This is an old park with narrow roads and narrow spaces. They advertise "Big Rig Access", but there were SEVERAL roads that I simply would not fit on, and did not see a site where I would be able to open 4 slidouts up without cramping my neighbors. They also advertise 50 amp, but that is only for long term campers. The day we arrived, I wanted just a weekend site, and the person behind the counter (after talking at length to 2 of the residents and then carrying on a 10 minute phone conversation) made me feel as if she were doing us a favor by giving us a 50 amp site. "They are only for long term guests" she stated. I remarked that that was not mentioned in any writeups, and she said it was . I suppose "30/50 amp hookups" means if you don't want to stay less than a month, you get 30. Not so in any other CG we've been in. After that, it got worse - this place is only looking for snowbirds and full time residents, and their attitude more than shows it. After this initial hostility from the employee behind the desk, I was not happy, but was still willing to stay anyway. She asked if we'd been there before, and when I told her not, she sighed and said "Well, we are going to have to get ALL this information on you before you do"...I looked at the sheet, and in doing so, laid the Happy Camper membership card down on the desk that I had in my hand. I was immediately informed that because I had no advance reservation, they would not accept the card. I mentioned that was not in any info on the place, and was given the "it says here that we reserve the right to change policies at any time " speech. Curious, they had a big rally there, and were giving away sites for $10 a night, I could not see what harm one more would have been. I was told it didn't matter anyway, that the season was from May 1 to Aug 30. I told her all info , including their website was 31 Oct, and that the Happy Camper book (current) made no mention of a season at all. She again told me that had changed. I was also informed that the previous owner had agreed to a "partial" membership in HC (I called Happy Camper, and they didn't know what a "partial" membership was). They also restrict tents to the summer months only (they don't want tenters upsetting their winter clientele), so whether or not you're allowed will depend on whoever is behind the counter. I finally had enough and walked out and went elsewhere. This is the worst treatment I have ever recieved in a CG, and we've been RVing for 30 years. This place is interested in only long term commitments, and they make it obvious. From what I witnessed, I would not bring children there either - this appears to be a 55+ park only. Also, they have a restaurant at the entrance that's open to the public, (parking to check in in an RV there was almost impossible) which they advertise heavily. Seems to be a much greater concern that the general public know that they can eat there and that they have beer (their ad has BEER in caps and bold print) than the quality of their campground office staff. Being out wher they are, I question what happens there on Fri and Sat nights as well. I would never go back to that place again, and not recomend it to anyone. They are not as advertised We camped here in a Motorhome.
