Owners on site were very friendly and helpful. Cash or check only - no credit cards accepted. Most sites have too many trees to allow use of Dome Satellite TV. Some spaces may be tight, and there are some very big rocks to avoid. This was OK for an overnight, but next time we'll stay in Yreka because big rig access within the park was easier, and we can use a credit card. The restrooms were very clean, but could be updated. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a bare-bones park, OK for a one nighter off of I-5 or Hwy 97. A stone's throw from major truck stop area with fast food eateries(South Weed exit.) Gravel throughout. Owners are in the process of upgrading the park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Lots of permanent residents (mostly loggers according to office help). Pull thru sites are actually double sites where the first one in is in front and can exit easily and the second one in has to back out if the first one does not leave before them! Sites all gravel. Next to truck stop but not too noisy. OK for an overnight stop. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Lovely park, gravel pads but perfectly level with nice trees on the perimeter sites. As noted earlier the pull throughs are "buddy" sites so you may share with someone else. We just overnighted but would not hesitate to stay here for a longer time. Definitely on our repeat list. Real easy access from I-5 and lots of food and gas choices withing 300 yards. We camped here in a Motorhome.
As the name suggests, they have a very friendly staff. Nicely kept park with a beautiful view of Mt. Shasta. The WiFi worked great and the cable TV had one of the strongest signals we've encountered at an RV park. I wouldn't consider this a destination park because of its location next to a truck stop (which believe it or not wasn't noisy at all), but an excellent place to stay for a night or two when passing through. The park is conveniently located from the freeway, gas stations and restaurants. While staying there, don't miss the chicken fried steak dinner at the HiLo cafe in downtown Weed! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Nice place to stay just off of the highway and easy access. It appears that they are doing some work on the park and it needs it. There are a number of full-timers, but they are all quiet and neat sites.BD. Sites are in some trees and wide enough for slides AND awnings, if needed. There are a couple of good looking places to eat nearby and several large fuel stations. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a very cute little RV park near Weed. Although it's a "just the basics" kind of park, they do have laundry facilities and WiFi. The cable is fairly decent, a little over 50 channels. The park is located within a very short walk of a few restaurants (both "fast food" and "sit down") and a gas station with a convenience store. The "pull through" spots are in the center of the park, and the configuration is "front and back twosies." This means, if you are in the front, someone could pull in behind you. If you are in the back, and the front person doesn't leave when you do, then you have to back out, and can't "pull through." (There ought to be a separate category for this, it's the second time I have seen it!) If you don't want to be "paired," then request a perimeter site, which will be "back in." The perimeter sites have tall pine trees. This is a great "stopover" place on your way north or south on Interstate 5. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great bargain. Wonderful location at the foot of Mt. Shasta. WiFi is a little weak, but this is a small complaint. Only major complaint is that rigs are kind of stacked where we were put. There are, however, open sites that would be much more comfortable. Very, very, nice managers. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Nice park for an overnighter. Clean and easy to get around. Friendly staff. The back half appears to be mostly long-term and perms. But the sites aren't a mess like we have experienced at other parks of the same character. Free wi-fi, but the signal quality left a lot to be desired. A very good Mexican restaurant is a couple of blocks away. Fuel stops and mini marts plentiful. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We called 2 hrs ahead of arriving and asked if a big rig pull thru site might be available. We were assured there was. On arriving there was a little difficulty finding the park (signage and cell phone direction mix up) and the folks came out to the street to make sure we did not miss the turn second time around. Our pull thru was 80 ft. long, paved, and easy in easy out. Good free wi-fi, free cable,50 amp.,and easy access to I5. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This campground is a good place to stop for the night for anyone traveling the I-5 corridor in an RV that includes a restroom. They close the restrooms (to avoid transients from vandalizing them) from 10:00 pm until 7:00 am. If you don't have a restroom in your rig, this could be quite problematic. The prices are good and they were far enough away from the freeway that we didn't hear any noises, even in our tent trailer. I wouldn't stay there again in our trailer, but in anything with a restroom would be fine. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
Great place to stay if you are headed into eastern Oregon from Interstate Highway 5. No pool or amenities but provides that needed respite from the road. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A convenient lay over campground if you are traveling along the I-5 corridor in Northern California. A friendly staff, clean restrooms and the campground is keep clean and tidy. There are a few permanent Rv'ers, but nothing to be alarmed about. The campground is located on the south end of the town of Weed. Easy access off the interstate with restaurants within walking distance and fuel locations that are easy to negotiate thru. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a tired little campground located in trees right between I-5 and railroad tracks. Nice lady at the office, level sites and good hookups; however, the noise, sandy soil that stuck to your shoes, and old campers made this a place we would not return. Bad enough that it's located within 100 yards of I-5, that part of the highway is on a hill so you're treated to exhaust brakes, too. But then the trains drowned out the trucks every once in a while. We did get to pick some of the apples growing wild in the park (with permission), but it was still way to expensive for what they offer. We camped here in a Motorhome.
