Alafia River State Park is a fairly new park and the camping area is open prairie. You can see most of the other RVs in the park from your site. The sites are about 1/2 pull through and 1/2 back-in. None of the sites are real close together. The great thing about this park was the hiking and mountain bike trails. We would stay here again in order to explore more of the trails. The nearest grocery store was about 7 miles from the park. There was a convenience store just a couple of miles down the road. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Pretty 200 acre regional park, very wooded (no satellite reception). Access road has low hanging foliage that brushed top of our rig. Sites vary in size and some are difficult to get into with a 35' rig. Natural spring for swimming in was closed in Jan. for some work. Popular in summer for locals and swimming. Really quiet and relaxing. Bath houses unheated. $10 a nite for 55+ We camped here in a Motorhome.
