Beautiful rv park. They had immaculate bathroom and shower facilities. The sites were spacious and level with good gravel roads and pads. There was lots of shade, green area, and amenities. The only downside was the WiFi.. The connection was extremely slow. It responded like the old dial-up connections. We were right next to a repeater so we had 5 bars of connection, but no response speed. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Good KOA. We stayed for a week. Gravel roads, gravel level sites, easy in/out for big rigs. Place stays pretty busy with lots of rigs coming/going. A few permanent RVs didn't detract. Good location not far outside of Grand Junction. Friendly staff. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a very nice park. Very clean with gravel lots and grass table areas. And level! No issues with the internet as others had reported. Nice check in - escorted to lot. I highly recommend this park. Pricey but worth it. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great sites; good access to I-70; gravel and level. However, poor rating is due to inadequate WiFi. WiFi is adequate, not fast, during the middle of the night, but between 4:00 pm and 10:00 pm, it becomes "all stop." Bandwidth is inadequate for 2012 when most folks travel w/laptops, iPads, & iPods, Kindles or the like, or other android devices. The last CG used Tengo and it was slow too, but this KOA is using an independent ISP. While everything except WiFi, was great, I would seek another CG hoping their WiFi would function better. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice super clean park! We had plenty of room for slides to open and a nice grass area with a picnic table. The park managers were very friendly, as were some of their helpers who were working on the grounds. We would stay here again!! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Easy entry to park with quick check in and a guide to the site. Some of the front office folks were not too clear when assisting with directions (just up the road, about a half mile, can't miss it, etc). Site was hard gravel with a patch of grass shared between sites. Site was level. Easy access back to I-70. I would stay here again if needed. We stayed for 3 nights and were satisfied. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Only reason it didn't get a 10 is I like more room, but that you won't find in nearly any KOA. Staff was great, site was level, water was clean. The kids really enjoyed the pool and mini golf for free, plus the nightly movie was a hit with them (free also). The laundry had plenty of machines and our 1 1/2 weeks of clothes for a family of four was done in under two hours start to folded. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
The park is clean, well maintained and the park staff is as helpful as they can be. The pool is clean and the sites are level. We tried the Wi-Fi on my sons PS3, but it didn't work, but it did work fine on my wife's laptop. Not a big issue. The only thing I have a problem with was that they charged $4.00/additional for each child. I will do my homework in the future, but why can't they charge the same rate for 1-4 people and an additional rate for groups larger than 4? This seems to be consistent among KOA's. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a nice park in a quiet location right on the way if you're headed for Silverton, Telluride, or Ouray. The spaces are level with small grassy areas next to the picnic tables. They have two fenced in dog runs. They have a nice pool and many things for the younger people like movies each night, ping pong, pool, goofy golf, life-sized checkers, and more. Wal-Mart is a five-mile drive but there is an excellent western wear store within a mile west on Highway 50 with cowboy hats ranging from $20 to $6,000! Yes, we would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good Average KOA. Pull-Through sites have easy access. Not a lot of privacy as there is little foliage between sites. Park is clean with hard gravel sites. WiFi & Cable TV worked just fine. There is a major supermarket just down the road. Only downside is that it is quite a ways off of I-70 so it's a bit out of the way for an over night. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice campground; a little out of the way from I-70, but it is quiet. We had a pull through site and the sewer was quite far back in the site, which did reach, but just barely, when we parked to the very back of the site almost on the road. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is your standard issue KOA. Gravel roads, gravel sites, and a sprinkling of trees. No surprises either bad or good. The hosts were friendly, the roads were wide, and the pull-through sites were reasonably large. The Wi-Fi worked well. The campground is on US 50 on the south side of Grand Junction which gives good access to the town and to Delta and Montrose to the south. US 50 has a median in front of the campground so you have to go a few hundred feet north and then head back south to reach the campground from the south. To head north into town you have to head south to the next cross street, then make a U turn. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This was a very nice KOA campground. Restrooms were very clean. The only negatives for us were the pet area and lack of a place for us to walk. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Beautiful little park with nice level sites. Would have stayed longer but sightseeing in Grand Junction leaves a little to be desired! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stayed during the beginning of July. The campground may have once been far outside the town but the town has grown though the campground feels as if it still out on it's own. The weather was warm and pleasant, the mornings mosquito free but at 5:00ish they seemed to swarm for an hour or so. The staff is is pleasant and the staff helpful maintaining the campgrounds very well. The sites are large and spacious giving us more than enough room. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Excellent campground! Very clean with updaged bathrooms. Pool and mini golf. Level sites with trees. The staff was very friendly. Space between campers. We will be back! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is typical of a nicer KOA park. Expensive, kids, dogs, tents and some campfires in the built in grills. Moderate road noise which dies off at night. Nicely run, friendly staff, good trees and grass with gravel interior roads. The Wi-Fi is unacceptably slow, dial up slow. If good Internet is important to you I would use a different park, otherwise a good choice. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice park. Large, level sites. Very clean. Really enjoyed our stay here. Close to a City Market grocery store and about 10-15 minutes from a super Wal-Mart. Nearby "Aztecas" restaurant has excellent Mexican food. Park was quiet at night, showers/ restrooms were very clean. Owners even cleaned the dog runs several times a day. (Thanks to dog owners who do not know how to clean up after their pets.) Would definitely stay here again. It is a way off of I-70, but we were needing good access to Hwy 50 and this fit the bill. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Pretty basic campground, but we would stay here again. Be prepared to drive quite a way off the main road to get here, but it is not difficult. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We had a very nice stay at this park. There was some minor road noise, but it was minimal. The park itself is well cared for and very well groomed. The sites are ample, shaded and level with watered grass in between. This is a 2009 KOA award winner and all staff appear to take great pride and are fully engaged. The pool was closed for the season, but we knew that already. Good location to explore the area. We would definitely stay here again when in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This was a decent enough place and quite fairly priced for a KOA. The location was great, the staff was great, the property is well maintained. There are many "permanents" here, people that live here and leave for work early in the morning, but their sites are clean and tidy, although the people are not particularly friendly. We were in site E-7 which was long enough for our combined length, but in the midst of the permanents, which brings me to why this campground was not rated higher (yes, I suppose it is not the campgrounds fault). In three years of full timing this campground holds the distinction of the first place we've ever had anything stolen - not a big item, not a pricey item, but something taken from our site. This was so distressing for us! With that said, if we returned here we would request a site away from these permanent sites, although I am not at all certain it was a "permanent" who took our property. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We used this campground as an overnight stop even though it was a few miles off the 70, because we like quiet and were not disappointed. We were towards the back and our site had a nice grass lawn with gravel and we leveled easily. The dog run was pretty good size with dirt and gravel. We had to pay an extra $5.00 for a third person which made it a little expensive for an overnight, but all in all it was a nice park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a nice park just as you come into town via SR 50. You have to make a u-turn to get to park which can be tricky with traffic. There are buddy sites. It is very quiet at night. Staff is friendly and helpful. There is a large laundry area with large washers and dryers. Lots of activities are available. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Average KOA in our experience. Pet exercise area is rock, so we took the dogs off the property. Has a friendly staff. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very noisy park, but probably not something the park could control because of its location near a public street, near the back of the park. Staff was moderately friendly. Location was good to the local attractions. However, staff came by while we were gone, moved our grill and didn't return it to where we had it next to the picnic table, with no explanation at all. Had an end-site and that was nice. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a very nice campground for exploring the area or an for an overnight stay, which was our case. Has an excellent, clean LARGE pool with nice loungers and shady areas. Has recently graveled roadways, level sites and very new cabins. There is a very unique theater outside "room" with surround sound. Has a nice dog run, and we noticed the owner has installed some premium sites with paver patios along with fire rings with grass. Park has friendly owners and employees, spottless showers/restrooms, and last but not least, a VERY NICE game room for the kiddos! We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here for an overnight. It has nice, clean bathrooms. Level sites. Good internet connection. Nice staff. It is a bit difficult to get to from I-70W. Fine for an overnight. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a pleasant, quiet RV Park and a good place to stay if you wish to drive around the Colorado National Monument. The staff was friendly and very helpful. When I asked if they knew where I could get high pressure air for one of my motorhome tires, they brought a high pressure air compressor to my site. The sites have clearly been improved quite a bit over the past few years and more work is planned. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a typical KOA. Facilities were clean and sites were shady and level. Several miles from I-70. Neighborhood was a bit noisy, with racing cars. Fine for an overnight stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This was our second stay at the GJ KOA in as many years and we were pleased. For a "city" campground it's not bad at all. We usually stay here as a stopover (although it's not very close to I-70) on our way to another destination. It's certainly better than just a gravel lot with no trees. Not every spot has shade, but many of them do (we were in D-6 & no shade). The showers and bath were spotless --we often saw someone cleaning. The price we paid reflects the KOA member discount. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a decent place. Not spectacular, but decent. Clean and well-maintained. No undesirable long-term residents. A diligent owner-manager. Next to the fairgrounds; no idea what it's like during Fair week. Next to the highway with a barrier that reduced noise to an acceptable level. Staff is courteous and professional but it seems that the owner is the only one who is knowledgeable enough to solve problems. We stayed there several days waiting for the roads to clear over the Rockies and would stay there again. Wi-Fi was pretty good when it worked; the only drawback to this place was that either the Wi-Fi or the Internet connection to the outside crashed at least once a day. Good cellular signal there though so if you have a USB stick and data plan you'll be fine. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park had excellent shower and laundry facilities. They are trying to improve the campground, so there was work going on. It is completely gravel. Some grass between campers and some where dog walk was. There is a fenced-in area for dogs but the walk is all gravel and we felt there should have been a little more grass for the dogs to walk. The staff was very friendly and it is acceptable, but there are no extras here. Wi-Fi and cable were good, but one night we had a car to pull in beside our motorhome and they began to pile all their stuff on the picnic table and slam doors and this went on until after midnight. The next morning they got up early and started piling their stuff back in the car and slamming doors again. (This was a premium pull-through site and there were plenty sites for them to back in). When we made note of this to management because it made us feel a little unsafe that night - we were told, yes they came in late and left early. No further comment. Other than that episode, the campground was fine for visiting the area. Like I said they were cutting trees, had redone the restrooms and I think they are trying to upgrade. Probably wouldn't stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Typical KOA, Bathrooms and showers were clean and quite usable. Sites were very level and easy to access. Good Wi-Fi reception and cable TV. Good access to the town and surrounding area. We'll be back in the area and will stay here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here for a quick overnight stop. The park is only about a mile from the freeway access but far enough away that you do not hear traffic. Finding it was not difficult but you do wind past some industrial/commercial businesses until you find the park along a quiet country road. As stated, the entire park is level gravel with only a couple of small grass plots for relief. There are also some trees at some sites. The staff was helpful, there is large wide sites and the park is well kept. We would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
As others have noted this is a nice park on the eastern edge of Grand Junction. The sites and facilities (FHU, cable TV, Wi-Fi and a pool) are good. You will need to drive to get to anything in town. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We enjoyed this park, even though it was for only one night while in transit. It has level, clean, sites and is a friendly park, with trees. We would recommend it. There was good WiFi and Cable connections. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We had a nice level site at the end of a row, and it was very quiet - site C12. It was furthest away from the office and pool and close to a dumpster. It suited us well. Wi-fi was excellent - 5 bars, and free. Very efficient friendly staff. Only one negative was that the roads and campsite were of large gravel chips and it wasn't easy to walk. Good location for visiting Colorado National Monument and the town of Grand Junction. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a typical KOA although a bit on the small side. The sites are gravel and level. Between the sites are small grassy areas. Large shade trees throughout the park. The Wifi (free) and cable (60 channels) worked great. Electricity was fine. Water hookup was a little odd since every other site has the water hookup on the wrong side requiring two hoses to reach. However, a staff member offered us an extra hose in case we did not have two with us (we did have an extra). Close to grocery store (City Market). Right next to local fairgrounds which was having a rodeo type of event so there were horse trailers next door, not a problem and could actually be a plus if you time your visit to coincide with a popular event. Location is right on US highway 50, but road noise was minimal. All in all a nice park. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Gravel sites and roads. Rather large rock makes it difficult for dogs to walk on. Also difficult for children trying to ride a bicycle. Large spaces but only one water hook up for 2 spaces. This means that every other RV needs to run the water hose under your rig and hook up on the curb side. Bring 2 hoses to be sure to have enough hose. The first space we were put into was next to a TT with two large dogs. The dogs had been left chained up outside for an extended period and left several piles that no one had picked up. One of the breeds was a Pit/Rottwieller mix. Both breeds were supposedly not allowed in the park due to insurance regulations. Upon bringing this to the attention of the park management, nothing was done. Upon our insistence we were given another space 4 spaces away. The laundry facility was nice with new front loader machines, although they were a little pricey at $2.00 per load. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Clean, well laid out facility. Approximately 10 miles from the Interstate but not difficult to get to. Restrooms were spotless. Would definitely stay again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Grand Junction KOA is your typical KOA. There is one section of pull-throughs that have grass between them. The rest are gravel spots 100%. The laundry facilities are only open until 9:00pm as they are located in the main store. The store is very small, with only essential things there. There is one bathroom/shower facilities for the entire campground. Each male/female facility have four showers and we found them clean and overall nice with tile and spacious room to move around in. The pool was a little on the small side, but it was very clean and the rules were strictly enforced. The campground has a small playground and a fenced in gravel area that they called a bark park. The back fence is the dog walk area. The KOA is a long way from I-70 and it is located next to the fair grounds. We happened to make our reservations very early not knowing this was fair week. The campground was completely full and the fair could be heard until late into the evening. Other then fair week, it is probably fairly quite (no pun intended). Highway 50 runs in front of the campground and the noise is evident most of the time. This is a great place to stop if your in need of a hub into Arches National Park. We were able to leave the campground and tour the park in about 6 hours. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a nice campground. Some of the reviewers mentioned that it was noisy because the campground was located in an industrial park. True, there is some noise during the morning hours, but it really is not that bad. Almost the entire campground is on gravel. The center of the campground and some of the back-in sites along the perimeter have a patch of grass. The electrical pedestal is located at the back of the site. Most of the sites have 50/20 amp service – not 30 amps. The water and sewer is located towards the front of the site. The bath/shower rooms are very clean and have a combination lock to enter. There are a number of long term residents in the park. Their sites are clean and tidy. In the office there is a small book exchange along with 4 washers ($1.50) and dryers ($0.25 for 10 minutes). Internet access via a Verizon air card was good. Verizon cell phone also worked well. The park also had internet access, but we did not use it. The folks at the desk are friendly and eager to assist. I would definitely come back here again if I was in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We spent almost a week at this campground. It was an excellent location for visiting this area of CO. The sites are large & easy to access. They keep the facilities very clean both outside & inside. The laundry room was one of the best & cleanest we have seen. The staff was very friendly. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Noisy due to close proximity to industrial businesses. Noise started early in morning. Spaces were spacious. Friendly staff. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Great location for touring the area. Large sites separated by post & rail. I liked the $10 wash fee at site. Laundry room one of the best we've seen. TV reception and open for satellite, but no cable. Wi-Fi OK. A negative is the all gravel park if you are a dog owner. But it is river gravel, not the sharp gravel in most parks. Would probably stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good Sam rate. Wide open CG with little shade. Sites divided by split rail fences, each with picnic table. All gravel but mostly level & some sites with grass. Most are pull through, Big Rig friendly and wide sites to park toad or tow vehicle. Good 50 AMP, water & sewer, no cable but on-the-air TV reception very good. CG host very friendly and helpful and patrol all day picking up trash and checking for other problems. Easy access to Colorado National Monument and I-70. Laundry is reasonable and clean. Restrooms and showers clean, not much in the HQ bldg for entertainment. There is a play area for kids. CG offers free Wi-Fi but our Clear device pulled in a 6 bar 3G signal here so didn't use CG service. Lots of RVers overnight here close to I-70, Grand Junction and Fruita. If we pass this way again we will stop for a while. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice park - friendly owners. Great gravel spaces wide enough to park your car next to the rig instead of in front or back. We would most definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Large, flat pull-through sites. Easily accommodates 38ft RV. Utilities worked well. No cable TV but lots of channels on antenna. Wi-Fi slow at times. Park well-maintained. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a nice, clean park with easy access and large, level sites. The staff is great with a escort to the site. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Many reviewers have complained about the 'gravel lot' style of this campground. Quite honestly, this is a nicely laid out park with huge pull through sites. There are back-in sites along the south fence with beautiful green grass but our gravel pull through was more than ample for our needs. The sites are actually covered with washed rock, not gravel as others have stated. They are large and long with dual sewer connections to accommodate almost any configuration. There is a wonderful kids play area complete with a modern splash park. The management is very welcoming and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stayed here for 2 nights while in town to have work done on our RV. As such it worked out great for us. Everything is gravel - the roads and the sites. There is only grass in 2 areas, both of which are off-limits to pets although there is a small fenced in dog walk area. The staff was friendly, the park was neat and the hookups worked well. The Wi-Fi was a bit unpredictable, at one moment being lightning fast and the next being unavailable. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Decent space between pull throughs. Decent Wi-Fi. That's really about it. It's a gravel lot with a couple of trees. Small playground but it was OK for the kids. Overpriced, but there isn't much choice in the area. Would stay here again if only because there is not any decent alternative for a few hundred miles. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice long sites. Very clean park throughout. Friendly staff. Great empty field across the street to let the dogs run. Every thing was very clean, neat and freshly painted. Wi-Fi worked very well. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Park was very easy to find from the highway. Park managers were very helpful in finding a RV repair facility close by and other businesses we needed. Nightly rate was after AAA 10% discount. Sites are nice and level with plenty of space. Trees are small in some sites, because of replacement. Some train noise, but not bad. This was our first visit to the Grand Junction area and we would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We only stayed one night, but that was enough to convince me that I would be willing to stay there again. The staff made us feel like we were their most important customers. Everything was clean and well maintained. The park is in an industrial area, but it didn't feel that way once you were in the park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This was an okay campground for one night. It is in a very industrial part of Grand Junction and close to the freeway. Pet friendly, but not too many places to walk the dog since the neighboring businesses do not want you walking your dog on their street. Wi-Fi worked well. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Park is close to freeway, some traffic noise. Roads and sites are gravel. Some have shade, length and width OK. Water, power, and cell (AT&T) was good. We would camp here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Sites are gravel but overall pretty level. Hookups worked well but were not placed in the same general area. Wi-Fi was fair. Dog park is approx. 12X28 and all gravel. Park is about ten minutes from the Colorado National Monument which is real cool. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This place was perfect for a stopover to charge my batteries, do laundry and fill water etc after a week of dry camping. The restrooms were spotless and the laundry room was as well with plenty of washers and dryers, clean and all worked well and very reasonable. I will stop back here. Good Sam discount is reflected in the rate. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Like a previous review said, do not let the industrial area surrounding the park keep you away. Being the middle of October there were not many people in the park. We were going to stay 3 nights and ended up staying 7 so we were able to get the weekly rate. This park is clean and quiet believe it or not. Sites are gravel and level. The bathrooms are clean and only accessible to people in the park. The laundry is clean and provide many washers and dryers. We were able to pick up at least five channels using our antenna. Wi-Fi was strong. This park was very convenient while we visited the National Monument, the Grand Mesa and many of the wonderful wineries in Palisade. We most definitely would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very clean, quiet park with much attention to detail. All picnic tables were freshly painted, and grass at long term sites was freshly mowed. The staff obviously takes a lot of pride in this park, and they were very friendly and helpful. Big level, gravel, pull through sites. Good power, Verizon signal, and laundry facilities. Dog run. Good place to camp while exploring the Grand Mesa, Colorado National Monument, Bookcliffs, and the Paradise Fruit and Wine Trail. Would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Don't let this industrial area scare you away from this park. Extra wide sites (we haven't had one this wide in a long time). Plenty of room for toad, picnic table, chairs, etc. Friendly staff, very clean park, laundry room very clean & moderately priced. Long term residents in park are away from rest of the park and even those aren't that bad. Park is close to area attractions, mall, and restaurants. A small fenced in dog area too. Would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We were planning to stay for 4 nights, but had issues to deal with on the coach, so stayed for 8 nights. This park is a gravel lot with a few small trees, but we had a pull through site, with easy in and out. The staff was friendly and very helpful. There was a train, but at a distance, so it did not bother us at night. They had a lot of full timers, but they were in the back of the park and not in the transient area. Close to shopping, restaurants and Colorado National Monument. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Well maintained very clean park with helpful friendly staff. Great reasonably priced laundry. Conveniently located for Colorado National Monument and Grand Junction. Minuses are that grass and trees are the exception, it is indeed a big gravel lot for the most part. Despite location in an industrial area it is very quiet. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The campground is just your basic gravel parking lot with a sprinkling of trees, but it does have some pluses. The pull-throughs are long and extra wide. I had to check twice that the space between two fences was really just a single RV site. There is a good view of Colorado National Monument on one side and a view of the Book Cliffs on the other side. The park is also just a half mile from I-70, but far enough off the interstate and main roads that traffic noise doesn't intrude. Wi-Fi worked fine for me. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park is good for passing through the city. There are many long-term renters/area workers here. The sites are reasonably spaced with a table. There are two sewer connections - one toward the rear and one in the middle. This is a good touch. The employees were friendly. As stated previously, the park is surrounded by industrial businesses which is a big downside. The park is well kept and the bathrooms very clean. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Junction West RV Park lives up to it's tag line -"your friendly camping oasis in Western Colorado". The staff is very helpful, friendly and always have a smile. The spaces are extra-wide, among the widest we've seen, with plenty of room for slides and tow vehicle. There is strong Wi-Fi throughout the park. Antenna and satellite reception is excellent. There's a nice playground and splash pad for kids. The bathrooms are spotless and the laundry sparkling! The setting, while in an industrial area (that has grown around the park), still provides a spectacular view of the Colorado National Monument and beautiful sunsets. We have stayed here for several months and found it to be an ideal base for exploring Western Colorado and Eastern Utah. Hiking and biking opportunities abound. Most of the major points of interest - Aspen, Ouray, The Black Canyon, Grand Mesa, Glenwood Hot Springs, Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, etc. - are an easy day trip from here. And after our day away we return to a quiet, welcoming oasis at Junction West. We would most enjoyably stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Junction West RV Park is one of the nicest parks we have stayed in with great views of the nearby Colorado Natl. Monument. We have been here since March and will leave in September. The sites are among the widest we have ever seen, more than ample for a rig and extra vehicles including boats/4 wheelers, etc. The restrooms are spotlessly clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. Very level, gravel sites, with no problem even if it rains. Shopping, including groceries, easily available within 2 miles. We would stay here again! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Junction West RV Park is a nice place with the largest sites we have ever seen. The park is clean, well maintained and the owners live on site. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stayed for three months from November '10 to February '11 and there wasn't much left to desire, except better surroundings outside the park. The amenities, overall location, cleanliness, helpfulness and friendliness were all far above average. Any and all needs were addressed promptly and usually with a smile. They didn't leave much to improve upon. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
A convenient and quiet stop, close to I-70 but far enough to eliminate road noise. It's a gravel parking lot, level, with sites slightly larger than average. Clean and well kept. Many permanent sites, but they are to the rear of the park. Not a destination park, but fine of a few nights to see the Grand Junction area. We will use this park again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a beautiful campground, very close to the interstate and easy to get to. By putting the intersection in our GPS we were directed right to it. Restrooms, showers and laundry facilities were all spotless. They are very pet friendly and have an inclosed dog run. We saw a nice little playground for kids. The staff that we interacted with were so nice. Escorted us to our site. The sites are HUGE! No grass at sites, but that only helped with the cleanliness of the park. No pool or cable TV. But we did get several channels with our antenna. We would DEFINITELY stay here again. Rate is with Good Sam Discount. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Nice park to stay the night. Only drawback is the fact the park has no grass around sites - everything is gravel, which could be problems if it rains. Only major drawback of this park and it is not the fault of the park, is the fact that it is difficult to exit off the freeway and make a left turn to get on the street to the park. And in the morning, it is difficult to get back on the business road to exit the city. Stop lights needed - we had to wait almost 10 minutes both ways. Friendly staff, restrooms clean. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a well-run and excellently maintained park in an industrial district. I marked it down just a bit because the nearest market is about 5 miles in any direction. However, it is near the Interstate and the road to the Colorado National Monument, the principle tourist attraction in the area. We were guided to our site and expertly directed on back-in. Sites are adequately spaced with small lawns between some. Roads and sites are heavily graveled. Long term residents are present but are segregated and barely noticeable. We did not notice any noise from the industrial activity even with all windows open at night. There are scattered trees, but they do not provide any significant shade. We stayed here 2 nights and would return again. The rate reflects Good Sam discount and included tax. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Stayed here for 1 night. Campground is in an industrial area, but no issues. Very well maintained campground with good laundry facility. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice Good Sam park. WiFi worked perfectly and Verizon coverage was very good. Campsites are very wide and level. Most of park is gravel with only a little grass on which pets are not allowed. No highway noise put passing vehicles in park give very audible crunching noise. I would stay here again when visiting Grand Junction, CO. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Much better than expected on various ratings we saw beforehand. Has wide sites and very good WiFi. If you need service for engine various service centers are nearby. Friendly check-in. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice, clean campground and the sites are generous. It's all gravel. There is quite a bit of road noise in the morning as it is in an industrial area. It's in a great location to shop at Cabela's and Sportsman Warehouse. It's also close to the Redlands Mesa Golf Course which is outstanding. Good WiFi. Would stay here again, but wouldn't go out of our way to get here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I'd like to second the review made in April 2010. I did not give this a 9m or 10 because it's just not a very attractive RV park. The surroundings are not very pretty. A solid RV park, not a campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a very nice place to stop for a few days and relax. The sites are rock with dividers between each site and are very level. The whole park is clean and modern ran by a very nice couple who are a credit to RV park owners. Nice CLEAN showers and bath house, nice laundry. Did not have a chance to use rec room but assume it is just as nice as the rest of the park. Located in Industrial area of town but is quiet. Some permanent residents as you find in most parks now but not junky like some can be. The Wi-Fi works great but we had EVDO speed on our Verizon card. If you want a nice place to just park and recharge this is it. Only thing keeping this from being a 10 is no pool, hot tub,or cable TV. We Will park here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We spent 4 nights here. The sites are nice and big. The people in the office were very nice. We would come back here again. Good place to stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We paid the Good Same rate for full hookups. This is an all gravel campground in Colorado's high desert area which has, however, a very well maintained green grassy "park" area. There are fence rows between campsites. All sites have a magnificent view of the mountains. Everything is clean and very well maintained. Staff are courteous. Although there is no pool, there is a "fountain of fun" area for children. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This park was okay for a one night stay. There seem to be a lot of full time residents which do not bring the park down at all. Very helpful staff. Close to shopping, food, and gas. Also very close to Colorado National Monument. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Price was with Good Sam discount. It is a nice park. There are lots of trucks next door but wasn't bothersome after dark. We got kicked off WiFi occasionally, otherwise it worked fine. Bath, shower and laundry areas are big and very clean. There is a book exchange and a nice children's play area. It includes a small store with food and some supplies. Our spot was level. It was not so much gravel as small rocks and somewhat hard to walk on. The TV reception not very good. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Park sites are all gravel.Dust not a problem as there were frequent rain showers. We were assigned the last available site in "overflow". Our overflow site was nicer than some of the full hook up sites we have paid for in other parks. WiFi worked great. Office staff very friendly and helpful. Driving directions to park are a bit confusing so call ahead for help. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The park is all gravel roads and sites separated by small fences. Gravel tends to make the park dusty from internal traffic and wind. Pull throughs are long enough for 40' motor home, but toad will probably have to be detached to fit in some sites. It is located in an area of trucking depots and heavy traffic with the resulting noise. That could be bothersome to some people. Wi-Fi was free and worked good. The management and staff are very friendly and helpful. We would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The park was a little confusing to find as it is located in a light industrial area. The staff was very friendly and check-in was easy and fast. The park has quite a few monthly or permanent residents but those sites are clean and clutter free so not a problem. Sites were gravel and level. We stayed here 4 nights, mainly due to bad traveling weather but our stay was comfortable. Weeknights were noisier because of apparent working activities in the industrial park but the weekend was quiet. The managers were very nice and helpful. This was a good spot to camp so we could sight see throughout the Grand Junction area. he Wi-fi was very good. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
An easy to get to park. We were at site #35 which is a pull-through, but had to back out from the site when leaving. The site separator fence and a 5th wheel with truck in front of us made it impossible for a pull-through exit with our 40-footer. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed 3 nights while waiting to get our rig into the shop for some repairs. The first night we couldn't get a regular spot, but the park has an overflow area where we could still have electricity and water. We moved to a full hook-up site for the next two nights. The sites are very large and level with plenty of room to park a vehicle next to your rig. Everything is very well maintained and the lady in the office was nice. We didn't experience any noise problems from the nearby business parks. Our only complaint was that on our last night a very foul odor drifted over the park from a sewage treatment plant that is not too far away, but that's not exactly anything that the park has any control over! There is a lot to see and do in the area and the city of Grand Junction has a nice old downtown district worth a visit. Fall color in the Grand Mesa National Forest was fantastic! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice park to spend a couple nights. Sites are level. Be sure to tell them you have a big rig and if you are towing because if you are towing and don't want to unhook some sites won't work. Staff is friendly and everything is clean. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The rate includes Good Sam discount and taxes. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The roads and sites are gravel and wide enough to make parking a breeze. There are trees in the park, but we had no problem getting satellite off our roof. I didn't use the WiFi, but my Verizon air card worked great. The park is located in a light industrial area, but we didn't find the noise level to be a problem. It rained during our stay, but the puddles that formed drained off right away. We only stayed for 2 days, but would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Rate includes taxes. We have stayed here several times in the past. The campground continues to provide a pleasant stay. While the surrounding area is light industry, we haven’t noticed offensive noise levels. The W-iFi is a little weak; however we have been able to use it at our site. We would recommend this campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We used to love this place. Between the large sites and the owners who are wonderful people that give great customer service, we just can't go back. The surrounding industrial noise and dirt has gotten so much worse. All the noise starts before the sun comes up and goes on til late at night. And because of the desert wind there is an unbelievable amount of dirt that blows into the motor home when you open the door and windows. Between the Fedex warehouse and their beeping trucks, the tremendous number of trucks going up and down the road (there are so many nowadays that they have destroyed several parts of 22 Road) and in and out from Schlumberger right next door and other industries in the immediate area, we left early. We would rather park on a quiet street in the area than come back to the noise that woke us up every morning and the blowing dirt caused by the surrounding industrial businesses. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We enjoyed this park. The sites and roads are wide and easy to maneuver in. WiFi was good, at least close to the office. Most sites open enough for satellite. No cable. The surroundings are partly commercial and partly agricultural. Owners appear to be new and are very friendly and helpful. RV washing is allowed for $10. We will certainly stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We love this place because the parking sites are nice and long and wide. We can leave our trailer hooked up and have our vehicle parked right next to us. It's located in a very convenient area of Grand Junction, just a short distance from shopping and restaurants. The park managers are very nice and provide excellent customer service. We go back here about twice a year. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Sadly, this once peaceful country park has been surrounded by industrial yards. There is a Fed-Ex truck terminal across the street that runs 24 hours a day, and a huge oil field supply company just down the street. Many other industrial yards are adjacent and across the street. Constant truck traffic up and down the street, back-up alarms on trucks, exhaust brakes, passing trains, and new construction make this is quite possibly the noisiest park you will ever stay in. In addition the park is almost full of oilfield workers who all fire up their diesel pickups at 5:30 am to go to work. This is sad for us travelers, because otherwise it’s a nice park with wide spaces, free WiFi, clean facilities, and a friendly staff. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park's advertisement in Trailer Life states "quiet country setting on 14 acres". This is false. It is in the midst of a heavy industrial park with absolutely no views. It was very noisy. The sites are fairly close together with no privacy. About 80% of the occupants are permanents who work in the area. The best thing going for the park are the clean bathrooms. We would not stay here again. We have a 40' motorhome. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Sites are WAY, WAY too close together. Park is nice enough, but having your neighbor's wall 12 or so inches from yours is a little too tight. We'll check out another park next time. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This park is about 1 mile off I-70 and easy to access. It is a big gravel parking lot. Sites are gravel, level & easy for a big rig to get in to. Roads are gravel & wide enough. There are a few trees, but they do not cause a problem. This park is OK to spend a few days while sightseeing in the area. It is big rig friendly. There was a caravan of about 20 Prevosts there one night. We would stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very clean. Office personnel very helpful & friendly
Sites are gravel & very wide. EWS set up for easy access. Location is for sale! We camped here in a camper.

Extremely well managed park. Pet owners are in a separate section. Owners do not allow barking dogs on dogs without leashes. Very clean and easy to get into and out of. Management(Owners) are very friendly. We will stay there again. We camped here in a camper.
Nice park for our overnight stop. Super friendly manager just took over and they are upgrading the park. Some full timers, but park is kept up nicely. Level pull through spot and not overly crowded. We would feel comfortable here for a few days. It's not the fanciest place we've ever stayed, but certainly nice enough and great for the money. We are getting a brand new fifth wheel and we would absolutely stay here with it. Blazing Wifi and didn't even need a password. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

As stated this is NOT an RV park but a mobile home park with a few spots for RVs. As for RVs all the hookups work well, there are trees but they don't interfere with sat tv/phone and do provide some shade. Spaces are very generous and the owners are very accommodating to whatever your situation is. There are no kid play facilities, but our three kids play outside with no problems in the vacant lots adjacent to our bus. We have been here for two months and would return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The nicest thing about this park is all the hookups worked. Has a lot of permanent residents with older trailers etc. Owner/manager is friendly though. Doesn't have anything in the way of aesthetics going for it. Would probably not stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Limited number of gravel sites among a sea of older RV's and park models. Not a lot of pride in the neighborhood. That said, it was relatively quiet and very convenient to major shopping. We would not return though. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park is a large graveled lot with mainly older and unkempt permanent RVs. There was debris and trash around the many units. Road and railroad noise was moderate. We did not feel safe and would not return. They put the nightly rentals in the middle of the permanents. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Not what you'd call a "pretty park" but clean, close to I-70 and shopping. Men in the office were very nice and led me to my site. WiFi near the office was pretty good. Cable TV with several stations, but not the full amount. Gravel spaces that are pretty level. Hook-ups are spread out. I had trouble getting to the sewer, and a man from the office came to help. This is a nice enough place, and I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Wi-Fi, cable and utilities all worked well. Office personnel were cordial and efficient. Camp sites are wide, gravel, level. We would not stay there again however. Many of the sites are occupied by long term residents. Multiple vehicles and assorted 'stuff' cluttered many of these sites. Two sites were taken by those long shower trailers and 2 porta-johns were parked there, too. The front of our motorhome faced neglected single-wides. The RV area of the park is visually very unappealing. Besides the tolerable train and highway noise, there was the less tolerable long idling diesel pick-ups and rumbling motorcycles of the residents during nighttime and early morning. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Thanks to the prior reviewer for mentioning this campground!! It's not full of amenities and is mostly mobile homes, with a central section of RVs, both temporary and long-term. It's flat, with large spaces and no large trees (which is our first requirement so our satellites work.) This is not a "campground!" We love it, as full-timers with no kids. It's close and convenient to the mall and to the Colorado National Monument. The office people are very friendly and helpful. The price seems to be higher for us: this was a weekly rate also, but it's not out of line. We'll definitely return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The state parks were all reserved for the 4th of July, and we found this park on the west side of town. It is a mobile home park with a section for Rvs. The wi-fi is located on the roof of the restroom/shower/laundry and is very fast and reliable. The rate is a weekly rate and you get full hookups for only $4.00 more than the state park we wanted to stay at, which had no hookups. It is close to the mall and dining. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Urban mobile home park with some spaces for RVers. Management is mom and pop type. Not much for atmosphere, but is close to interstate interchange for traveling. Some noise from highway, and railroad. Dial up internet at office area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
OK park for a short stay. Price is high for having no amenities. Sites are concrete and not level side to side. Gravel between sites. You had to call a number to check in as there is no office. Was told park is 3 years old. No cable, but antenna gets a few channels. Fenced in dog area which gets muddy if it rains. We probably would not stay here again due to the high cost. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
All concrete and gravel. Concrete pads not level at all. Restrooms and showers were terrible; it looked the cleaning was done by just hosing the room out. One restroom you could not get into. Doggie waste cans need to be emptied; they smelled awful. Road noise was a problem; trucks used engine brakes all hours of the night. No office; just a number to call to check in. Would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Easy to find and get into. Concrete sites with 50 amp full hook ups. Wi-Fi was great. Owner is pleasant. She helped us out during a VA Hospital stay. No shade, but beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We camped here in a Motorhome.
First review of this fairly new park. Centrally located to Grand Junction. Spaces are large pull-through and all concrete. Decent wireless connection. Very sparse landscaping. Basically, it is a large concrete slab. However, coming from the dust and sand of Moab, this is a welcome change. The only drawback is all of the spaces are not level side-to-side. It's doable, but requires a lot of lift on one side. Overall, it is a nice, clean park. Good weekly rate of $135-$145. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is an older park, built in the 60s, so lots are not as big as the newer parks. With that said it is certainly adequate and you can see they are updating. The concrete pull-throughs are a little tight but easily maneuvered with towed. The concrete pads are very level, took 2 minutes to level RV. As I said the park is older, so the sewer hookup was a long 20 feet but has good drainage, other hookups are good. I know it's hard to make everything fit everything that's older vs newer. The Wi-Fi is FAST, however I am not here at peak summer season. Quiet, convenient to local attractions. I had clear view to sky for satellite reception, locals are good on outside antenna also, no cable. Will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
OK, let me explain the 6 rating. We selected this campground on the basis of the RVParkReviews and ratings. Really all the good reviews for cleanliness and family oriented are correct. Emphasis on family. Kids are everywhere and many very young ones on little bikes with no parents in sight. Scary to watch for. They dart in and out all over. We wanted to have a pull through with 50 amp. Well my description of a pull though is one I don't have to unhook my towed. 'Not !' So that is strike one. I could not find the 50 amp. I had to go back to office and get a grounds assistant to show me. The 50amp was not in the power pedestal. They put another post up, but wait, it was on the other side of the coach. What? Luckily my 50amp cord reached, after running under the coach. Strike two. Now the last thing is about the only thing I have found that packs you together closer would be packaged bacon. Strike three. The campground has lots of amenities but is very very crowded and filled. Many long term people. (Not the shady kind.) But some people seem to just like to come here and stay weeks. Maybe because it is centrally located to auto drive, distance attractions. I am only here one night as a sleep over. I'm just waiting to see how quiet the park is at night. I hope the guy next door does not snore and leave his window open. I might stay again, but only if I can't locate another place in my travel zone at the needed time. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Used AAA discount. Stopped here after 7 days of dry camping. Laundry room: 6 washers/dryers (plenty) $1.50 wash/50 cents dry for 20 minutes. Pool older but quite a relief from the heat. Shade is about 50/50. Oddity: Sewer hookups. We needed to pull the trailer in the 'wrong' way to have the connection on the 'right' side. Front desk said she has a hard time remembering what side is the correct side. Huge propane tank and locals stop here to fill 'er up. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
One of the nicest in the area. Grass & tree's with asphalt roads and concrete pads. Full hookups. Wi-Fi is very good and included for the first 14 days through Tengo. Managers are great, park staff very friendly. Summer pancake breakfast on weekends for a small charge and ice cream in the evening. Close to all. Very kid friendly. Not enough trash cans (they overflow on weekends). Pool finally opened on June 1. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nightly rate reflects monthly charge including electric. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The other park guests were nice and the staff was great. The park is attractive and well maintained. Our site was quiet and roomy. There were plenty of trees and grass. We will stay here again when we return to Grand Junction. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Staff is friendly and helpful. The maintenance staff does a good job of keeping the sites clean. They mow often and water once a week. Some sites are gravel and some are grass. Your RV is parked on a concrete slab. A fee is required to use the Wi-Fi (Tengo I believe). Verizon has a strong 3G signal. Verizon expects to have 4G available in December of 2012. If you have a 30 amp motorhome with an energy management system that will allow two air conditioners to be used at once and expect to use them, get a 50 amp site and use a 30 to 50 amp adapter. The 30 amp sites have older electrical wiring and have too much voltage drop for two AC's at once. Note that the park is not in Grand Junction but in Clifton which abuts Grand Junction. We camped here in a Motorhome.
W stayed here 10 days and found the parks very comfortable, however there is train noise but no traffic noise. With reference to previous comments the park is under new management. We found management and staff to be very friendly and helpful. There are a couple of rows that are better suited to smaller RV's but the rest of the park is well situated for larger RV's with slides. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I would not recommend this park. The manager is quite un-personable and not helpful with issues regarding park rules not being followed. The spaces are very close together less than a couple inches apart with slide outs extended. Poor ground maintenance with lots being watered and mowed minimally. Very noisy with lots of kids and dogs and many permanent campers here. Little to no extra parking with vehicles crowding the lanes. Electricity flow less than advertised breakers blow often. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Only stayed here as a stopping point overnight. Very nice, clean park. Staff was helpful and friendly recommending places to eat, visit. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very difficult to find, especially if you arrive in early to late evening. Check in area was blocked by miscellaneous cars parked in the designated parking making it difficult to maneuver. Staff was very helpful when we called after missing the turn, directed us back to the correct turn and gave us a free night of WI-FI. Nice blacktop, pull-through site with shade tree but pretty tight and close proximity to neighbors. It was obvious that there were many long term renters, mostly construction workers. Overall, a nice park, if you can find it, for a short term stop. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The sites are very close and tight . If you need wide roads and lots of space this is not your place. Had large 5-wheel next to us and our slide outs were very close. We may not return, but the staff was friendly and more than helpful. The reason for low rating is close space and sewer drops. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Hard to find and get to the park. No signs along the road. Friendly staff. Long Blacktop spots Good roads in the park. Some trees. No WIFI. A little expensive for my taste with no special features. They have breakfast on the weekend. We may stay here again, but I think we would check out the other parks in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very nice park, very well maintained and very friendly staff. They are "big rig friendly" though you will need to disconnect your toad for parking. Their check-in area has long parking for several rigs to park while checking in without blocking the entire driveway - something I really appreciate. Lots of shade trees and well maintained grass areas between sites made this a very nice experience for a week. We would definitely recommend this campground and will be staying there again next time we are in Grand Junction. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Park was very busy with Energy workers coming and going. Friendly Office staff but keep your receipts handy cause the system may not get updated quickly. We would stay again when in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Entering and exiting the campground itself was easy. Water pressure was excellent and electricity was good. This campground has a lot of potential, but the owner has succumbed to the temptation to populate his campground with a multitude of semi-permanent workers. Of the claimed 139 sites in this campground, I would estimate that less than 15 sites are available for short term larger RVs. This, in and of itself, is not bad except that there are either no rules, or the rules are ignored, concerning the number of vehicles that may be parked on each site. On most sites there are at least two in addition to the RV and in a large number of cases three and they are usually parked in a manner blocking the street. This makes it very difficult upon leaving to exit your site and get down the interior roads even though those roads are seemingly plenty wide. In addition, all kinds of extraneous appliances, spare tires, etc. are allowed to accumulate on sites where semi-permanent occupants are placed. I would stay here again, but the place needs some rules enforcement. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here back in '92 when it was still a KOA, and it's a little improved since then (it wasn't bad back then, either). At check-in, we were given a Good Sam discount. Our site was in the large area of side-by-side pull-throughs sharing center pedestals - we liked the long, long site since we didn't want to unhook for our one-night-stay. The sites were perfectly level. We also liked the closeness of this campground to the I-70, though it's not so close that you can hear the traffic. There's no cable TV, but you can pick up the major stations easily with antenna if you don't have a dish. For Wi-Fi you have to pay to use tengointernet (I paid $4.95 for 24 hours.) We would definitely stay here again if we needed a stopover going to and from Colorado. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Mostly level with adequate site size for large rigs. However they allow extended stay people to park any where and every where which limits your ability to maneuver around the park. The morning we left one extended stay site had three vehicles parked at their site with one blocking our exit route. The rates are expensive since they do not provide cable and WiFi is $4.00 per day. All this being said they probably are the best choice for the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Park has easy access off Business 70. Park has paved interior roads and sites with some grass and medium sized trees on sites. Satellite TV reception was possible on our site, # 61. Reasonably friendly office staff. Found that Line 2 of 50 amp circuit has only 104 volts upon our arrival. Had to wait about an hour before we could run 3 room airs. Notified office and was told this is an older park, which needs to have their electrical system upgraded. WiFi available, but at extra cost. Most parks now include WiFi with site rate, so we were surprised. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We have stayed here twice for one night stops on the way to the Rocky Mountains. The sites are easy to access and have quite a bit of space to fit tow vehicles and put out your awning. The park is laid out well and very well maintained. The campground is very clean especially the restrooms and showers. We didn't utilize the store or laundrymat. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Takes a sharp eye to find this place, even though it is immediately adjacent to the I-70 business loop, because their directions say "100 yards" when they should say "20 feet" (turn onto "F Rd" and IMMEDIATELY turn right, NO signs). When you do get there, though, you find a very nice RV park with all the usual facilities including a swimming pool that really felt great on a July evening. Staff was friendly & efficient. There is shopping nearby, plus several eating establishments if you want to go out. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very disappointed. I simply do not understand the statement this is the highest rated campground in CO by Woodalls. Either CO is in trouble or Woodall's never visited. Price is high, spaces small, charge for wi-fi, noisy, and then we receive a notice that it's too hot outside and to use only one A/C to be "kind" to our neighbors. Maybe they might want to upgrade the facility to handle this? It is obviously an old KOA. Folks are friendly enough and showers are clean. However, the small pool was occupied by at least 20 small children. Absolutely nothing against children, but we couldn't get in with all the running, screaming, and yelling. So, a quick overnight only, OK. Families, probably OK. Looking for a quiet spot, this isn't it. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great place to stay in Grand Junction. Have stayed here many times before while heading up on the grand mesa to trout fish and enjoy the mountains. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
A very nice clean park. The layout is nice, with plenty of room. Sites are clean and well layed out. Definitely a good stop over spot if travelling on I-70. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Park was very clean and the staff was very helpful. We have camped here before and had always had good luck. Park seems to be very busy the past few times we have stayed, but is still quiet at night. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Staff at park were friendly. We made reservations months in advance with another family and requested to be side by side. We were told at check in that we would not be next to each other because of full time residence and people staying a month or longer. We were disappointed in the park because of the high ratings in Woodalls & Trailer Life. Laundry room was hot and not air conditioned and found that in general park needs a little TLC. OK for lay over. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Used this place for an overnight stop. It seemed nice enough and would make a good base-camp for seeing the area. I don't think that the park was a destination in and of itself, though. I would tell anyone to stop here on their way through. Nothing spectacular, but everything you need. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Great place for an overnight stop. It was clean, Easy to find, and a place to get a good restful night of sleep. I did not have time to really explore the area but I don't think that this campground offered enough to make it a destination place. Otherwise, nothing to complain about. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
A 40 year old park that was just recently bought by new owners. They're doing a good job of updating the place. No dead grass or weeds when we were there in September. Managers are friendly and helpful. We will stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful campground. Everything is shiny and new. Lots of grass and trees. Mostly level concrete and asphalt rv pads. The only gravel in the park is in the tent area. Bathrooms and lodge are clean and very convenient. The only downside is that it's crowded and the smaller rig sites are right next to each other. The hookup side of my trailer was about two and a half feet from the hookup side of my neighbor's trailer. There is also a bit of highway noise, but it's not overbearing. We camped here in a camper.
