I have stayed at Jackson's for three years now as a weekender, only leaving during the summer when it gets too hot. It's a small park with about 25 spaces. Half of those have permanent trailers in them that John (Jackson) rents out on monthly basis. These all have been refurbished. Typically, he only rents visiting RV spaces on a monthly basis as well, but has been known to make exceptions if you call in advance. This park has excellent infrastructure (50 amp, great water pressure, septic) and is about as quiet as a park can get. For off roaders, it's terrific as you have direct access to thousands of BLM acres. The town of Ocotillo doesn't offer much. A few bars, small restaurant and a gas station/mini mart. However, El Centro is 30 minutes away and offers every store, plus a mall, needed. John, Harlene and Bill (son) are wonderful hosts. They have a great patio attached to their home this is excellent for desert relaxing. There is also a rec room with Sat TV open 24 hours. Coin-op laundry and a free public bathroom with shower are available. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
