required card which we weren't told about on registration (though I asked about the laundry specifically). Wash was $2.50, I did see. We did not use the pool or "spa" which was about 2 feet round. This also does not appear to be a very good area, safety wise, and we felt there was not security in the park. We enjoyed this park fairly well. We loved having access to a pool and recreation building. It was a bit noisy at night for my wife, but it didn't bother me. Park was clean enough and well maintained. Price was fairly high for this time of year, but I guess that's California living. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I really like the park. I did not have any problems with my immediate neighbors. A lot of residents are very welcoming. The general manager is EXCELLENT! The 'new' men's restroom is very nice, except the showers do have scum build up. As well as no mats as you exit the showers. The women's restroom is another story. There is mold build up in the corners. As well as soap scum in the showers. There were times when I did enter the showers and there was trash left over from some other resident. But besides that the park is good. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park is nice enough, but only spent one night here as the noise from the highway kept me and my wife up all night. Too bad. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This RV resort has great facilities. It has a pool and spa both clean and well maintained. It has a great TV room with state of the art TV and a 2 full pool tables in another rec room. The staff were friendly and helpful too. There are a few negatives - they have an ant problem and ants are everywhere both inside and outside the RV. It is expensive for where you are which is right under the freeway but it is San Diego. The other negative we found is that you only get 4 hours of free internet - for the price Wi-Fi should be free. Overall reasonable for a few days stay - nice shady sites also. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this campground for a number of months. The entire time we were there, the men's bathroom was "under construction." Never was there any work done on it. It has been torn up, and never finished, so there is one shower stall unusable, leaving only two. The pool and hot tub area are nice, and kept clean by the very nice and efficient maintenance staff. The hot tub does need relining, since someone has chipped large chunks off of it, and carved a swastika in it. I believe this is because the park has lowered it's standards as far as the kind of people it will allow in. They have a very nice billiards and TV room upstairs, and a well equipped weight room downstairs. There is a certain amount of noise from Interstate 8 right behind the park, but it isn't bad. Overall, the park is pretty quiet. The office staff is very pleasant and helpful, and they do their job very well. In particular, a young lady named Summer is right there when you need anything, and does a great job of keeping the place running smoothly. Not to mention always having a smile ready for you. The manager, however, let's just say he isn't a "people person." Very rude, full of himself, not interested in customer satisfaction in any way. If this individual were replaced, I would give the park a "9" instead of a "7." We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A good location for seeing San Diego area. A quiet & clean park with lots of long-term residents, a few older trailers but all sites are well maintained. Spaces are close together and some sites are pretty tight. Office is only open 8-5 but night registration is available. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. There is a bit of an ant problem, it's addressed in the park guide. We paid Passport America price for 3 nights, and would return. (800) 422-1835 We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is very quiet and safe. It is primarily occupied by young, working full timers who keep their sites tidy and are very respectful and friendly to guests. There is a nice dog run and the cable TV is excellent with several HD channels. I gave the park a 7, because it is overpriced. There are resorts in San Diego proper that are quite a bit less with nicer amenities. Nor do they offer off-season rates. While I enjoyed staying here, I was put off by being charged more than the park is worth. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Since Sunland RV resorts took over the Circle RV, it has gone down hill. New office help, not friendly, maintanence people blow dirt into your coach with the leaf blowers (hope you don't have a health problem), because management does not care. Dogs are allowed to do their business in the streets or spaces, just what everybody wants to walk in, and their rates have more than doubled. Dogs will cost you an extra $30.00 per month each. They have ants, ants, ants, plus lots of noise from I-8 right behind the park. Well: you get the picture. Once a nice little park, now a over priced wan-a-be resort. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Staff was friendly and helpful. We felt like it was very tight getting to our site and leaving it. We were in a motorhome and turns were tight. Our site was a good site. We are guessing it was originally built for 5th wheels and trailers, and later expanded to motorhomes. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Hostess was super friendly and helpful. She knew all the good places to get amazing food. We spent a few days here and enjoyed the fact that we were so close to the beachs, only took us about 20 minutes to drive over. The park drive way wasn't so friendly, but we were able to get in and out with our rig no problem. Just had to swing it a little wider than normal. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! I stayed at Vacationer over the Memorial Day weekend while visiting family in the San Diego area. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We participated in the BBQ that the staff hosted and were quite pleased at the attendance and abundance of friendly people. The amenities were spotless, and we felt very at home. Our pull through had the 50amp service we needed. When in the area again we will definitely stay here again, no questions asked! We camped here in a Motorhome.

When we looked at website we were pleased with what we saw. However when we checked in and set up we found that many of the other sites had permanent trailers set up and most were in poor condition with assorted junk and storage around the site.The dog run was a small fenced area with liquid filled buckets for waste disposal.Sites are small and tight. My wife and dog both were uncomfortable with the park and we left with-in the hour of setting up. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The place looks great on the web site and on their on line park map. It was clean and well maintained, the office staff were very friendly and we met some really nice people. It is incredible difficult to maneuver a large motor coach in and out of the resort. We were "upgraded" to a pull through site at no additional charge. As with most parks, pull through are not always the best sites. We were packed in so close we had to chose to open our slide or not plug in without bothering our neighbor to move his car. To plug in, we had to ask our neighbor to unchain his pit bull. The drive way in can not be used without scraping your hitch and both the drive & roadway are gouged heavily as evidence of this. Our search for RV parks includes our priority of pet friendly. This park has a huge list of breed restrictions & numbers allowed that they do not follow which does not matter to me. There were small yappy dogs across from us running lose. The pet owners appear to be living there and they simply open their door and turn them out, we couldn't sit out with our leashed dogs without these dogs in our area yapping at us. The pet area is the most disgusting that I have ever seen. I did not take my dogs there after seeing it. Open buckets for waste disposal, that were filled with rain, brown liquid, smelly. The area is not safely fenced and right on the freeway. It is hidden behind un-kept, over grown bamboo plants. It is small, swampy, muddy unclean & nasty. The park is beautiful but you would think that would take more pride in providing a clean, nice, safe area pets. For folks who travel with their dogs and there are a lot of us, this is unacceptable. For this reason we would never stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is not a secure park and the receiver hitch was was stolen off our truck while parked there. The ants are horrible. Children run wild in the park. A trailer parked in the storage area was broken into. The dog run is a small fenced area with a bucket for disposal. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The back of our 22 foot Salem Lite really scraped the pavement as we slowly entered. This will be un-avoidable for most rigs. We found all facililties nice and clean, and all residents more friendly than most. Traffic sounds were fewer and of lesser noise level than in Las Vegas. The WiFi signal was very strong. Office personnel provided schedules for public transit system and were very helplful. We did visit a related RV park a few blocks to the East(Circle RV) and would prefer it to the Vacationer only due to the dip at the driveway entrance. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Staff very friendly, but park had narrow roads and sites. They have a few sites that will accommodate 40' rigs. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The entrance to the park is such that larger RV's will drag their rears and crush low tailpipes going in and out. No way to avoid it as insufficient width to transition on a diagonal. Also, large MH's cannot make the tight turns on the narrow streets without multiple cuts at the turns. It has Wi-Fi and we were within 300' of the office, but the signal was too weak to be usable. This park definitely not worth the cost. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The worst park we have ever stayed in. Horrible ant problem not only outside but invading the inside of our fifth wheel. We actually had to call an exterminator to spray the ground around our space. Management said they were not responsible for the ant population. In other words "live with it". This park is not a place for vacationers so they should change the name. Full timers populate this place and many of them are in run down trailers and their spaces are not very well maintained. Our space was in front of the dog walk, which was nothing but a fenced in area of crushed rock a shovel and bucket. On warm days the stench from the dog walk was awful and there was no way a person could sit outside. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
