A mostly nice full-amenity RV park, convenient to Jacksonville. WiFi signal very strong, no significant problems. A few nits: 1) Traffic noise from the highway is bad at the entrance to the park--we were maybe 50 feet from the office. Further back in the park seems to be much quieter. 2) Laundry prices are fairly ridiculous at $1.75 per (very small) washer load, and $2.00 for a dryer cycle. 3) The showers were dark and somewhat cold. We will stay here again, hopefully further back in the park where it's quieter next time. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We have stayed here some years ago. Still a nice friendly park. Grandson came to visit with his children and park did not charge a visitor fee since no facilities were being used except children's park area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice resort. A year around destination park for some -- all of their RVs and sites were very nice and clean. Don't let Google Earth fool you. 95% trees on the south side of the lake have been removed, therefore satellite friendly. Nice lakeside sites (as well as non-lakeside). Swimming beaches on certified alligator free lake. Fishing allowed without license. South lakeside sites are design with dual hookups for back-in (trailers) or front-in (RVs). Paved roads and pads, except those on the south side which are expected to be paved soon. Second and third rows from the lake on south side are pull-thru. Two beautiful fountains in the clean lake, which are lighted in the evening. We would come back here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Camped in a 45' Prevost. The campground was about at 50% capacity. If it had been much fuller we would have had a tough time getting in and out. We were in the older section and I was told the newer section has more room. The campground was clean and well run. There is a nice little restaurant on the grounds. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would go back again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The employees are very nice and the park does have easy access to I-295. However, we were only there for one night and, in my opinion, the park is overpriced. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Great Park that is in a great location for overnight. Easy in and out. Large paved sites that were big enough for us not to have to unhook the truck pulling a 34 ft travel trailer. We will stay here again on our way to Disney. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Excellent RV Park! Easy access to interstate. Very long pull-through sites that are LEVEL! Nice facilities, including a beach and snack bar. Only problem - their Wifi is terrible! After paying $6 for one day's access, I had a strong signal and good association with their hot spot, but could not access most internet sites through their server. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We had an enjoyable stay here in our motorhome. They were most helpful in every respect. I would return in a heart-beat. The view of the lake from our rig was very relaxing and pleasant. They are close to the Wal-Mart for easy shopping and right off of the freeway for easy access going either east or west. It is also close to Dick Gore's RV Service and they did a great job for me. This has to be one of the best RV Resorts we have stayed in from Oregon to Florida, from September to November. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We just stopped here for one night. As we are a 45' motorhome towing a trailer, we are very careful to make sure ahead of time we will fit. At Flamingo Lake the site they gave us had plenty of width and length. Easy in and out. We were not in the front row but could still see the lake and fountains. Pretty much right next to I 295. Staff was friendly. The WIFI is costly: they use Linkspot, and you pay by the hour, day, or week. We did not use it because I hate to pay for WIFI for one night. My only other comment is that they have a rule stating that dogs may not use their owner's campsite for doing their business. The campground has 2 dog walking areas, both of which were quite far from our site. Am not sure how I would convince my dogs that they had to wait until I got to the designated area. Of course we always pick up immediately after them. Would probably stop here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

$43.00 charge was for the extra people camping with us. Overall the park was very clean and well maintained. Not many children there at that time of year for my son to play with. Very quiet park, except for interstate noise at night. Has security. Thirty -forty minute drive to the beaches. We visited the state parks like Fort Clinch, Kingsley plantation, Little Talbot. Highly recommend these excursions-cost very little money. Also, just 30-40 minute drive to Amelia Island, enjoyed that day trip also. Will definitely go back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The staff was very helpful, and campground was nice, but it is advertised as being one of the nicest in the south. It was not a resort atmosphere, but it was clean and adequate. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A well manicured, beautiful park that has great facilities. It also has campers on top of each other and kids running all over the place with electric scooters, etc. A very nice place if you don't mind kids and crowds. Sterile and lacking in character in my personal opinion though. Just not my cup-a-tea. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We thought the park was extremely clean and the management very friendly. We came with our parents who also had a 38' motorcoach. We had an escort to our site, which was a pull thru. There were plenty of those and no trees overhead, but one section of the park had very large powerlines right next to the gravel pull thru sites. Not very attractive, but we were told that the best pull thru sites were all taken and these were the only ones available. We still had a nice lake view in the front. There really was no noise in the park at all and it was full when we went. The lake was beautiful and the pool and laundry area very clean. (We did not use the restrooms). Jacksonville Zoo only 6 miles away, and very impressive. I would not hesitate to stay here again!! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice campground with friendly staff. The better sites are on the northwest side of the lake. On the other side power lines and I-295 are a bit of a problem. Clean, well maintained. Would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a fairly pleasant place to stay although I'm not sure it's entirely worthy of all the accolades it has received. We stayed in the front. The rear portion where the lake is appears a little newer and a little nicer than the front. It's convenient to I-295 with easy on/off. Perhaps a little too convenient as the front gets some of the noise from the interstate traffic. We didn't find it particularly disturbing, but I could see how some might. Plane traffic also will periodically remind you that the airport is nearby. The roads are paved although they are somewhat windy and narrow in spots and maneuvering requires a little caution. Sites are also paved but up front they are a little tired with cracked, rippled, pock-mocked sections and, in a few spots, there are holes left by leveling jacks going right through the pavement. Some sites are also a little tight to get in and out of, especially with our crew cab/long bed truck and 38' 5th wheel. Facilities seem clean and well kept if not a little tired and dated. Staff are friendly and helpful. As I said, it's a fairly pleasant place to stay and we would probably go back. As for the ratings of "10", I suspect these reviewers have never had the opportunity to stay at a resort that really rates a 10! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice place to stay. Roads and sites are blacktop, level, cement patio, no dust on northside of park. Lot of sites are on the 17 acre lake, lake has three springs to supply water. Some sites are a little close together. Low road noise (I-295) if sites are on northside of lake. Sites on southside are gravel and roads are dirt, also very close to I-295. Roads and site will have a upgrade very soon to blacktop. Gate is locked at 11:00 pm each night. You have a golf driving range into lake, two white sandy beachs, nature walk, fishing in lake, swimming in lake or pool, horseshoes, basket ball, shaded picinc tables on lake. Wal-Mart, Home Depot, and shopping center very close by. Park also has Oasis Restaurant on lake. No more Passport rates. Park was full of happy RV people. I would have said park was a 10 but sites on southside need some work yet. Very nice place! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We had an excellent experience here. We had an escort to our site. The entire place was paved. Bath house was clean. We didn't hear lot of noise. The place was almost completely full while we were there. Definitely would use again. Close to everything! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park paved sites was a Passport America but does not honor now.The staff was nice and helpful park was clean the only thing I saw was the pool was really small and some sites are sort of small and close together. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this campground for a one nighter on the way to Orlando. We were very pleasantly supprised. It was so nice and quite that we wanted to spend more time here. The lake, beach were very nice and clean. I also found the staff to be pleasant and quick to get us checked in. The kids also loved the playground. I don't see how anyone could give this campground/resort a bad rating. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Great campground really beautiful place.We were there during Labor Day weekend they had a great dinner beside the lake 10.00 for a family of 4. All sites have concrete patios some right against the lake they were beautiful sites. They have a wonderful place to hook up to the internet pretty sure there was 2 booths set up for this. The laundry room was really nice and clean. Plenty of room to walk around the lake really enjoyed our stay at this campground. Wal Mart supercenter was just right down the road for anything you might need. Yes we will return to this campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an excellent park; I really don't understand bad reviews unless something drastic happen to them. The Park is very clean, inside and outside, security gate just installed and now activated. A lot of full-timers here, but you have to stay a few days to know who they are. Management doesn't allow any site to look bad. We stay here often to visit 4 grandchildren; the Park does charge $3 for guest over 5 yrs to use pool, lake, etc., which I have no problem with the policy. Stays during week at Passport rate. The staff is not the friendliest I've seen, but not rude. Stayed at Holloween last year and everyone had decorations; stayed during GA-FL football game last year, everyone had great time, but not loud. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a terrible RV park. The staff is unfriendly. The park does not accept mail. You have to pay a hotel tax plus sales tax and the nightly fee, which comes to over $35 per night. The pool was closed and it didn't appear to be a heated pool. My neighbor was very noisy and when I complained to the management nothing was done about it. They told me I could leave the park if I didn't like my neighbors. There were no security gates at the back or front of the park. There was no park security officer. The park was dark at night-not enough lights. I did not feel safe. The lake had a lot of trash in it. Restrooms were dirty. Campsites are very close to each other. There were no cabins to rent. Traffic was going fast thru the park disobeying the 5 mph speed limit. There was a rule of no dogs over 30 pounds allowed, and I saw many dogs over 30 pounds in the park. The cost per night was too much. There was not enough electric power in the park. The curcuit breakers in my camper kept kicking off. Go to a camp in St Augustine or Hanna Park in Jacksonville. Theres nothing to do there-no activites. The WalMart close to the camp is pathetic too. Don't waste your money at this park. Keep on moving. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is one of the cleanest and friendliest park we have ever camped in! I can not believe that anyone would post anything negative about this park! I understand that some RVer's can never be pleased having worked in a park before. The bathrooms are extremely clean, very friendly staff, big sites for big rigs (all paved w/patio & 30/50 amp). We've been camping here for years and enjoy it very much. I think they deserve a higher Woodall's rating! We camped here in a camper.

We were scheduled to stay at a Member Owned CG in St.Augustine. When we arrived we were told they would not allow C2C's because of a holiday comming up. June 27 - 30 Where is the holiday. We called Flamingo Lake Resort. They had a place for us. They were very friendly and helpful. (our generator went out in Chipley) This is a very plesant place to stay, well maintained sites and very clean. I will rate Flamingo Lake Resort higher than the C2C that turned us away, because it was a much better park. it was from what I saw #1 Cleaner #2 More shaded lots #3 Better roads #4 Better parking sites #5 The staff was alot more friendly #6 A more pleasant atmosphere. Good place to stay. We camped here in a camper.

I have lived in this park for more than a year (this is what we call our home base) when we leave for a trip it is like homecoming when we return. All the folks, overnighters and casual campers look out for each other. The staff is very nice and friendly, with good, no, excellent security. The comments on this site regarding the young child is way off base, and I was here at the time and it was not at all like stated. The campgrounds only problem was trying to keep everyone happy. And with todays society, I can really understand the other party's apprehension. We camped here in a camper.

Very nice beach, easy lake access. The dogs had a blast!! Staff was friendly, sites were large. Easy drive also to area attractions, and camp hosts were great with giving directions! We had a coupon from a local paper that saved us some money during our four night stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice park. A very nice white beach is just a short walk (ten minutes or less) with swimming, fishing and sun bathing. Bike friendly with trails and and paved roads to investigate. Our site was large could have parked 3 extra cars if needed. Most all of the sites were tree covered. No WiFi and unable to use Satellite TV but this is a great place. We will return. We stayed at Hanna Park during the week when mostly long-term seasonal campers were our neighbors. The park and campground are very beautiful and the campsites are fairly private, although close together. Most sites are pull-through. They are dirt/sand sites with a picnic table and fire ring. We loved the natural setting, but the dirt was a bit of a mess when it rained. The beach area is gorgeous with a very gentle slope toward the water. The lake is pretty, and there are a few sites on it, but the side with the playground is on the opposite side from the campground. The beach and lake playground are at least 1/4 mile away, and since my husband took our only vehicle to work every day, it took a little planning to get there and back. Bicycles would have made this easier. The sites closest to the campground entrance are closest to the beach and lake playground. Our children were made to feel welcome, as was our dog. Disposal bag dispensers for pet wastes were located throughout the park. Our dog was allowed on the beach. The camp store prices were reasonable but it is a small store with limited item selection. Their hours were limited and somewhat sporadic during our stay. We were still grateful it was open at all, since it saved us a trip out several times. Bike rentals were $5 an hour. The office personnel were efficient and friendly except for one occasion when I had to call and request the new bathhouse code. They made a point of insisting that they had informed us about the change, when in fact they had not. No big deal, but the lady came across as being defensive when I was not being accusatory. Like I said, no big deal. The host campers were very friendly and helpful, especially to our kids. One host couple gave our daughter a big bag of peanut brittle, just made by some of the ladies in the kitchen of the little activities building on site. The only reason I did not give Hanna a 10 rating is the age of the facilities. The bathhouses are obviously old, but for our family that really wasn't a problem since everything worked. They were kept reasonably clean, and any dirt involved was just that -- dirt and sand tracked in on the floors. During our stay they were cleaned and restocked daily. We had one complaint, though. It was getting down in the 40s at night, but the bathhouses weren't heated. That made for a chilly early-morning shower for my husband, who was working during this trip. We used the laundry facility once and although they could probably use a few more washers and dryers, we had no problem getting our laundry done. All things considered we were very pleased with Hanna Park and would definitely go back, especially during the off-season when it isn't crowded. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Hanna Park would be considered out home park. It is just a 10 minute drive from our house. We had a great weekend. The restrooms could use a little work but our overall experience was good. We have already planned to return on Feb. 8th. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

This is a beautiful park with heavily wooded sites, bike and hiking trails and a beach within walking distance. Most of the sites are easy to access. We bring our truck camper here because the large number of tress make navigating a large RV difficult. That said, I see larger motorhomes and fifth wheels there. We have camped here 4 times in the last 2 years and have enjoyed it every time. I have noticed some rowdy tent campers on weekends, but for the most part the camp is quiet. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

We have been campers at Hanna for almost 20 years and the old gal is beginning to show her age. The staff was very young and must be city employee's who cared very little to the paying customers. We arrived on Wed and the dumpsters were full and the camp ground empty. By Sat the campground was full and so still were the dumpsters. Staff was more concerned with over sized children in the playground than open beverage violations in plan view. If this park was anyplace but along the beach it would be out of business in no time. Since we love the beach and it's close we will send e-mail to the city managers and return again next year. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice park. We camped here for 4 days and enjoyed every bit of it. Easy access to the beach. There is a lot of sand at the sites, and some of then take a little bit extra to get level. This was a return visit for us and we would come pack again. The campground hosts are friendly and helpful if you need help. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Camped there the last week of April 2007. The site we reserved and used was large and level. We did notice several stray cats but they were not a bother. Would highly recommend staying there and will stay there again in the future. A lot of trees, vegetation and over head canopy, made the camp sites cool even on sunny 80 degree days. We camped here after camping in an expensive RV park in the Keys, and this was just as nice, if not nicer. The site was very large, plenty of space to park our pick-up truck, open our slide, and enjoy the picnic table. We found the park very clean, friendly, good laundry facilities, and quiet. The beach was huge and almost empty, and we took our dogs on leashes, and had a wonderful time. Overall, we would rate this campground a 9.5 out of 10, the only thing it needed was a better camp store, We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This 450 acre park is owned and operated by the city of Jacksonville and is absolutely beautiful. Our site was a ways from our neighbors and very wooded. There are 14 miles of trails (biking and hiking) and we spent lots of time hiking and walking on the beach (4 miles of pristine beach). The staff was very friendly and even had a $2.00 pancake breakfast on Monday morning and always had free coffee and newspapers. They go the extra mile. Our site was a little uneven, but not a problem. There was no cable TV, but we don’t watch it much anyway. No WiFi. The one slight negative we had was the Naval aircraft carrier base about 5 miles away always had up a helicopter or two (I guess looking for terrorists.) and even at about 2,000 feet up they made some noise. Nothing that was a bother though. Showers and bathrooms were modern and clean. They have many located through out the park. We will definitely make a return trip. I recommend approaching the park from A1A South or North to avoid the big traffic through Jacksonville. From the North you can take a neat ferry ride for $3.00 across the intercostals waterway. There is a great fish house called Safe Harbor Fish company that buys all the local commercial catch and also has a small restaurant on the side. Very good and fairly cheap. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a gem. If fishing is Your Game than this is the place. I gave it a 8 only because the roads in the park are very narrow and hard to negotiate with a large rig. Sites are spacious and private. The Host that we talked to was gracious and kind. There are many stores two miles or less from the park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park is very nice, clean, and staff was helpful. Other reviews said there was a lot of stray cats. We did not have a problem with cats, it was Racoons! I do think they need to do something to control the amount of racoons because they are so tame, they just walk right up to you. We had to make sure everything was put up even if we just walked to the restroom. The lake was great, you can rent paddle boats, lots of playgrounds for the kids. There is hiking trails and biking trails. The access to the beach is biking distance from the campground, we found lots of shells. We will definitely visit Hannah Park again. We camped here in a Tent.

We camped here this June and last year in September. Great sites, very dog friendly, dogs are allowed on the beach and the campground has poop bags in containers at each rest room and at the beach to use. Very handy. It is a walk to the beach so we drove across the road, lots of parking. Site 293 is the best in the park but also site 46 and on that row is very roomy with trees for privacy. We had 290, not that great and 152 not that great either. Good seafood restaurant and seafood market in Mayport. They have cleaned the park up since September. There were lots of cats, raccoons and armadillos all over but this year we didn't see any. No alcohol allowed in the park or beaches but we did see evidence of it. We like this park a lot. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We had heard wonderful things about this campground, and it certainly could be just that wonderful, but it isn't. The park is beautiful; the ocean is wonderful; the sites are nicely situated. But, the mosquitoes, in January no less, rival those we remember from Wisconsin! Worse than the mosquitoes are the feral cats. There are at least 10 that we saw, and they hang around outside your rig every night and whine to be fed and let in. We're told that some of them have been neutered, but there are far too many, leading me to believe that some are reproducing. We tow a white convertible and every morning we'd wake up to dirty paw prints all over the car, the windshield, and the roof. This is an active adult park in the winter, with an active seasonal community and I can understand why some folks return year after year to spend time with friends. But as a campground for those who are travelling, this one is nothing special. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The campground itself was great. The only downfall was our site was right by the tents. The noise/party level went well on until after midnight and because our children were with us, we felt a little uncomfortable. Drive through security would have been great. The security man at the park gate was very nice and helpful and when we told him about the problem he apologized and told us to let him know if we had anymore problems. We will definitely go again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Great city park! We camped next to the lake. The rules say stays are limited to 14 days but we noticed a sign saying at the discretion of park management you might be allowed to stay longer during winter months. It was obvious many people had been there since the Christmas holidays. The staff was friendly and we saw three sites marked for campground "hosts". Coffee hour, activities and free dial up service for internet connection is available at the recreation hall. Nice clean laundry area. Beach access is across the road from the camping area (not within walking distance) you need to bike or drive. Lots of good hiking and biking trails. Many pets and children but quite hours were observed. Big trees and lots of shade - do not expect your satellite TV to work. Camp store had assortment of necessities along with ice cream and small restaurant. Entrance to park and some turns in campground are very narrow. Go slowly and carefully and most big rigs will be fine (would not recommend for big bus conversions). We would definately go back again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We really enjoyed our week here and agree with most everything others have said. Would consider this a family type campground except for a couple of park hosts who growled at our boys for minor things. Mostly the camp hosts were friendly and helpful. They have a few planned activities (mainly for adults). Loved the Tuesday morning pancake breakfast. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

First time here, we loved this park. Beach is about 1/2 mile away, but within the park itself. We road all the off road biking trails as well as paved road all over the place. We had an end site that was near the lake, and you can launch your canoe/kayak from many places in the park. You can rent peddle boats there also. Kids have a play area. Has a little grocery store and an ice cream shop right at the campground. Our little doggie loved the beach as dogs ARE allowed on the beach. We had a great time. Will go back. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful park lots of trees small walk to ocean Resturant & Store on site.Plenty of walking trails and also biking trails .Lake on site you can rent canoes & paddle boats they have childrens playgrounds and a waterpark.Really nice for 16 bucks.The only thing its a little tight in places so be careful when entering are exiting the campground. Heavily wooded near ocean and lake, Hanna Park is a perfect place for the camper who enjoys more than watching TV. The walking and bike trails are very good and the beach is a 15 minute stroll through the park (or a 3 minute drive). We come here as often as we can for weekend getaways. We stayed at the park for a few days in January. We, 2 kids & 2 adults, liked the park so well we came back (from Ohio) during spring break and stayed 10 nights. Every site we saw was shaded. The campground is inside a city park that requires day users to pay a fee (campers pass thru for free) and then there is another gate to go thru to get into the campground. We saw lots of kids but didn't hear lots of noise. Many trails for bikes and bikers of all ability. Several playgrounds for the kids. We will be back. We recommend this campground to everyone. As a plus, THEY DO TAKE RESERVATIONS. Nice place and nicer staff. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

One of my favorite campgrounds. Good size lake for swimming, fishing, canoeing, etc. Beautiful beach on ocean across the park's road. Most sites are large and shady. Staff friendly and accommodating. Have quite a few 'Hosts' who are very willing to be helpful as well. Lot's of activities to keep both children and adults happy. Only negative is they could use more bath houses especially if you have children and no toilet/shower facilities (would have given them a '10' otherwise). We camped here in a camper.

This is a nice city campground within a short walk of the beach. Also has a small waterpark that the kids will love. Alot of bike trails and hiking trails. Just a down home family oriented campground in the Jacksonville area. We camped here in a camper.

City park. Really nice natural setting. Pull thru but lots of trees. Couldn't find clearing for sat. dish. Sites handled 40' 5th however access roads were VERY difficult. Turns too tight with adjacent trees making it impossible to "straighten" out the turns much. Low hanging branches and branches close to roads will brush your RV. Ocean beach not really accessible to campground for those with walking difficulties. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stopped here with no reservations. It was a great park for us at the end of 4 days of rain. We enjoyed the level paved sites. There was a good amount of noise from the highway and airport. Nothing that would deter us from staying here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We really loved this resort. We always use restrooms, showers, and laundries at resorts and found theirs to be less clean than expected. We wanted to spend the winter there but left after two months, We stayed there November 15, 2007 - January 15, 2008. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Park has nice paved roads with large cement pads and a nice grassy area between sites. The grass and fences are not maintained very well (lots of fire ants)and the park is located next to a Flea Market. Lots of airplane noise since the park is located in the flight path of the Jacksonville International Airport. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Yes, it's a large park with a lot of concrete. At least you aren't scraping trees and dealing with leaves everywhere. They allowed my 4 retired racing greyhounds, when the other highly rated park only wanted walking house slippers, not real pets. We always pickup the stray poops that we come across (stray poop is most likely from the house slippers whose owners don't think they need to pick up their poop). Cable TV works well and Wi-fi is good. The commercial airport noise is acceptable...however we were greeted by a flight of 4 Navy F-15s taking off from the Naval Air Station while hooking up. Loud can't even describe it. They made 4 passes or touch & goes at the NAS. I know that military aircraft are a lot more noisy than commercial aircraft, but there is a reason for it. I saluted the flight and said "thanks for protecting us". We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice big concrete pads to park all vehicles on. Not much shade...but that to us means....no leaves...no sap from the trees...great park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
