If you’re looking for the gang, this RV park is for you. You won’t have to look far because the next trailer will be within a few inches of your front door. No lie, I measured from the edge of my awning to the sewer drain of the next pad and it was 30 inches. I didn’t drive to the mountains just to pack like a sardine into a park space so tight that I could pass the soap to the person in the next RV. The front desk folks were nice enough and check in was painless. They gave me no instructions as to where the dumpster was located or how to get down to the only attraction (the river), but they did tell me to keep it quiet after 10 p.m. and to check out the live band (that went well beyond 10 p.m.!) at the lounge. This place is for sale (no surprise there) and I’m not sure what they’ll do with the hordes of permanent residents. If the new owner is smart he’ll class up the place by moving all of the skirted heaps off the property and doubling the size of the spaces. Great location, trashy park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A really nice CG on the Cache la Poudre river. Most campsites are just a few steps away from the river. Many sites are well separated from the others. All the back-in sites are large, most are fine for 40' rigs. All sites are level and have nice tent pads. There are several tent only sites, some right next to the river. The few pull thru sites are for 25' or smaller rigs. All the NF campgrounds along this 15 mile stretch of Cache la Poudre river have nice level gravel campsites. Kelly Flats CG does not take reservations. Really nice for those of us who can arrive on a Wednesday and plan on staying through the weekend, but don't know the area and which campsites are nice. In the peak summer period, these CG's fill up on weekends. So, if you know exactly which campground and which campsite you want to stay in, you can make reservations in four other CG's along the river. Note: This is a NF CG, no water, elect or sewer hookups. Just a nice pretty place to spend a few days. We camped here in a Motorhome.
