We loved this little place and will definitely go back. The sites were huge and shaded by beautiful oak trees. We had two side-by-side sites and had more than enough room between us to put up a tent for another family. The bathrooms were clean and the camp hosts were awesome - they run a tight ship and it shows. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Located in the Los Padres Natl. Forest off of the San Marcos Pass road (hwy. 154) then East at Paradise Rd. THIS CAMPGROUND IS NOT BIG RIG FRIENDLY. We're 35' and there is a tight squeeze between 2 trees.....Not for the faint of heart!! Nice campground with plenty of shade in the summer. Weekends are nuts but during the week it stays pretty quiet. Very close to the Santa Ynez river, (across the road). Red Rock day use area (further up Paradise Rd.) is great for the kids to swim and float on rafts. Many areas along the river to picnic and find swimming holes. Have been coming to this area for over 40 years and really enjoy time here. Wild turkeys wander in and out of the campsites looking for a handout. Water spigots throughout the campground and they have bathrooms. There is normally a campground host here. There's a store at the beginning of Paradise Rd. where they serve food and you can eat outside. Ice, Beer, groceries, the normal stuff you might run out of while camping. Buy gas in Santa Barbara but if you need to fill up there's Cachuma Lake Co. Park or the town of Solvang to the north. We camped here in a Motorhome.
