This is a great well kept secret. Beautiful RV Park that has been updated recently. We came in on a Tuesday and were the only ones here. A rally came in on Thursday and left by Sunday. We were only going to stay two nights but have been here a week now. Very quiet. If you have a jeep or an ATV this is the place for you. There are miles of trails directly across the road in the Ocala National forest that are designated for ATV's, Jeeps, and Motorcycles. The Florida State Trail is about 4 miles down the road and my husband ran it in both directions (about 14 miles each way). The more people know about this place the better it will be. They have a beautiful clubhouse and pool (not heated). Hopefully the heat will come in the future. Docks are also in the making on the lake (new owner had to apply with the core). The staff is friendly and helpful. We camped here in our 40' diesel pusher and had no problem getting here. Stick to the directions on the web site and don't try to take the FR 74/77. Sandy dirt, great for jeep'n but not for the motorhome. We will definitely be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We camped for a week on the advice of friends and they were correct that it is an off the beaten path park. The sites are well spaced and the physical park is attractive and clean. This winter was very cold so the park was almost deserted and we had no neighbors. We were able to walk through the woods but we did not use the swimming pool. Some of the sites are level and some are on a slope. There is no shade to speak of for hot weather campers. The staff was friendly in the office. The laundry room, showers and bathrooms need a good cleaning. I watched the cleaning lady push a broom around the floors and call it good. I cleaned the laundry room myself before I used it. Our dogs loved the park as it was so quiet. The nearest gas and groceries are about 35 miles away and this park is almost in the Ocala National Forest. To get anywhere from here you need a GPS unit as you'll be driving on forest service roads of packed sand so it will be easy to get lost. We camped here in a Motorhome.
