Campground is at 9,700' and twelve miles up a somewhat rough gravel road. It is located in a mixed spruce/fir forest with mostly shaded sites. Great trout fishing at three lakes in the area (Bear Lake is 100 yds. from the campground) as well as numerous hiking trails, including the infamous Devil's Causeway. Sites are wide and level; campground was refurbished in 2002. Water is from a mountain spring and was great. Vault toilets are new and clean. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
