We camped here in order to attend an evening concert at the Kentucky Mine, which is 7 miles away. Worked perfectly for that purpose--this stretch of 49 is a good road to travel at night. However, the campground has seen much better days. Sites are not level and are very small, but our RV is smallish and we got our 1 slide out. There is fresh drinking water, but it is not possible to fill RV tanks with it. Too bad we were counting on that.... Very good camp hosts. There is a hiking trail within the park, along the creek--not well-maintained (wear your boots!) but pretty. Note that fee of $19 does not include $9 reservation fee through recreation.gov (ouch!) or additional tax. Fee is awfully high for pretty primitive camping. We camped here in a Motorhome.
