In all my years full timing, I have never encountered an RV park like this! I tired to go for xmas & started calling in Nov - no answer & no return calls! I did go in Jan. It was to back in site, I said, fine as long as they would "spot" me in - they said they do not do this! I asked for directions off the highway - they said they do not provide that! Not one staff member was polite, helpful or even smiled! tried to overcharge me several times! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Group rate during week. Passport America accepted, but not in winter (Jan, Feb and Mar) or on Fri and Sat. Sites are level, fairly roomy and varied. Some have slabs, some patios and others just grass. We had a grass pull through with plenty of room on our curb side. The 'lake' which is more of an overflow basin is just about dry. The rec hall was nice and great for rallies. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stay here once or twice a year and have done so for several years. We liked it much better under the previous ownership and management. The free continental breakfast on weekends has not been available on our last two stays. There is a charge for the WI-FI. Formerly a local newspaper was delivered to the site every day. On our last stay we received a newspaper only one day out of five. We never come to Florida during the peak winter season, but during the fall or spring shoulder season. Without the Passport America discount, the park rate is too high except during the peak tourist time. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The park is under new ownership and the campground has suffered as a result. It is now known as the Lakeland Carefree RV Resort. No more free WiFi. They use a pricey commercial WiFi provider. My reservation deposit was immediately charged to my credit card. Very few campgrounds do this. Fire ants are everywhere. There were at least 30 mounds on our assigned campsite. I informed the CG manager and she handed me a card for a commercial exterminator who will spray your campsite for $25. We have been going to this campground for over 10 years but don't think we will return again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is simply a fantastic place to stay. From the office staff to the maintenance crew, everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. The showers and restrooms were kept spotless and the laundry facilities were great. The sites were nice and wide and allowed plenty of room. I camped here for a week and enjoyed the pool and the fishing pond. Even though it is close to I-4, I did not notice any road noise. Would definitely stay here again when in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Sites are wide and have plenty of room to park the truck. We used this as an overnight so did not use the pool , but it looked very nice. The office staff is very helpful and cordial. Very easy entrance off I-4 but there is a little noise from the highway. Every one very friendly and lots of snow birds this time of year. My only big complaint is that I thought they had cable TV. This site listed it for cable but it's only available for long term visitors. The antenna picked up a lot of channels so it turned out not to be a really large problem. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The staff is very friendly. This campground is exactly as we expected. I would stay here again. Used my Passport America discount and this campground was a good value. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The CG was very tidy. We had a very long concrete pad which must have been 70ft long, like most others. We stayed for 5 nights and found it very quiet. WiFi access was fine. Our only problem was that the place is miles from anywhere - we like to walk (upto 3 miles) to a local restaurant where we can enjoy enjoy a glass or two of wine/beer with our meal out. Unfortunately, there aren't any restaurants close by. Otherwise we would have given a 10. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very convenient park. Easily located. Friendly park people willing to help. Some highway noise. Near I-4 You are fitted in with stationary TT's and Park models. Would be good for a winter stay. Snowbirds. Used because the park is near National RV Warranty Center. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park was very nice as far as facilities go. Roads were paved and wide enough to get around. The pool was heated, which was great since the weather was a little cooler than we hoped for. There is also a hot tub. Sites were decent size and overall the place was very clean. There were lots of 'seasonal' residents, mostly snowbirds (I don't mean that in a bad way). A little older crowd than we expected and hardly any children, made it a little boring for our 12 yr old. Check in staff and residents were very nice. We did have an escort to our site. However, we were not offered any information on activities, I found that on a bulletin board outside. Planned activities ended on March 31. They have a fenced pet area, but it could use a little cleaning up, there were dead tree branches and lots of leaves - no grass or places for humans to sit. The only other bad thing is the noise - it's very close to I-4 and you get lots of road noise - too bad since the park is very nice overall. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Well this park was not a good experience for us. We stayed there for almost two years while we were looking for a home. We were charged a deposit of $200.00 and even made many improvements to our site but our deposit was not returned. There were many other problems but would rather not get into it now. If your a snowbird it's a great park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Park is nice and well staffed. Everyone is professional and friendly. Need more maintainance people though to keep it up. Close to shopping and easy on and off I-4. A snowbird heaven. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A nice park, especially for snowbirds. Close to shopping and the interstate. We camped here in a camper.
The campground is well maintained and clean. They cater to older people and have Bingo and music weekly. There are many shops and restaurants close including Wal-Mart and Sweetbay. We have visited the park many times and will stay there again next time we are in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We are here in the off season so we almost have the place to ourselves. This is a very nice park and you can tell the pride the owners have by how well maintained it is. Our site is huge. It is nice looking out your window and seeing cranes walking by. Good bike trails, pool and lots of places to walk your dog. The people working at check in were friendly. If in the area we would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We spent 8 days at Sanlan and found it to be what an RV Park should be. Actually, it's more of a resort than a stop over RV park. It's picturesque, great walking trails through shaded areas around a 27 hole golf course and small lakes. The staff warmly welcomed us, and people working on the grounds were friendly. The laundry and bath facilities were very clean and updated (unlike what has been reviewed previously). On the negative side, this park gets filled quickly for winter months, so check in before arriving to be certain there's an opening. Be aware, they have a rule that is not to be questioned or broken, no matter what. Do not reserve a spot for longer than you plan to stay, because they do not refund for any reason. We had an ant infestation that kept us up at night. Because of this we decided to end our stay, even though we had planned to extend our stay longer. Luckily we only had one night left on before we'd need to reserve more nights. We asked for a refund, and were were abruptly turned down, even when I told them that I'd been asking the office to help us with the ant problem. We were told someone would come and spray several days before we decided to leave, but that didn't happen until the day before we left, after we told them we were leaving early. They apologized and sent someone over to spray, but alas, no refund. Other than that, Sanlan is a lovely spot. We had a charming send-off as we left the park when ak very large lazy alligator was sun bathing by the exit lake. We took pictures, but thankfully he didn't smile or move. We would stay here again, but would search out a spot without ants, and we'd be aware that there are no refunds-ever. This is a great snow-bird second home retreat. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I sold my house and was in between homes, so I stayed at Sanlan until my new house was completed. The staff is great! They will do anything reasonable to make you happy. They couldn't have been more kind and accommodating to me. The sites are large and the park is very clean. The residents there are also very nice. I could only find three negatives about this park. 1) No fire rings, 2) the bathrooms and showers were very dirty (no ac), 3) you have to walk a distance for a dumpster. If you are in Lakeland and are looking for a safe, nice, quiet place to stay, head over to Sanlan! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a beautiful park, very quiet. We came here to hike. There are some nice and long trails. We will return to this park next year. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Though we were only here for a few days, we will return to this park if we're in the Lakeland area again. The park is a large and busy park but the sites were large and the many long term residents were extremely friendly. Shortly after we arrived, some of our neighbors stopped by to introduce themselves and say hello. We had little interaction with the staff other than at check-in where they were nice enough. We found the park, restrooms, and laundry to be well-kept and clean. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We registered for a 5 night stay and eventually left after 30 days. Prior to leaving, we paid a deposit for a 60 day stay next winter. The site that we occupied was 40 feet wide with ample space to park our enclosed car trailer as well as our motorhome, and still have full use of the cement patio. Our Golden Retriever was a welcome guest for an extra $1.00 per day, and we also paid an extra $1.00 per day for our trailer. We rode our bicycles for miles on the private trails where we saw many alligators, numerous birds, and even made the 15 mile return ride to Bartow on the old rail trail. The large percentage of seasonal residents were friendly and welcoming with many from Ontario. The facilities were clean and convenient, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negative was the weak Wi-Fi signal. We found that we had to go to the main office to get a good and continuous signal. This park is a little more expensive than some others, but the amenities and activities that are available make it worth the little bit extra!! We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed in this campgound for two weeks. It is well situated half way between Orlando and Tampa. It's about a 30 mile drive either way. Lakeland itself is a small city that is easy to get around. Lakeland has two great malls for shopping (one big new outdoor type, one traditional indoor mall type) The new outdoor mall has a great moving theatre, most comfortable seats we have been in) Some great restaurants as well. The campground feels very rural, yet is only minutes away from great shopping. WiFi worked great! Cable TV gave us around 80 channels and was included in campground fee. The campground is very picturesque (NOT the new pull thru area) with lots of trees with Spanish moss. The laundry room had about 10 washers and dryers and were reasonably priced. Washrooms and showers were very clean. Lots of area to walk dogs without every leaving the campground (it's very big). But do keep your dogs leashed. We saw several crocodiles sunning themselves. (right next to the "dog walk"!) We had a great time and can hardly wait to return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is an extremely large park populated primarily by retirees in “annual on sites,” “monthly metered sites,” or mobile homes. The remaining 150 or so RV sites vary tremendously in size and quality. Most sites in the Sunset Circle area are grass with concrete patios and are adequate, but the Ranch View section has extremely narrow sites and not a blade of grass. Long-termers accurately refer to it as “the sand box”. (We would not have stayed if we’d been placed there.) If you play shuffleboard, you’ll be in heaven here. Laundry was clean and large. Cable was good, but required an adapter to connect. The wifi was excruciatingly slow. For the quality of the campground and the amenities, I felt it was over-priced, and I felt absolutely gouged by the pet policy. They insisted our beagle mix was a “large dog” – anything over 12 lbs, by their definition – and charged an extra $1 per day (it’s fifty cents a day for “small dogs”). For what? A charge for cable or wifi makes sense, but they don’t provide any service for my extra pet charge. To add insult, this park had more un-scooped poop than any other we’ve seen. Also, they advertise Good Sam, but they do not honor it, nor do they discount for weekly reservations. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We spent nine days here and will return. The sites where we were had lots of space and shade. The sites are grassy with a concrete patio. Staff are friendly and helpful. We arrived on a Sunday. Before we got to Sanlan, our truck died (12 miles away, on the interstate!). Chris called around for us and arranged a tow truck. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We had a son move to this area and choose it strictly from the location. It turned out to be one of the nicest parks that we have stayed at. We only spent 5 days here but it would be easy to spend a month or more. Roads are all paved and most of the sites have good size patios. They are connected to a golf course, putting green and driving range. There are several fishing lakes to choose from. No license needed, just a free permit from the park. There are miles of nature trails. Enjoyed our stay and will return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Unlike most people we came here for a stay and didn't leave. The best thing to happen to Tiki Village was the new Management.Just to let everyone know the park isn't going anyplace. Some of the campworkers could be more friendly, but there are enough super friendly workers to make up for them. The park offers something for everyone, even your pets. The new manager Connie, a pet lover, has added a pet park. Now our 4 legged family member have a area where they can run and play. The park offer lots of activities to keep your stay buzzing. What other park can say they have a women cave (better known as the craft shed). I would be very sure to say you would be booking your spot for next year's stay, that is if you leave. Stop by and check Tiki Village out, it is well worth your time. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very clean Rv park with just what we require as fulltimers. Well kept up, but has been sold to a commercial developer, could be it's last year in business. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I felt this park was clean well maintained. The staff was very friendly and management was helpful to assist with all my needs and questions. I felt it was close to many area attractions and events, they also accept pets so my spaniel was happy at not having to stay in a kennel. I would definitely go back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park and a good location. We stayed here for 2 weeks and it was a good base for us to explore the area. It is 40 minutes to Disney World and less than an hour to the gulf and everything around Tampa. Good Lakeland location, as well. Nice sized level spaces which are done with crushed asphalt. Staff were friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Motorhome.
