We stayed at Difficult Campground for two nights while visiting the Aspen area. This is a typical National Forest Campground with vault toilets, no showers or other services. The bathrooms were clean and well cared for. The camp hosts were helpful and accommodating on check-in. I was there over the weekend following the 4th of July and had reserved in advance, which turned out to be a good thing as the campground was full. We were in a large pull-through site that left ample room for the trailer and truck. The campsites are relatively isolated from each other and are quite large. Due to fire danger in Colorado, no fires were allowed, though each campsite has a firepit and picnic table. We were very pleased with the campground and its proximity to Aspen. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
