Well laid out park that has both grass & gravel sites with level cement pads for the RV & car. Good Wi-Fi & over the air TV reception. There are two telephones with free long distance calling throughout USA & Canada. Good amenities & planned activities that you can partake in as you desire. The only downside is that it is near a Fire & Police Station. You also hear the occasional train. Staff was friendly. This is one of the few parks we have stayed at that actually recycles. The Gate is locked at night & you enter a code to get in. Cost was the Passport America charge. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is one of the nicest parks I've stayed in; really clean and everyone very friendly. We are not fans of the snowbird type of parks, but this one is very nice. If you're into it, there are so many activities that you can be busy all the time. Two nice pools (bathtub temp), spa, meeting rooms, gym, etc., all available. Free wi-fi. They guide you to your site and help back in so you don't knock over the utilities. There are two sides, one gravel the other lawn. We got the gravel but I think if I were there longer I'd opt for the grass. Lots of folks walking dogs all the time, and two large off-leash play areas. Even though we were there in the tail end of the snowbird season, they still honored our Passport America rate which is a bargain for this type of park. The only annoyance was no garbage cans anywhere, only dumpsters at the front of the park but it's not a big issue. Another nice thing, there aren't any "owner" cabins or spaces, everything is a rental so there is no stigma for those of us just passing through. For sure I'd stay there again if in the area. Indian Waters has always been one of our favorite resorts in the southwest. Now they are better than ever. Friendly, competent staff & beautiful grounds. Something for everyone. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects Passport America. Beautiful campground and all amenities work very well. Large sites with cement pads both for RV and car. WiFi was very good and we not have to pay for it. Two big drawbacks: grass sites and gravel sites. Grass sites are near amenities, but only one garbage dump at the entrance to park. Sprinklers come on at 4:00 am and the grass is wet until just about noon. All lawn chairs etc. need to be taken off lawn at night. When the grass is cut and wet, you track lots of cuttings in and out of RV. Would stay again but on a gravel site. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I'm not one who really wants the help of an escort, but I was impressed with his enthusiastic, "Welcome to Indian Waters" greeting. Nothing wrong with that which I've received at other parks, but this gentleman was great. We stayed in the gravel portion of the park. While not as pretty as the lush landscape one is greeted with upon entering the resort, it had a very nice desert feel. Pull through was much longer than our 37' coach and CR-V. The hook-ups are at the very back of the concrete pad, so the car had to be parked in front of the coach. We have our own 4G. Park requests that it not be used so as not to interfere with that which is provided. Theirs worked fine with my iPad, but not with my wife's MacBook Pro. The single trash disposal area wasn't ideal. We found Indian Waters to be a welcome oasis in the desert. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beautiful park. This is an RV park not a campground. Mainly occupied by large units in the winter time. Very clean, (almost obsessively!) Grass lots, gravel lots. It is close to all the fun things in Palm springs area. We stayed a month for $1200 with electricity! Not cheap. We are not member of any club, so we learned! We are from the northeast and found the winter a little cool in the desert! Very nice place for a winter stay. Nice hot tubs, very usefull. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Check in was a hassle. Computer problems. We booked 2 sites next to each other. We get there, but four sites away. Not a good start. Escort to our premier "grass site" was very nice. But most of the grass was dead. Nice level site, very clean park, despite only one trash bin for the whole park! Pools and rest rooms were super clean! Wi-Fi was weak & they have no cable. Don't think we will do this one again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed our stay here. The grounds were neat and well kept with adequate utilities, showers, etc. Very nice clubhouse and pool area. Park schedules numerous activities and arranges discounted golf fees for several area courses. Nice fitness facility as well as billiard room if you're so inclined. Much less wind than Desert Hot Springs. We stayed six nights and would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Enjoyed this park, nice clean atmosphere. Friendly employee's. I wouldn't say it's real family friendly but they do allow families. Mostly retired people in this area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Clean park, but under new ownership (not WH anymore) and as such, they don't honor the RPI rate even though they accept RPI (till the end of 2011) Felt that since they don't honor the RPI agreement of $10/nite they should have called me and told me before i got here (then i would have tried to get in somewhere else). The place was practically empty. Sewer hookup is all the way in the rear like trailer parks used to be 50 yrs ago, so I had to park on the gravel. Even tho they just put in new sewer hookups very recently they didn't want to spend the money on Cable. BTW they told me that the new rates will be $40+/nite. In Indio! We won't be back again! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Magnificent landscaping at park entry. Members parked in well-landscaped area. Guests parked on gravel with no sewers. Dump truck came around every couple of days if requested. Nice dog run, nice clubhouse. Lovely pool area. Understand the park is under new ownership and making improvements to entire park including guest area. Rate was RPI. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Our first Coast-to-Coast experience since buying the membership in Fall of 2009. Needed assistance with backing-in. Not much shade. Spaces were concrete pad - a little on the short side - between rocky/gravel yards. No sewer in the C2C available spaces. Right in town - so convenient to everything. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

As did the previous entry, we stayed here on a promotional pass. My initial impression of this park is that it's tired, entry road is rough, gate is unattended and open during the day but closed at 1600 (4pm). The basic facilities are here but old and unappealing. We were assigned a site with only 30 amp service and no sewer without being asked if we wanted (or needed) more. The sites are level cement with a cement parking area for the toad, some shade trees but good satellite dish access. The park is one block from a large fire station and not too far from a rail line so it's noisy at night. The sales presentation was moderate pressure, but with no effort to find out what our requirements were, just kept beating on how much we would save over the years. Overall I was very disappointed and would not return to this park again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a membership park which we had a coupon to go to. Very nice park--did not buy a membership but I have to say the salespeople were not pushy which was very pleasant for a change. The people were courteous and accommodating. We had a gravel site. Normally the Wi-Fi apparently has to be paid for. It was very slow but we had it free so not complaining but would if I had to pay for it. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for an overnight on a very hot day in June. The office is closed on weekends but they had our site info taped to the door. We left early the next morning so we never saw any of the staff. This is basically a seasonal park, mostly park models, and this time of year looked deserted. Our pull-through site had good access and enabled us to keep our car hooked up. We weren't provided any park info other than a basic map; never did find the restrooms, except for one at the bathhouse at one of the pools. Price seemed very high for what we got at this time of year, but there aren't a lot of options in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate is for Passport America, even though the current book has it as $17.50 for W/E site. We got a FHU one, which we didn't need for just an overnight stay. When asked about it, they said all of the sites are the same price now, and wouldn't move us because it was too hot?? Would probably look for something a bit cheaper for just an overnight stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Read the reviews and decided to stay in spite of the negative comments. Specifically it is 3 miles from the Indian Wells Tennis Garden where the Open Tennis Tournament is held yearly, so the commute was easy for us and none of the other factors dissuaded us. We are self contained including having satellite TV, Internet satellite mounted on the roof, our own washer and dryer onboard, and both of us have cell phones so those amenities are not required for us. I agree the park could use some updating but the proximity to our primary reason for being here made all of that not a factor in the decision. It is off the highway so there is only city noise during the day, very little at night except sirens occasionally. The site was a pull through concrete drive more then long enough for our 40 footer with the toad parked behind, with shade trees over the drivers cab and tall bushes to provide separation from the park model that sat next to us. The 42 foot quad slide rig next to us was closer then I like, but when owners lower their shades all day long every day I take it as and indication they don't want to mingle and respect that. I have more then enough to do to keep me busy with my own life without relying on park residents to need to be friendly. If they initiate I will respond, but it isn't why I was here. Yes, the price is higher then I like to pay, but for the benefit in time and travel distance I will live with it. The office staff were efficient and had our reservation ready to go when we arrived. We got our mail delivered here and they have an efficient system for distribution of our mail. We checked out the pool, but that lasted 15 minutes because it is small and very much utilized, too crowded for my taste! There is a rather constant parade of small business owners ready to wash my coach and car which I had to decline. Shopping is all around with a Super WalMart, and Costco less then a mile west and Ralph's grocery store 1.5 miles south of the park. The electricity is 50 amp and clean, the water pressure is about 60 psi so use a regulator and the sewer connection required one length of hose to reach the in-ground access port, all the amenities an full time RVer should need. We were told when we asked that their Wi-Fi was "not the best" and it is TengoInternet, which I am not fond of under the best of circumstances. To attend the BNP Paribas Indian Wells Tennis Open was our agenda and this park met that need. If I decide to attend in the future I would come here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is way too expensive for it's condition and services. First of all it is mostly a trailer park with the trailers in a mix of condition. There are many permanents and seasonals. We were placed in a tight back in with older trailers on each side. There are pull throughs available but even though we booked early we couldn't seem to get one. Wi-Fi was not working even when we went to the office. We ended up at Starbucks. No cable either. This place needs serious updating from the restrooms to the laundry to all other services. We will not consider this park for future visits. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 1 week and the nightly rate is pretty steep. The pull through RVers are sandwiched in among the permanent park models. The back in sites are around the perimeter. This is a "stay for the winter" park. There are activities everyday. The facilities are clean and well maintained. Everybody is friendly. The Wi-Fi is horrible in the park. There is cable hook-up. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We always enjoy staying here while visiting friends in the area. Our first time for a spring visit here. The park is MUCH less crowded than in the winter. The weather was not hot yet and there was no rain so we had a wonderful visit. They do need to work on the dog run. My dog wouldn't even walk into the yard as it is need of upkeep. The rest of the park appeared to be in good order. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We were here for Stagecoach so we didn't use the facilities or activities. Staff was great. Area was clean and well kept. Sites are open and close together but everyone around was very friendly. Exiting the drive the next morning was a challenge because everyone from the events on-site camping were leaving. The traffic was backed up due to the traffic lights. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for three days while attending the Stagecoach Country Music Festival. The resort is only 3 1/2 miles from the festival grounds and definitely reasonably priced compared to festival rates, and quieter than sites at the festival. It is an older, very clean park with a mixture of permanent, seasonal and temporary RV’ers. The staff that I encountered was very pleasant and helpful. Wi-Fi is available, but requires a passcode obtained at the office. The men's restroom/showers can be cramped when three or more trying to use it. The park is convenient to shopping and restaurants. The park is geared more for adults as I saw no areas set aside for children. There was no area for larger dogs to walk or exercise except the street. I took mine to the grass area outside the park along Jefferson St. and a vacant, desert lot across the street. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have four requirements when choosing a park: Good internet service; good dog exercise area; clean grounds/facilities; and big-rig friendly, meaning easy in/out of park and sites. Wi-Fi: Tengo Internet, only 1 free password per site, bandwidth grossly inadequate for number of sites, extremely frustrating because of slow and sometimes non-existent service. Dog Walk: One tiny fenced area provided in park, again inadequate for this size of park and number of dogs. There is an empty field across the busy 4-lane highway in front of the park, but no sidewalk on park side, so you must cross street at your own risk. Cleanliness: Excellent. Garbage picked up at site in morning. Washrooms/laundry rooms clean. Showers clean but small and hard to maneuver in for an active person, can't imagine anyone with mobility issues being able to comfortably use one. Big-Rig Friendly: Yes. Easy to navigate around all roads and sites in park. Comments: Nicely landscaped with mature palm trees, fruit trees, lawn, and pavement. No dust or gravel in park. RV sites are interspersed amongst permanent park models. Three pools and two spas are clean and well maintained. Free exercise/weight room, horseshoes, bocci ball available. Park is located in Palm Springs/La Quinta area in good location for shopping (Costco across street, Wal-Mart close by, and many other shops, restaurants, etc., to choose from, with golf courses galore nearby). Lots of activities for those interested. However, the Wi-Fi needs to be upgraded. The bandwidth is grossly inadequate for the number of sites in this park and is slow at best, non-existent a lot of the time. This is not the only park we have been in that needs to realize that they would have a lot more people staying longer at their parks if they provided good internet service. It is not a matter of entertainment only, and many of us (especially full-timers) need it to work so we can live this lifestyle. Just my two cents. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our second stay at this park and lucked out to get assigned the same site we had before. Even though the sites are somewhat narrow we have found it is easy to get into for us (40 ft. fifth wheel). The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We will most likely continue to stay here when visiting friends in Palm Desert as it is convenient to them and the businesses in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park has a combination of park models and RV sites. The sites are fairly close together with little room to sit outside, and if we did, we had a view of our neighbors sewer hose. The interior roads have room to maneuver, and our site was level. Towards the front of the park there is road noise, but we had little noise further from the road. The facilities are all older and could use a little TLC but are adequate - small pools, 6-machine laundry rooms, small showers, ping pong table, 2 pool tables, small fitness room, and a meeting hall for planned snowbird-type activities. Good Cable TV channels. Nice landscaping. I only tried their Wi-Fi twice and it was slow, (Tengo internet), so I went back to my air card which worked very well. The office people were very nice and helpful. The price reflects a Passport America discount. It was an OK place to stay and visit family, and I would stay here again, but I think the regular price is too much for what you get. But everything is high priced in this area. I usually winter in Arizona where you get nicer facilities for less money. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Passport America saved $$. Nice clean older park. Several Park Models, yet plenty of spaces available, many are pull-throughs. Wi-Fi was free strong signal. Three pools: all the right temperature. Two spas: both were nice. BBQs available at all public areas. Clean laundry rooms, and each with 6 machines. No picnic tables! Operators were extremely helpful. For a Palm Springs area park, with the PA discount, this is a very nice park. Great workout room. We camped here in a Motorhome.

While the attendant and her husband were very friendly at the check in desk, the park is sort of a mish-mash of trailer homes and RV lots and RV storage. There are three pools that looked nice, but the bathroom/showers were very old, cupboards coming off their hinges, showers so small you can barely turn around. Good thing I showered at night because I couldn't change in the tiny little area provided. The park is well lit and I felt safe. For the money, it was kind of creepy. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We have stayed here before and had never had such a bad experience. Coachella Music Festival brought in the rowdies who partied until after 2:00AM. The restrooms and especially the showers were littered with big gobs of shampoo on the floors, mystery materials, plus 3 or 4 used plastic razors in the shower. The traffic along Jefferson is very loud, although not the fault of the park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were in an empty site with empty sites on either side which made lots of room for pop-outs. The reason for that is the spots must have been landscaped in the days before slides. Paid for a week and after a few days the bomb-shell! Open burning! Yes, you cannot smoke in any building in California but any guest of questionable intelligence can hold other guests hostage inside their units with acrid smoke seeping in through doors, windows, vents and pulled in with fans. This also applies to charcoal fires. Scratch this park off our list! Not worth the price for a slum park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is in a very convenient location and has easy access. There are many permanents here. The pools are small but clean and can get quite crowded and noisy when children are visiting. The sites are large enough and we had a pull through which was very nice. There is no free Wi-Fi. If the permanent spots were more up to date and better cared for, this resort would get a higher rating. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped here for one night heading north to the Olympic Peninsula. Price is for Passport America. Regular rate is about $56 for a one night, pull through site. Narrow pull through sites. Barely enough room for the sides, and no room for the awning. Sardine-like canned feeling, but for one night on the road it's okay. The exit from I-10 is dicey and congested. But, no road noise or railroads. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Needed a place for a one night stay with electricity. Have a 30 ft travel trailer towed by a suburban. We were given an overflow spot with Electric/Water/Sewer. Very tight spot (#308). Due to a hedge and a turn in the road, the spot was difficult to back into. The spot was so narrow, the motor home to my right had to retract his awning into his spot so I could back in. If the motor home had a slide out on his passenger side rear, I would have been unable to open my slide out. When my trailer door opened there was less than six inches of clearance between me and the trailer on my passenger side. My trailer was between the painted lines on the asphalt. The asphalt was uneven and I needed a one inch board to level my trailer side to side. I had to maneuver my suburban to not block the road when parking. The woman in the office was nice but I will not return to this park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very clean older park with a lot of full timers in older, but well kept rigs. Sites are narrow and there is some noise, park is right in town. Pay for Wi-Fi and most sites are back-in but no problem there. I would stay here again passing through if I could pay Passport America price only. ($26 is PA price). Staff was friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I’m generally not a Passport America fan but in this case I’d make an exception. We paid the full rate but PA membership would have paid for itself. I’d estimate that 80% of this location are occupied by people using it as a winter retreat. There are lots of permanent installations and Park Models. At this time of year it was relatively unoccupied. They do a nice job of accommodating folks like us just passing through. It is convenient to all of Palm Springs and Palm Desert. We’d certainly stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Sites are tight and close together, but still easy enough to get around on the interior roads, with a big rig. Nice cable TV, but have to pay for the Wi-Fi. Lots of friendly people, Very friendly employees, very quiet place. Wake up call every morning at 6 AM by the Mourning Doves. Easy in and out with a HDT and 35 ft trailer. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed at this park primarily due to it location near PGA West. We were pleased to be able to get a Passport America rate, even on a weekend in December, in a warm weather area. We were in Site 15 which was plenty big enough for our 40 footer with 4 slides. Nicely paved and well maintained park. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate was for Passport America. Several miles off I-10 but easy to find, east side of Jefferson. Was required to make phone call for reservation though would be more convenient for me to do via email. Beautiful park. Spaces close together with many full-timers. My space was a back-in and barely accommodated my 24 foot rig. On side of utilities resident had built permanent structure right to the utility post. Other side nice lawn with about ten feet to next space. Nice, very reasonable considering area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

What a really beautiful RV park resort. Definitely the best we have stayed at. Lovely long, wide sites some overlooking lake. We stayed on a site overlooking lake and golf course and found it to be very relaxing.The park has a par 3 golf course, swimming pool, spa, tennis courts, putting green. On site restaurant very good. Very friendly staff, security 24 hours. Lawns and sites very well manicured. You do have to pay for Wi-Fi. Has cable TV. Site approx. 4 miles from I-10. Would definitely return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We had just started "full timing" and booked a lot through an owner first for a month. We loved it so much that we decided to stay for five months! We rented through an owner for half of the time and through the office for the other half. We had use of a casita, which was a huge plus. My husband was welcomed into the men's golf group. I loved using the fabulous fitness center. This is the Ritz Carlton of RV resorts. We will definitely return and hope to see all of the friends we made while here. Members were extremely helpful and friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is by far the best RV Park we have ever stayed in. Every spot is owned by an individual, and rented at their discretion to visitors. We rented one of the developed Lakefront lots, with a casita, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, and dock. The entire property is immaculate. Owners take pride in the sites. Manicured landscaping, tennis courts, multiple pools and spas, were a pleasure to enjoy. The staff and neighbors were friendly, even though we were there with 2 young children. The clubhouse restaurant/bar is very nice. Would definitely bring transportation next time as there are many things to do within 5-10 mile drive. We will definitely be staying here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is by far the best Motorcoach Resort in the USA. We stayed here from Jan. through April, 2010. There are perimeter privacy sites with a grass side & backyard, water sites, and golf course sites. Some sites have casitas and covered patios, outdoor bar and kitchens, etc. Each site is privately owned. Rates vary on type of site. Resort also has its own restaurant, 3 pools, tennis courts, golf course, laundry and workout facilities. We found the atmosphere to be extremely friendly and fun. We camped here in a Motorhome.

So far this is the best resort that I have experienced. As soon as you enter the resort, you can smell the aire of luxury oozing everywhere. The staff was friendly and even the owners were very friendly. Everyone smiled and waved hello. We felt like an owner there. The rates range between $80-$165 per night. We stayed in an $80 site which they call a privacy lot because it has a large manicured super green lawn complete with palm trees, flowers, and fenced on three sides. Great for our dog. Other sites include golf sites, and water front sites complete with private dock and private infinity pools. The main clubhouse lap pool is the largest I have experienced at a resort. Very clean resort. Concrete pads are large and level, full hookups great. Wi-Fi was not free though. I posted a video of our site on youtube. Just search for "Motorcoach Country Club Indio Palm Springs" on youtube. This place used to be called Signature Resorts Indio, but is now simply Motorcoach Country Club Indio. Do not get it confused with the older park directly across the street, called Outdoor Resorts Indio. Also do not get it confused with Signature Resorts Palm Springs. This resort Motorcoach Country Club Indio is the only one with the water front lots with private docks and yacht club, very neat indeed, to see all the little boats go around. Alas renters do not have access to the yacht club and billiards room, only the main clubhouse with fancy full service restaurant and bar. Alas dogs are not allowed to swim in the man-made lake or water features. For that you have to go to Signature Resorts Bay Harbor in Michigan, which is the second best resort I have experienced so far, same developer, newer park. I would certainly return to this resort and even purchase a lot. High recommended. 10++ rating. We camped here in a Motorhome.

What an outstanding place to stay! The grounds are immaculate and everything is kept to very high standards. We had a waterfront site (pull in front first to take advantage of the views--the only back in sites I noticed were those on the outside edges of the park) with tremendous views of the surrounding mountains. Everyone we encountered could not have been nicer. From the employees to the residents/owners of the place, they were all extremely friendly (we even had a family pull up in their boat and ask us if we wanted a ride around the lakes - great experience & view of the park!). We have two children (ages 11 & 8) and they had a blast between swimming in the heated pool (which was never crowded) to riding their bikes around the park. Unlike most of the nicer parks in the Palm Springs area, kids are very welcome here. I do not know about WiFi access, but our Sprint 3G internet connected just fine. We did not eat at the restaurant but it looked very nice inside. Not sure about the golf, but when we wanted to play tennis, we just went to the courts and if they were available, you just start playing. We will definitely return to this resort if you are looking for a resort experience with your RV, I recommend staying at this place. We camped here in a Motorhome.

There is not much that can be added to this outstanding RV resort that could improve it any further. It is near perfect. Two aspects however might be worth mentioning. First is that the cafe’s exhaust from cooking with grease on the grill is blown directly into the men's locker room and showers. Second, and more important, is that with the resort’s beautiful landscape views, manicured green belts on the golf course, water features, waterfalls and various fountains, why in the world would everyone be required to back their rigs into their space? It seems that fifth wheelers with a large rear window would take much better advantage of such beautiful views, however this RV Resort only accepts Class A coaches. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for a week in March. We came here with high expectations, and were not disappointed. The pictures on the website do not do it justice. It is expensive, but worth it. One of the few places we found in the area that accept children. The place is spotless, the grounds are immaculate, and everyone we met was friendly. Even with over 1200 sites, it never seemed crowded, even at the pool areas. My only complaint was that only owners have access to the fitness facilities. That is the only reason I didn't rate it a 10. Will definitely be coming back for a longer stay in the future. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This beautiful park is well located and has all the amenities. People are friendly and the sites are good sizes and well spaced. My only complaint is that this park has some amenities, such as the fitness center, that are restricted to owners only. Given the rates that we paid, I was disappointed not to be able to use all the facilities here. Were that the case, I would have rated this park higher. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Many parks call themselves an "RV Resort" and fall short in one or more areas. This one truly is an RV Resort. Ample paved sites. Access roads well maintained with plenty of room to maneuver. Utilities all in working order. Beautiful golf and tennis facilities. Golf is a par-3, but what do you want, PGA West? All facilities neat and clean. Enjoyed their little lunch place by the pool. One of the few places in the area that isn't strictly a 55 and older spot. Our kids enjoyed riding bikes. Some people might be put off by the list of Rules and Regs. But I'm sure that if they didn't keep to their standards it would be as nice as it is. Saw Security patrolling 24-7. Only reason I didn't give it a 10 was I couldn't get the WiFi to work (signal seemed to be there but couldn't connect), and at times our site had a bit of sewage odor. But given the overall state of the park, I'm sure that was the exception rather than the rule. We generally prefer "camping" spots rather than "RV Parks", but I must say this park is a gem. WOW! This resort is absolutely beautiful. Lots are huge and the resort is well maintained. We will definitely stay here again. We did not eat at the restaurant so we cannot comment on it's food. All the staff were very friendly and courteous. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is one of the best rv resorts we have visited. A true RESORT facility. All the amenities. We stayed on lot #364, a great corner lot, equidistant between two pools. Spotless laundry facilities. Neighbors were great, friendly. Lots to do in the area. We absolutely loved it. Beautifully maintained lot, grounds, and entire facility. Would definitely return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Outstanding Resort. Beautiful setting. Great place to be in the winter but extremely hot in the summer. Owners can be snobbish if you don't have a high end motorhome. Last season, one lot sold for around $1 million!!! I own a lot across the street!! We camped here in a Motorhome.

It is an 'owner' park. This is the 'old' park across Avenue 48 from the 'new' Motor Coach Resort. A great par 3 golf course. Some activities [bingo, tennis, biking, etc.]. CC&Rs prevent ground mounted antennas. Owner's Lounge off limits to renters. You may not be allowed to use outdoor items [barbecue, sink, refrigerator, tables]. Class A motor homes only. Pads sell for $80K to $250K. Rents are in the $1200 to $1600 per month range. If you rent from the park the owner gets 60% of the fee. It is better to rent directly from an owner because he/she may allow you to use all the items on the pad. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is one of the nicest RV resorts in the entire greater Palm Springs area. Located between Palm Springs and Palm Desert, it’s close to everything. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with thousands (really!) of mature palm trees. The only dirt we’ve found is in the flower beds. We’ve rented here at Outdoor Resort at least 10 times during the past 15 years and have found most people to be friendly and cordial. While it’s not inconceivable that some owners (or even renters) might prefer to keep to themselves, we’ve always felt welcome with others at the pool, spa and organized activities (we especially like the hiking group). Even though there are some “owners only” facilities (billiards, owners’ lounge, exercise room and 18 holes of golf), all the pools, spas, tennis courts and “back 9” golf course are available to renters. Downside is that it’s very popular during the winter season, and with the imminent closing of nearby Emerald Desert RV Resort in Palm Desert (for a condo development), increasing rates will be the filter for a shortage of rental spaces. Too bad we didn’t buy a lot here years ago! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a twenty year old resort park that has many mature trees, plants and landscaping. We found the owners and other guests to be very cordial and had a couple of block parties during our month stay. The owners are very receptive to guests/renters as this is their customer base for lot sales or lot rental when they are not using it themselves. Rental fees range from $50 to $65 depending on season and view. This is not a 55+ park so children are welcome and use the same facilities such as pools as adults. We liked the 24 hour security, they even use a radar gun occasionally to enforce the ten mph speed limit. We camped here in a Motorhome.

You could not pay me to go back to this park. Although it is one of the prettiest parks in the US, the lots are all owned and as a renter, you are treated terrible. I was there for 3 months this winter and none of the neighbors even spoke. I was told by some owners that renters were not welcomed. As a renter, there are a lot of facilities that are "off limits". In 35 years of rving, we have never stayed at a park this snooty. When we introduced ourselves to people and they found out we were a renter, they turned up their nose and walked away. This park gets my award for the "Most Unfriendly Park" in the US. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beautiful, first class. Only 2 small complaints. No WiFi at site, have to walk to clubhouse; and had noise from gate house at our site (104). People honk their horn or stop to talk to the guard. Ok during the day, but horn and loud voices right outside your bedroom at 11pm or 5am is not necessary. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Without a doubt the best resort we have ever stayed in. Only caveat, it is a Class A resort ONLY, so if you don't have a late model big rig you miss out and this place is so great you may want to trade and get one just to be able to visit here. The grounds are perfectly maintained. Most lot owners have highly improved their lots adding outdoor kitchens, fruit trees, shade structures, landscaping etc. The rental fees include unlimited golf and access to the fitness center. There is always an activity going on, they have a wine and cheese reception for renters, so it is not just built around the owners. You will be invited numerous times to gatherings, parties, golf, tennis, pickle ball, bingo, luncheon and on and on. The premium resort parks in the Palm Springs area tend to get confused together (read the other reviews). This one is the Outdoor Resort in Indio, not the Motorcoach Country Club (which is also spectacular and used to share the Outdoor Resort Name) across the street or the Outdoor Resort - Palm Springs which is in Cathedral City and allows fifth wheels and Class C rigs (not sure on TTs). This park will not disappoint, but it will make all the other parks you visit pale in comparison. We camped here in a Motorhome.

What everyone else said. Just an outstanding RESORT in the truest sense! If one were to do a Google search for "RV lots for rent" you may find 1 or 2 web sites where owners list their lot for rent privately for less than the $77 a night if you rent through the office. This place is empty in May because it starts getting hot. We felt like we had our private RV Park and loved it. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a spectacular RV resort in every sense of the word. The sites are great, some are very well appointed with entertainment centers, wet bars and out door lighting. The sites are privately owned, and then rented out by the park when the owner is not there. Several are for sale at various price levels. It must be noted that this park is for class A coaches ONLY. I am not sure if an age limit on the age of the coach is imposed, but I did not see many older rigs in the park. Well appointed grounds, 3 pools, chipping golf course, and a full club house with restaurant. One irritation was the laundry. The machines are card operated by a cash card you have to buy for $5. Then you load the cash card with money in $5, $10, or $20 dollars at a time. You swipe the card on the card reader on each machine which deducts the required fee. No change or refund is given for money left on the card. If you lived there for extended period of time this situation would work fine. But we were there for about 5 days and it would have been a waste of money. We went to a laundry in town. Some of the resident guests are quite disturbed buy the frequent sounds of "pickle ball" being played on the tennis courts for hours on end on most days. If you are noise sensitive, try for a spot away from the club house. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

If you want to experience a top of the line RV Motor Home Resort this is the place. You will be surprised and amazed by the facilities, its people, and other campers living in their top of the line motor homes many complete with custom waterfalls, gardens, and ultra-designed adjacent environments. A five night free coupon is on their web site and even if you have to pay full fare, this place is well worth the experience. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Wow, this park is the one all others will be judged by. Fabulous, Unbelievable, Exclusive park we stayed at for 5 glorious days for free with a internet coupon. You were supposed to get a sales pitch about purchasing a spot, I think the salesman guessed we could not afford it when we pulled in with a under $100,000 dollar MH, he didn't even try and just handed us a pamphlet with prices. Just looking at the million dollar rigs on million dollar sites was worth it. Golf course in center of park, custom golf carts at every site worth $20,000 blew me away. Was great to walk dog and sightsee the inland waterways, etc. People were very friendly even though they knew we were only visiting. Would camp here again if someone would like to purchase a spot for us. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here using a coupon for 5 nights free. Amazing park. This is the standard by which all other RV parks will be judged. Of course, you have to come up with big bucks to either stay here ($100/night or 3k-4k/month) or buy here. Too rich for me, but nice to stay here for a few nights. Just walking around and looking at all the million dollar rigs was worth the stay. People were friendly and treated us great. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A very nice place. Summer hours, so not many folks around. Not pet friendly, and no dog runs. No outdoor dog pens allowed. Pricy, meaning $65 per night plus $10 per night for utilities. Had to pay for wifi. Workout facility only open part of the day. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We ran across this property in March and felt it was the best RV property in the country - so much so that we bought a lot in it. We returned in late April with our motorhome and got to know the area even better. This will be our "winter retreat" place to escape the rain in the Pac NW. This review is basically for owners of Big Rigs, as that is what the park was designed for and restricted to (30' Class A's & bigger). No nicer or more first-class motorcoach property in the U.S.A.! Absolutely the finest Park / Resort we've ever stayed at. Stunning views, water, excellent shape, plenty of room for 45 footers. Only complaint too many multiple dogs per family. Woof. Woof. Phase 3 now sold out, last phase probably ready in May/June. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Hands down the nicest RV park we have ever stayed in. They only allow 35-45' Class A motorcoaches. Many sites are owned and the whole place is built around a lake and golf course. Very clean and all sites are concrete and level. Manicured grass everywhere and lots of palm trees (not much good for shade). Great view of the mountains around Palm Springs. If you are looking for a first class RV park, this is the place, but it is not cheap. We arrived very late and the guard had a packet with our information and site map all ready. Good security. Fairground entrance is Gate 4, 46290 Arabia, Indio, CA. Call ahead to check if any activities going on at fairground. No amenities or activities, but concrete pull through spaces, lots of room, and full hookups for $20 per night. Whether you are just passing through or want to spend a day or two seeing Palm Springs and area, you can't beat this for location and price. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was our second overnight stay. We stayed here the weekend prior as well, which fell under their winter rate of $53 per night. The park was nice enough for us to stop a second time. Staff is friendly and helpful. Park is clean and well maintained. All sites are cemented and grassy areas are throughout the park (although the grass is struggling to survive as can be expected in the desert). Cement through the park is very cracked and looks old, but still better than dirt or gravel. Park has a pond which is nice to take a walk by. If you walk too far you'll find a second dry pond which is not a pleasant site and look as though it could be a mosquito heaven if not cleaned up soon. The community fire pit area has been let go and is in need of some attention. Over all this is a nice RV park and served it purpose for us, as we were just passing through to our destination both times we stayed. We camped here in a Motorhome.

What a great park. We have stayed in the area for the last 10 years, always in a bigger, fancier parks. This is the first time at this park, it is one of the best, great Owners, staff, very quiet, clean. Large private spaces. We will come back to this one over the bigger ones. The price is almost half. We stayed here for 6 nights. The park is well maintained and like other reviews it does get some noise from the freeway and trains but many other parks in this area do as well. The only concern is that you can't count on getting a specific site. When I booked, I was told that the park was full and they couldn't accommodate my request. When I arrived the park had many available spaces. They did apologize when I mentioned it to the office. The staff was great. The park is clean and secure with a locked gate. We stayed here for a few days to visit friends in Indio. Found it to be a nice park with level concrete sites and roadways. All utilities worked well other than WiFi which we couldn't get at our site. They do have a computer room/library for your use. There is a large heated pool and a large clubhouse. The entrance is through a coded access gate. The park is about 3 miles East of town and is very quiet. The grounds and building are well kept. The staff is most helpful and friendly. The rate reflects the P.A. rate. Lots of places to walk your dog including a large fenced dog run. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here as part of a club outing. Manager was very professional and the RV park was very clean. Great salt water pool and exercise room. This time of the year it does get hot but we enjoyed the pool area and club house. The park does book full during the winter by snow birds. So you could say it's a good value for the money. We plan to stay here again when in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I left my previous county-run campground (Mission Hills in San Diego) in distaste a day early so we could spend our final night camping at a REAL resort. I'm glad I did. We arrived after hours to a locked gate, but the phone number was clearly posted, the management answered promptly, and checked us in with no more delay than most open park offices. The clerk was extremely nice. Though the park was mostly empty, their pull throughs were both full, so she gave us our choice of other slots. We didn't unhitch, and hooked up to power and water only. The pool only went to 3.5' deep, but was lovely to just sit and soak in. The spa was absolutely heavenly, and just hot enough in the native Indio heat to be comfortable. The showers and toilets were very roomy and very clean. The park even provided shaving cream, shampoo, and cologne for guests (as well as stick deodorant, which I thought a bit disturbing, but it's not like anybody was forced to use it). The Wi-Fi was serviceable and capable (no problem with VPNs). Best of all, it was beautiful and peaceful, the perfect final night away. And it was worth the price, which was significantly LESS than the government-run "non-resort" we had fled. If I ever have need to camp in the Indio area again, I'm back here in a minute. This is our third stay here and we have enjoyed it each time. The people are very friendly and helpful. Although some of the spaces are close to each other, there are quite a few where you don't have anyone behind you. The noise from the freeway and trains is minimal like others have mentioned. I like it because it is somewhat protected from the very strong winds that come through the area. The only criticism is that you can't count on getting a specific site that you request and they will change your space without notification. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is very clean and well maintained. We have 2 kids, and it was one of the few parks in town that allow kids. The staff is great, very helpful. The rate is fairly high, but for good reason, the weather during the peak times is beautiful. My kids were very happy to be using the pool in February. I also used the fitness center, which was nice and had a good variety of equipment. There is also a little duck pond that the kids enjoyed. We would totally stay here again. This is the second winter we have spent in this park. We enjoy the friendly atmosphere created by staff and guests. The park is very clean and well maintained. TV service and Wi-Fi are provided free but both had service outages occasionally. Train and freeway noise is present but minimal. Pool and other amenities are excellent. There are lots of activities to keep you active including golf and hiking outings. Rate reflects a long term stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We had been looking forward to staying in the Palm Springs area and had read mixed reviews about this park. We carefully made precise reservations for the site we were looking for, and when we arrived, they had given away the site we were expecting. Instead of being helpful, they kept asking for the name of the person who took our reservation as if that would help. While the park is clean and has a nice library, we would not stay in such a cramped place again, especially given the high price. RV's are stacked so closely, there is barely enough space for the slides and tow vehicles. You can easily hear the conversations of the people in the RV next to you. I just wish there were better RV options available in the Palm Springs area. We did not hear too much freeway noise, but there is plenty of other noise from the nearby train tracks and wild roosters that seem to nest somewhere nearby. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the second time we've stayed here. Only gave the rating slightly less than 10 because I think the overnight AAA rate of $56 is a little steep - even in high season. It was too cold to use any of the facilities and we were there less than 24 hours. They do attract beautiful RV's and the place was as immaculate as ever. The bathrooms are always a welcome change from other parks with the soap/shampoo/conditioner dispensers in every shower. There's also hand lotion at the sink. All very thoughtful amenities. I do love the library. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed while dealing with some medical problems and I appreciated the clean, paved surfaces while dealing with a cast on my foot. Check-in was easy and our site was level and had a great little patio area. The laundry and bathrooms were spotless. The bathroom had a great handicap shower that had stools and was easy to use with a cast. Everyone was very friendly and the park hosted a Mexican BBQ one night that was great. I would definitely recommend this park to anyone. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I'm not sure the previous ratings were a good reflection of this park. The spaces are very wide and we were in a 34' 5th wheel and it fit fine length wise. I will say the roads are a little narrow for backing in your unit. We were lucky that the space directly across from us was empty. The park is exceptionally clean and the staff was very friendly. WiFi was excellent. Sprint and AT&T cell phones worked great. Sprint Aircard was also very good as well. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice and clean with a good dog park. However, they put us in a small site and we are 38 ft plus our truck and did not want to unhook. It is a good thing my husband was a good driver as it was difficult getting into the site. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is beautiful and well laid out. A mixture of back in sites with either a wall behind you, or other RV's. A couple of pull through sites near the entrance. Park was quiet and just starting to get busy with other snowbirds. There is a Pool and Spa. Neither in use as the pool temperature was 72F and the spa was 102F, though it felt considerably colder when you got into it, more like 80F. I complained to the manager and she said we were the second people to tell them that, but nothing was done to increase the temperature. There is a lily pond with a decorative water fountain. We had a site near it and it was really nice to look at from the coach. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Older park with some full time residents in older trailers. Quite a bit of traffic in and out. Expensive for a one night, pull through site by the front security gate. A landscape crew came by after we got set up and were relaxing with a cold beverage and asked if they could "trim" one of the trees at the site. We said sure. Then they bring out the CHAINSAWS and started "trimming" with sawdust blowing all over us and the RV. Our fault, should have said come back tomorrow. Would not stay here again. This is a fantastic place to stay! There is a stone wall surrounding the park with a security gate at front. Called ahead and the very friendly staff said to come on in and gave me the gate code. Very easy check-in and essentially chose whatever site we wanted. This being a very low season time, the place was practically deserted and the AAA rate was a steal for all the amenities this park has. There's a HUGE sparkling swimming pool, which we had all to ourselves. The park, and every amenity attached to it was spotless. The sites were level with oleanders and mature palm trees between the sites, which provided nicely filtered shade. The lily pond with the lovely lighted water fountain was very serene to see at night. The spa had the best jets I've ever experienced. There was a media room with a huge TV and DVD's to watch. The library had a computer for customers' use and tons of books and magazines. The restrooms were the best I've seen with complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel dispensers in each shower. Even a hair dryer, now that's class! Loved this place and would definitely stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very well maintained park, nice sites on concrete pads, flowering bushes in-between. Off season for them, very quiet for us, had the heated pool all to ourselves. The owners were very nice, called the night before, gave us code to enter and paid in the morning. Beautiful pond, even the ducks were friendly, would definitely return here, this is first class. Diamond in the rough is the best way we could describe this RV resort. Since retiring three years ago, we have traveled all over the US and never been compelled to write about any of the places we’ve stayed until we stayed here. We’ve also stayed at most of the RV parks and motor coach resorts in the Palm Springs area, but this going to be our place to stay from here on. It feels like a small hideaway, but with all the amenities of a fine resort. The staff made us feel like family and went out of their way for us. My wife particularly enjoyed the fitness center in the morning, and extremely clean pool and Jacuzzi in the evening. The restrooms were meticulously clean and spread out well around the property. The hotel type amenities in the showers were a great touch. After traveling all day through the desert this place was truly our oasis. They have a beautiful pond that we walked our dog around in the evening. It was almost like being in a different world. The landscaping was beautiful, staff was professional and affable, location was freeway close but also quiet, and the price was a great value for what they provide. We will not only make this a regular stop when traveling through the desert, but have even planned to meet some friends here for a week in September. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a very clean, quiet, convenient place to stay. The restrooms were well maintained, very clean, and even had toiletries for forgetful campers. A very friendly, efficient check-in preceded a greeting by the owner as we set-up. It was an easy, ten minute drive to the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, where I watched some of the open tennis event. The pool and spa were perfect. There appeared to be organized exercise activity in the morning which I did not attend. The sites were concrete, and a very nice, grassy area separated the adjacent row. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for a week over Thanksgiving, which we're guessing is a bit before things get into full swing for the winter. So, things may have been in transition. There were several long-term snowbirds and a few overnighters. Location was convenient. Staff was welcoming. (The guy with tattoos is a sight, but harmless.) With I-10 close by, periodic ATVers between the park and the freeway, and an occasional train, noise can be a problem. Sites are a bit tight and would be tough when this park is full. We enjoyed our stay, but will likely check out another park next time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

An okay deal at passport rate of $24.00 plus tax. Definitely not worth full price of $50.00. The pad was not clean. The sewer top was buried in the weeds around electric hookup. Hookup was full of spiders. The guys next door appeared to be here for a while and were messy. Long term workers, in late, out early. Noisy. A guy came around early to check site tag was covered with tattoos and piercing,( face, body,) pretty scary. We are not into that. Lady in the office was very nice and accommodating. Didn't use the pool, but it looked nice. Didn't hear train as mentioned in other reviews. Wont come again. Other parks near by are much nicer. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Sites are sort of hard to get into. Trees over hang streets and sites, scratched one guys new motorhome. Wifi is restricted and cable TV is a problem. Water pressure is low, had to dig sewer hookup out of the dirt and electrical outlet was full of spiders. Train and Road noise is a loud. Third manager in two years. I will never stay here again. We came for Coachella Fest weekend and the staff catered to our every need. They stayed up all night, cooked for us and had a live DJ. The place was clean, and tenter's had a great place to camp.. We will return again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground is NOISY. We arrived to find they were hosting guests from the nearby pop concert. The management provided guests with LOUD amplified music from 9am to 2pm and even changed the quiet hours to 3am-7am so that they could enjoy their partying without breaking the rules. There is a railroad somewhere close by as well as the I-10 freeway. Guests not under the influence of alcohol are awoken by the noise of long, noisy trains on the busy railroad and trucks on the freeway from about 6am. We tried to get a refund and move on but the refund was refused and so we had to stay and endure it. The campground website is rather misleading 'few minutes away' from Palm Springs attractions is in fact a 20 mile drive. Don't even consider coming here unless you have a car, there is no public transport available, without a car you are stranded. Leave this campground to the snowbirds, they may not hear so well. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Excellent well run park. Very clean, nice grassy sites, very pet friendly, staff very friendly and helpful. Coming back next year We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

They have had problems with the WiFi and the Cable TV, as well as equipment in the fitness room. All due to a power surge. The cable has been fixed,, still not great, and they limit your WiFi access. The manager's attitude is if you don't like it go someplace else, because they can fill your spot. Next year we will. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice, very clean and neat park. Great staff! After a long drive from Bakersfield, they fixed me up with a pull through. Although most spaces are back in, after I explained I was not great at backing up, and the sun was about to set into darkness, I was super pleased. My space was concrete, level, very long, and level, I did not have to unhook, big plus for me. I headed directly to the super clean and wonder spa, and shower. And after a nice quite evening, was ready to go. I stayed here overnight and would definitely stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped here on our maiden voyage of our new travel trailer. The staff was excellent in getting us a site that was easy to back into. They have a little pond. The cg was very clean. The weekend we stayed here it was 100 degrees and the amps worked good. They also have a nice big pool. We enjoyed our stay here! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park is wonderful. The pool and hot tub are great. Showers are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body gel, along with hair spray, Q-tips, mouthwash, and several other "extras." The new manager is very friendly and accommodating. She made us feel very welcome. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Spotlessly clean showers and restrooms with all the fine hotel amenities; shampoo, etc. In fact, the entire park would qualify as spotless. Pricey but Dec is prime season. They're upgrading wifi and phone and adding some sites but this won't detract from a very enjoyable stay! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A great park with very nice facilities including all paved sites, WiFi, pool, spa, lots of grass and a fairly well equipped fitness room. We usually stay at Emerald Desert on our way to and from Arizona to see our kids and grandkids, but it is now closed during the summer and has been reduced to 250 sites due to condo and shopping development. The staff at Shadow Hills was very nice and free DVD's and a book exchange top off the nice stay we had. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice and well maintained campground. Many activities, similar to larger resorts, but has more of a "small town" feel due to having only 100 sites. All facilities are in excellent shape. Love the free DVD/VHS rentals! Not much around, but there is a Starbucks 2 miles away. 2 parks in the area are closing, meaning a loss of 1100 rental spots, so make plans early. Free wi-fi was awesome, cable TV is lacking entertainment-type channels. Lot of info-type channels: CNN, BBC, Discovery health, Fox news, TBS, etc. I'd definitely stay here again! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Newer RV park, with paved roads and level sites, picnic tables and grass areas at each site. Free wireless internet and cable TV. They had a clubhouse for group activities with a pool and hot tub. Park was very well maintained, with clean showers and restrooms. We stayed here five days. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Indian Waters is one of the nicest RV parks we have stayed in. It is very clean with green grass and beautiful shrubbery and trees. The people who work here are very friendly and helpful. There are many activities or you can just enjoy the pond and pool. Everything you need is just a short drive away. We love it here! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Had made reservations through the central Western Horizons System as members, and were still sent to the separate area that has no sewer dumps!! People were thinking that this area was only for non-members - Not so! A honeywagon comes by certain days of the week only to pump out your rig. So you have to watch your use of water. Nice location with good facilities and activities. Outside street noise levels can be quite high at the perimeters. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is our home park as a member of Western Horizon Resorts. This is a great park with lots of activities, friendly staff and members, and a great location for winter visits to the Palm Desert and Palm Springs areas. My wife and I especially enjoyed the outdoor activities which included hiking in the nearby hills and kayaking at the Salton Sea. Great weather, lots of cinemas, theaters, and sports events to keep one busy. Since we don't have a tow vehicle and carry bikes on the back of our rig, we went on the outdoor hikes with fellow campers, and used the local bus system ($0.50 a ride) to get around the entire valley when not biking or walking. Convenient to shopping centers and lots of shopping. As to previous comments about different sites. All members receive a different site when they enter the park. In my experience, all sites are large and inviting. This is a great park! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Indian Waters RV Park is a Western Horizons park and part of the RPI network. There are two different sections - one for Western Horizon's members, and one for RPI/AOR members. The $12 rate includes $2 for electric (not 50amp). All the sites are large with a concrete pad to park your rig, the area for members is grassy with full hook-ups and the area for non-members is gravel with only electric and water. There is no cable throughout the park, and wifi is free, although it is terrible. Western Horizons knows their wifi is bad because they even give you a disclaimer when you check-in of the reasons they think it's bad. However they just need to spend a bit more money and get some more bandwidth. The positives of Indian Waters - it is clean, has a pool and hot tub, horseshoes, shuffleboard, a dining area and lot of activities. There is a social room with a small book exchange. Quite honestly, we probably would not come back to this park - the segregation just gives the place a negative vibe. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here to learn more about Western Horizons campground memberships on their 3 day free pass program. The salesman was rude and nearly hostile when we told him we were not ready to buy at this time. We will not return to this park and probably not to any other Western Horizon facility. We used Resorts Of Distinction for our reservation. We got to Indian Waters on the day they were opening for the season. They were planting the winter grass so things were a little out of the ordinary. The only issue was that the sprinklers were set to go off several times leaving things a little wet most of the time. That should be over by the middle of October. We had site 141 that was in the member area so it is possible to get a site with sewer hookups even if not a member. It had a large carob tree that provided lots of afternoon shade. It was very close to the pool, restrooms, shower, laundry, and activity room. Everything was very well maintained even though it was opening day. We had stayed in the area without sewer hookups previously and it was very nice; new and well designed, plenty of room. It is an RV park in an urban setting so you need to expect things that you would experience in such a setting. On the plus side shopping was nearby and plentiful as were places to eat. Three casinos are within a 10 minute drive. There is some noise but not too noticeable. We would definitely stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The section of this Western Horizon park for regular members was very nice, with concrete pads fully surrounded by green grass, and lots of shade trees and full hookups. However, if you are visiting on an affiliate membership or something like CampClubUSA you are relegated to what appears like an overflow area with water & electricity only. It also has concrete pads but just gravel all around. The trees were not mature enough to provide any real shade. Plus, that area is near the streets, so its noisy. Unless you really like the "thump-thump" of car boom boxes, do not take a site near Jackson Ave. It continued until past midnight and started again in AM. The WIFI is painfully slow with speeds of 1-2 Mbps, which the WIFI "expert" told me was the normal top speed there. However, I must add I was about as far away from their WIFI equipment as was possible and still be in the park. The staff we had contact with was friendly, and the amenities looked good, although we did not make use of them. We won't be going back there. We had a "limited" membership so the fee was $2 for electricity and $1 for WIFI. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Spotless, upscale resort. All the usual resort-type activities. Landscaping alert: nothing on the ground unless it's on your concrete pad. Nice, friendly staff. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We own a membership in this campground so it only costs us $2. a night. We love going here. I wish they had a fenced dog park. The only problem is that it is hard to get a full hook up spot. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a Western Horizon membership park. Poorly maintained. Large patches of dead lawns. Our big rig wouldn't fit onto their lawn pads (sprinklers) so we had to move to to a gravel pad. Gravel and poorly paved roads (paved but gravelly). Facilities clean but dated. Mediocre experience at best. Pads did have cement patio area and plenty of parking for tow car. Staff were unapologetic when told of deficiencies and exhibited take it or leave it attitude. If considering a Western Horizons membership, just be certain this is the level of "quality" you are expecting. If not -- move on. Also, park is located in a marginal area of Indio and not a comfortable area if you wanted to leave the resort of a bike ride or walk. We camped here in a Motorhome.
