This campground is located right next to Running Deer campground. It has 2 group camping spots. Very clean restrooms. No hookups, dry camping only. Very beautiful lake and area located in the Plumas National Forest. Great lake for fishing and recreation but no speed boats. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Memorial Day weekend expect to see snow in the campgrounds. My experience the snow has been all melted by end of June to July. La Porte gift shop has friendly owners. Neat little town feel. Whole area very rustic. Great fishing for rainbow trout and German Brown. Great lake for canoeing, party boat, water skiing but no speed boats. Very relaxed environment. Summer temp avg. 85. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
