It is a lovely park! The sites are a bit small, and some would not be particularly good with a trailer. Our site was quite spacious. It was a bit noisy on weekends, but not bad. There is a lot of shade, mostly from redwoods. We have a solar charger, and it was a bit of a problem, but well worth it. Without traffic, we were able to get to SF in about 45 mins. Even better - we could get to Point Reyes National Seashore in less time! (I checked the Wi-Fi box because you can get it for a fee withing a couple hundred feet of the guard station). We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
This campground was amazing! It is just minutes from San Francisco but in a gorgeous redwood forest. The campground is heavily wooded and quiet. There were clean showers available for 50 cents. I recommend this place to anyone who can do without hook ups. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Samuel P. Taylor is a really beautiful state park, close to San Francisco and to Point Reyes National Seashore. There's no electricity, but the facilities are clean and the sites are well spaced and located in a beautiful redwood forest. There's a dump station up at the front. We stayed there while visiting Point Reyes, and although there are private RV parks nearby with better amenities, we haven't seen ones that are attractive--S.P. Taylor State Park is beautiful. There are about 35 RV-capable sites, and many more tent sites. We camped here in a Truck Camper.
