This a great find during the busy camping season. We stayed there the weekend after the fourth of July. Everywhere else was booked but this nice little place had several spaces. It is heavily wooded in tall evergreens with incredible mountain views and near a rushing creek (the West Fork of the Carson river) the sound was pleasing. The sites are short, we have a 22' class C but over 24-26' could be a problem. A few spots were longer but I saw only one pull through. Not for big rigs! Tent campers and small rig paradise. No hook ups but clean restrooms, some road noise. We loved it and with senior pass $8,(US Forest Campground) a bargain. Definitely will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a old forest service campground which is now being run by concessionaires and is keep up very clean. Primitive in the sense, no-hookups of any kind but very relaxing. We camped here in a Motorhome.
