If you're looking for a nice, quiet campground, this is it. It's out in the country, and you hear cows and roosters! Unfortunately, its also a drive to do any shopping, Clewiston having the closest WalMart, or Okeechobee for more shopping selection. There is an Indian casino about 10 minutes up the road that has great penny slot machines! Wi-fi was free but kept disconnecting and couldn't get re-connected. About half are permanent trailers. We used PA for 1 week, regular rate for 2nd week. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very friendly people. Free Wi-Fi. Good Verizon phone. Good over-the-air TV. Price quoted is Passport America. Many permanent trailers. On Canal. Sites facing canal are $5 more. Mailing address is Moore Haven as Lakeport does not have a Post Office. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for 2 weeks through Passport America discounted rate. The park itself is very nice, facilities are extremely well maintained, and staff takes great pride in ensuring guests are happy. Easy access to park off Highway 27. Only downfall is not with the park itself, but the location is quite a distance from shopping, etc. There is an IGA Grocery Store in Moore Haven which is about 7 miles away and a Walmart Supercentre in Clewiston which is 23 miles away. Great place for anyone who enjoys a country setting. Wouldn't hesitate to visit again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We happened on this park by accident, we were on the way to the South Bay RV park, but the wife was tried so we stopped here. It was the best on the moment stop we made on this trip, the office was closed when we got there, but a gentleman that has a RV near the gate met us & showed us to a great pull through site for the night. The park was very clean everything at our site worked great...if we are ever down that way again we will stay here. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

OK park for an overnight stay unless you have a boat and/or are big on fishing. Sits along canals that have alligators swimming around. Dog friendly, but keep them away from the canals; the owners tell you dog is alligators favorite food. Camp was dirty looking, unkempt, grass needed cutting (two weeks ago). Family friendly? I would not take my grandkids there with alligators looking for food. We stayed one night, Passport America rate, and during a light rain, we lost power three times. Not good for electronics. Not sure I would go back but, it was OK. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park under new ownership. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. A bit hard to find as our GPS did not get us there. I would STRONGLY suggest calling for directions. The campground appears to be part of the "Moore Haven Recreational Area" is on the rim canal for Lake Okeechobee. No views of lake per-se, but nice canal views and good breeze during our stay (which helps keeps the bugs away - it is a buggy area). The approach to the campground was a bit intimidating as you pass the local prison, then a very poor and run down section of road about 1/4 in length, just before you get to the campground. We were beginning to have second thoughts about continuing on as the neighborhood went down hill fast. HOWEVER, once we got through this section and into the campground, we were very comfortable. There is (at least while we were there) a sheriff who resides in the campground. They don't appear to have any problems and it was a very peaceful quite place. We plan to go back to Okeechobee Waterway RV Resort again in the future. Best of luck to the new owners on their continued running of the campground and attracting new campers. We camped here in a Motorhome.

There isn't much landscaping and the sites are grass with a concrete pad and picnic tables are scarce. But this is a very comfortable big rig park with the bonus of an 18 hole golf course, a driving range and a deep water marina off the Inter Coastal Water Way. It has about everything a snowbird would want. We cringe when we try to get our 44' 5th wheel into many parks, but this park makes it easy. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We enjoyed this park! The sites are all back in, but they are huge at 45'x 75'. In fact, the entire park is huge at something like 500 acres. Sites are level and grass with an occasional palmetto tree. Roads throughout the park are paved and in good shape. The exercise room is a bit worn down and the equipment somewhat dated but in working order. Restrooms are clean. The showers aren't much: the main facility near the pool, features small cubes with a communal drain and, at the far end of the park, the shower is a roomy curtained off area in a communal restroom. I used the aforementioned shower: great pressure and lots of hot water. The pool is a good size, clean, and fairly warm. There is golf and a driving range. Did not eat at the grill, but I did check out the reasonably priced menu of breakfast and lunch items. At the far end of the park there is a marina for the intercoastal waterway, and Lighty's restaurant. We were fortunate to have dinner at the restaurant. Can highly recommend the fried shrimp and the chicken/bacon sandwich. Lots and lots of areas for doggie walking at the park but no waste bags. Our rig is 45 feet long and we tow a jeep: no problems maneuvering around this park at all. Shopping is about 15 miles away. We'll be back next year! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this park primarily for the golf and it turned out to be a nice course. It is also on the river so we brought our fishing equipment but ran out of time to fish. There is also a rodeo arena where they keep horses for riding. We found a clubhouse with pool tables, a library, and large TV. Staff very friendly and helpful. Park mostly empty because most snowbirds are gone this time of year. TV reception not great and no cable TV. Very little shade to be found. River view sites are older and have more trees. Plenty of room to spread out even with awning and slides out. About 15 minute drive to Labelle for groceries, gas, etc. Very nice park. Would be a 10 if there was more shade and had cable TV. Bring your bikes: this is a large park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We kind of enjoyed this park for 2 nights. Inspite of the fact that it is out in the middle of nowhere, rundown and needs upgrading, we had a nice view of the estuary and enjoyed slamming the fish-cleaning house door to attract the large alligators to the dock. Also, a great wetlands bird-watching place. Some of the seasonal people were still there who were very friendly and told us that the park is almost full during season. They have a great clubhouse where they had an ice cream social and a resident bluegrass jam session. We would return for a few nights again if we are ever in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Park appears to be For Sale, Very rundown, low voltage power. Laundry all but defunct. Would not step foot in restrooms, let alone use them. No windbreaks makes a very windy park. Could barely see bottom of 4 ft swimming pool. Many, old, rundown RV's in this park. Only hard stand sites are in the parking lot, the rest is sand and gravel. There is no security gate so anyone can drive in. Water pressure is good. Club house but no activities that we could see. Fish cleaning house and boat docks. Park is very isolated with nothing around for several miles. We would not stay here again. It was a reduced rate park through RPI. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
