This campground is closing effective Feb 1, 2006 We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The reason for the 5 rating is, We stayed there in 99 and everything there was in great condition then. The pool, baths, road's, even the owner's were nice. But when we went back in 04, the place had gone down big time. I'm not sure whether there were different owner's or what. The chances of us returning are slim if something's not done to revive the place. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Interior roads were pot holes. Grass unkept. Bathrooms were flooded with backed up water, especially the handicapped bathrooms. The main bathrooms were not cleaned and had not been cleaned for 3 days. The washer and dryers were not serviced. Only 1 of 4 washers was working. The dryers were dirty. The pool area was littered with beer bottles and was not cleaned during our 7 night stay. The on site management did not seem to care about the disrepair of the campground. The park has deteriorated in the 15 years that we have camped there. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We love this location - right across the street from the Gulf between St Pete and Clearwater. Our only disappointment was no cable - but hey, we were at the beach. Cable is available through the local provider if staying for more than a month. Rates are higher for holidays and they offer nightly, weekly and monthly. Real nice bath house with large shower stalls (2 in each male and female) they also have a handicap bathroom with a separate shower. The roads through the park are sand and need some regrading (pot holes). Lots were sized well. They have one entrance right off Gulf Blvd that might be diffcult to swing a large rig in to, of so, there is a side street with a back entrace that look more sizable. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
