This was our first time staying at Dos Picos. We arrived on a Tuesday and had the campground pretty much to ourselves. It was very quite. Our 3 kids enjoyed riding their bikes through the campgound and by the small lake/pond. The picture on the reservation website showed grass at our site #36, but upon arrival we could not find any sites that had grass. The oak trees made for nice shade and were all through the park. We would stay here again, but only on a weekday. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a great park, neat, clean and well-maintained. There is ample spacing between the sites so the park never feels crowded. There are lots of trees, so pay attention to the notes on the website if you want satellite access. The only drawback, for big rigs, are the very narrow roads and tight curves. The site was plenty big for our 41 footer, but it was very tight getting in and out. San Diego County has the best website for reserving campsites that I have ever seen...check it out. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a return visit, we last stayed here a few years ago. Several improvements have been made to the interior roads and the sites. Sites are covered in wood mulch, which makes things less dusty. The restrooms were clean, but had spider webs and they could really use modernization. The interior roads are narrow, but there is plenty of room between you and your neighbor. Overall a pleasant camping experience. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We are Western Horizon Members and this is one of our member parks. We've stayed here a few times. This time was the worst for POWER. We were in a 50 AMP site, but the poor was equally bad using our 30 or 50 AMP connections. We rarely could use our microwave without starting the generator since the power hovered around 106V to 108V at dinner and breakfast time. Using our microwave brings it below acceptable margins for our power management system (below 105V). This is an old park, spared by the recent wildfire, but neat, clean and in a country setting. The management is nice enough. The roads and many hillside sites are narrow for big rigs and difficult to get into and the sites are close to unusable for a big rig because of poor power when the park is close to full. My wife doesn't want to return due to the inconvenience of the low power. We are full-timers. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a membership park. We went there to see a presentation for a Western Horizons Camping Membership, so there was no charge for our stay. The park is old and needs a lot of updating. It sits on a hillside, so the terrain is very uneven. You’re right next to highway 78, so you’re going to have traffic noise unless you’re near the back of the park. The sites are back in type. The one we stayed in had 30 amp service. The WIFI is non-existent unless you're near the clubhouse. The cable has about 5 channels. The pool was heated and in good condition. The pool house on the other hand is in need of repairs and/or replacement. I noticed a fresh coat of paint over rotting wood. There are a lot of trees in this park. Large motor homes will need to take care not to scratch their paint on some of the branches hanging down. The roads are narrow and not made for larger motor homes, but they do fit with some helpful guiding. Verizon cell phone service is spotty at best. If you go, bring something to ward of the ants; they are everywhere. We noticed a lot of people using Ajax/Comet around their tires to keep the ants at bay. The park overall needs a lot of cleanup and repair. In my opinion it's not a place I'd be using to showcase / sell new memberships. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here on a membership. It is tiered on a hill. You have no cell phone service or WiFi at most all sites. You can go up to the top of the hill in the club house and get a weak signal on both. We probably won't stay here again. Staff was friendly. You can't have charcoal BBQs here.so bring your propane. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
