This is an update to our posting of last year. Since that time, Foxwoods has made changes to their RV parking area. Firsy, it is smaller now that the gas station and convenience stores have been built. These are actually a plus - since we could walk over and get coffee in the morning and gas up without leaving the grounds. That is the only good thing. The worst part is that they now allow buses in the RV area. This means that you are surrounded by buses running continuously with fumes and noise all day and night. It finally gets quiet at 6 am. We stayed for 2 nights like that and couldn't wait to get out of there. I tried to complain to their transportation department but my call got put thru to voicemail and of course, no one ever called me back. Foxwoods has been our preferred casino spot for over 17 years. But no more. I will not go back. Foxwoods is a joke in that area. What a disappoint with Foxwoods! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Foxwoods is a great destination spot for an overnight or weekend of dry docking. The resort accommodates RVs of all sizes in a designated parking area, within walking distance of the casinos, although shuttles run 24/7. You will need to check in with security, as most casinos require. Although there is nothing particularly outstanding about their parking area, it is free, the security is good and the casinos offer a lot to do. We've been coming to Foxwoods for over 15 years, always staying at hotels, prior to getting our TT. It is so much nicer not having to rush to get out of the room in the morning; we can sleep in as long as we like now! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
