This is a very nice campground with a boat ramp and docks directly on the St. Johns river. It is off the noisy roads. They offer a boat slip at a discounted rate if you are camping. They also have pontoon boats for rent. Combination of shade and sun sites. All sites are grass, but they are level. They are in the process of installing permanent grills and fire rings at the sites. Very friendly staff. Definitely will camp there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice rural fish camp next to the river. We had a wonderful time. Easy to set up rig. Great place for the dog with plenty of walking room and lots to see. Bring your fishing pole as there is a floating dock for the advid fishing person. The full timers were in the back of the park and were quiet. Great local restaurants to eat at nearby. Nice clean pool with a playground for the kids. Close to Daytona. Boat rentals are available. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is an old fish camp that is being upgraded by the new owners. They have done lots of work and they have plans for many more improvements. The RV sites and the new dock are excellent. The staff is very helpful and friendly. This is a great way to see the natural florida while being close to the attractions. We camped here in a camper.

This is a really great campground. It is extra clean. The bathrooms are superior. The management is very friendly and you could not ask for anyone to be easier to get along with. Too bad the place is for sale. But do try to enjoy it while it's still there. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Great Family campground. Very nice and friendly people. Looking forward to going again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is an older park in a rustic Florida setting. It was exactly what we were looking for. The staff, as well as the other campers, were friendly and helpful. It had a charming old world atmosphere in a world where that is hard to find. There is room for improvement on the roads, but the month we spent there showed us that they are working on improvements all the time. You can't beat open friendliness, and that is what we found. We even got a loaf of home made bread on our motorhome steps one night. If you are looking for a charming place to visit. This is the
one. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I stay in many parks in my travels through the US and found this one to be one of the most pleasant. The atmosphere is tranquil, and the hospitality is of the old world kind. People that work and stay in this park go out of their way to help you. I only met one of the owners while I was there, but she was very helpful and informative on the general area, and found me a portable heater when the heat went out in my motorhome. I will without a doubt visit here again. We camped here in a camper.

This park is one of nicest natural parks in Florida. It is situated on the St. Johns River which is beautiful. The campground is peaceful. The owners go out of their way for everyone whether you need to borrow a vehicle, get a ride into town or have your boat fixed. The employees are very friendly. There is a great gift shop and cabins if your family needs a place to stay. We have camped here for years and the place has always been clean and in good repair. The owners that bought it in 86 have continuely upgraded the facilities ever year. I'm a happy camper. We camped here in a camper.

This campground is a definte avoid . Dangerous, dark and poorly laid out. Managment and owners are extremely rude, obnoxious, bitchy and about the most unfriendly , unhelpful resort staff in Florida. You would be better served camping at Wal Mart. We camped here in a camper.
Not having a prior review, I was a little apprehensive as we have relied on reviews for our travel. However, my concern was unfounded. If you want a resort, this campground is not for you. St. John's has paved roads but sites are on grass/leaves/sand-dirt(depending on season), like camping in the mountains. Approximately 15 of the 60 sites have permanent residents but seemed to be in an isolated area. Cabins are available for those who do not have/want RV but travel with you. We stayed here during the month of February to use as a base for traveling in area which allowed us to avoid the astronomical fees charged by Daytona-area RV parks for speed week, 30 ml away. This campground is used by race fans, bike week fans and boaters (near St. John's river and many area lakes). The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. One noticeable problem was a washer with a 'out of order sign' for the entire month and another became unusable so servicing these due to the high usage should become a priority. A higher rating would be given if wWi-Fi service were available; we were told with a nearby bombing range, service is spotty or not possible. For internet service, however, the local library, 2 ml away, can be used for secure service. We would return to this park when in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
