Pretty good forest service cg, close to Nederland. But could not find a single level site, and as previously said, this place is best for tents and vans. No cell reception. Hosts never made contact with anyone and raced around in a truck. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a gorgeous setting (right in the middle of National Forest at 8,600 feet). Sites are dirt and vary a bit in size and levelness. There's a handfull of spaces for big-rigs (we have a 40' Class A), but I'd say the majority of the sites are better suited to tenters and smaller rigs. Fire-pit, grill and bench at each site. Pretty forest views and good space between campers. Half the sites are reservable, the others are first-come-first-serve. Potable water, but NO dumpstation here. No hookups. Pit toilets only. Overall a a primitive campground in a lovely and very relaxing forest setting. We'd definitely go back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A typical National Forest campground. Has no hookups and limited sites for big rigs. There are 18 walk-up sites and the rest are reservation at Recreation.gov. Has nice camp hosts and the park is nice. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
