This was a overnight stop. The site was a back-in, and the staff was very helpful getting us settled. The roads are blacktop and tight for big rigs, but navigable. The site was sand with some grass, FHU/50A, and cable. The price reflects Passport America discount plus tax. This was a 90 degree day, and the park was full. We had a problem with low voltage (113 volts) when we operated both A/C and hot water. We switched our water to gas, and the electric came up to 118v. Cable worked. We set up in site 24 and a large tree blocked our Dish sat. Short drive to visit Daytona Beach. We will stay here again! We camped here in a Motorhome.
I guess I should have known this would not be a good park when their main picture is of the pool. The park has some gravel sites with patios. We were "lucky" enough to be put in the back in sand and weed pile. Bring bug killer to spray around the site. Bring a good broom because every time to go into your RV, you track mountains of dirt and sand. The staff was OK. The girl was nice and the older guy was not. The streets are paved and just wide enough for one vehicle. Will never stay here again. It is not close to anything. Overpriced. We camped here in a Motorhome.
My husband and I looked at 3 campgrounds in the Daytona area before deciding on this one. We chose it for the cleanliness, shaded sites, and the PA price. The sites are grass with a concrete patio and a picnic table. There is a beautiful breeze at this park. The bathrooms and laundry room were very clean. The washers were only $1.25 and the dryers were fast. The office staff were very friendly. The people at the park seemed to also be friendly. There is a large number of French Canadian and they seemed to stick with each other. The park is in a newer area for shopping and in a great location to visit the Lighthouse and the Marine Science Center. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Large easy access park with nice hard surfaced roads. Friendly staff and escort to site. Many long stays, many friendly snow birds, and Canadians. Our site was hard ground grass, but 30 amps only. We had request and reserved 50 amps. It didn't matter because weather was great and 30 amps was sufficient. Just 10 minutes to Daytona Speedway. We stayed here for the Daytona Good Sams Rally. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Rate was PPA. Large park with mostly seasonal campers...many from Canada. All sites were well kept and the people were friendly. Clean long, but narrow, sites with a mixture of sand and grass. We didn't participate in any of the many park activities advertised on the board near the office since we were only here 2 nights and used that time to catch up on laundry after Daytona 500 dry camping. Ice cream available within walking distance! We camped here in a Motorhome.
A great campground. Clean and tidy with very helpful staff. Accessibility is great and quite quiet for a main road. Well located for beaches, racetrack, shopping. Like most FL camps a high percentage of semi-permanent rigs, cottages. Will return if in the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Pleasantly surprised with this park. Stayed for a week on a special rate of $99 which I found on their web site. Shaded sites, nice pool area, & clean rest rooms. Friendly staff and fellow campers. Close to I-95 and all attractions. I plan to stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Rate reflect Passport America. Campground recommended by friend who lives nearby (who is NOT a camper.) Very pleased with location, cleanliness, service. Check-in very smooth and given nice shaded site. Pool is medium size but very clean and warm. Sites we had were hard packed sand and we had no problems. Hookups excellent and concrete patio with picnic table delightful. Near to Daytona Beach and ocean (20 minute drive?) and grocery and supplies short drive. Had some fire ants in sand and maintenance came right away, searched for all of them, and asked if they had gotten all we had seen. Very eager to please and do it right. We will be back to camp next time we come to visit our friend. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Went here for the Daytona 500 and Speed week - lots of people. Site was VERY sandy and was advised to back thru a soft spot to get to firmer ground - had to use boards to keep jacks from sinking - nice wide slots and the majority of campground is seasonal people (lot of Canadians) but they are friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Motorhome.
GOOD: This park has paved roads, the older permanents are kept up, has accommodating staff, a very nice recreation hall and pool area, and a great location. NOT SO GOOD: Most sites aren't paved and are VERY sandy (one poor fella got stuck with rig). Also, the town of Port Orange's sewer treatment plant is nearby and on windy days smells up the whole RV park. Not the park's fault, just makes sitting outside a little less pleasant. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a nice open campground with easy access from I-95 without the noise. We had several problems though. In Sept there are very few travelers so the CG was not busy to say the least. In spite of this they were hard pressed to find a pull through for one night. We're 45'. Finally, and I give credit to the office staff, we were given a corporate site. The 50 amp service could not hold even one A/C unit and a cooking pot. We even moved to another box and it still blew. The price from Sunday -Thursday is half price, which is the good thing. We might try this CG again but only if we knew for sure that we had a site that could accommodate us. The electric needs to be fixed. In all campgrounds, we would like to see the office volunteer WiFi info. By the time we were ready up get online, the office was closed and we didn't have the access code. Not a happy camper! We camped here in a Motorhome.
For a PPA this is a real nice resort. Very clean, sites are big and wide, although most of the transient sites are on grass with no pads. The staff was very friendly. The bathrooms were air conditioned and nice and big. Very close to the Daytona Speedway, and not too far from the beach. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Not far from I-95 or from beaches. We really enjoyed the Ponce Inlet Park. The pool is very nice. This park would be good for an overnight along I-95 or a whole season. We recommend it. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a nice and clean campground. It is well cared for. The staff was pleasant and very helpful. They were packed right after Bike week, but it was still a great place to stay. The kids enjoyed it. I would stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The park was nice, convenient, clean and laid out well, especially for us as we are about 70 front ft overall. We have stayed there several times for bike week and the turkey run, without any problems whatsoever. Unfortunately, the couple managing the park were not as nice as the park itself. On the last day a camper arrived next to us and the guy was, let's say, less than pleasant, complaining from the moment he got there about things that were not our doing (i.e. picnic table on his site wasn't where it was supposed to be, didn't like the noisy hot rods, etc.) The guy managing the place (actually we are not sure he even was the manager) turned out to be of no help, in fact he made matters worse. We finally decided to pull out and leave a day early. Too bad, as it was a nice campground that worked great for both Bike Week and the Turkey run. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Reserved 6 site together a month in advance and was assured we would receive them. Got there and this was not the case, had to tell them we were leaving before we finally got 6 together. Yes, they had six together but were going to put us else where. Discovered when I put my foot in the pool it was not heated, 4 day no pool. Don't camp there if you want a heated pool, they never heat it. Sites were OK buy very close together. Very high price for what they have to offer. Will not return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice park. Well laid out. Quite accessible for most rigs including big rigs. Staff very friendly and helpful. Long term/seasonal campers friendy as well. Amenities all worked fine for us. No problems manuevering our 40' fifth wheel in and around park. Site are a little close together, but not too bad. No real shade on sites. Grass with concrete pads. Leveling was needed, but expected on grass sites. Our site had a broken pad and some tire marks dug in probably due to recent rains. Overall very clean and well kept! Would certainly recommend and would consider staying long term. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
It is what it is. OK for one night and a means to an end. If you like being on top of your neighbor, and she/he is French Canadian, this is the place for you. If you enjoy sitting around in groups, singing Kum ba yah (in French accompanied by accordion), this is your little peace of heaven. Positives: laundry facilities, dog friendly, great staff, twice daily trash collection, and a wonderful restaurant across the street. Cautions: mentioned above, internet only at the community center, hearing everyone's conversations (although not understanding the language. Good or bad depending.) And the fuzzy cable reception. Don't get me wrong, I like the French flair in proportion, but am weary in being a stranger in my native country, in half the parks we visited in Florida. What's up with that? I've also learned, I am a camper as opposed to an RVer. Big difference! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Nice park..probably as nice as there is in Daytona Beach. The good is the cost and a nice pool. The bad is there is very little happening here. You are parked like sardines and most people here are full time residents. The owners don't seem very welcoming. There is nothing extremely wrong with this park, but nothing to pull me back, other than the lack of better alternatives in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here one night while my husband attended the Richard Petty Driving Experience at Daytona speedway. The campground was nice, but the RVs were all crammed together like sardines. When our slide was out, it was on top of our neighbor's picnic table. The camp hosts were friendly, there was plenty of room to walk our dogs, but I wouldn't want to stay here for any length of time due to the crowded conditions. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice and has a good park like setting up front. The hosts were very nice and invited us to activities. Park was quiet, good location in Port Orange. We had stopped at another park and it looked like total chaos, so we made a dash for this KOA. I would stay here again and likely will soon. I would love it if they grew a little more vegetation toward the back of the park where the class A's are. More bushes, trees, etc., would make this a 10. Bathrooms are clean, could use a bit of an update but that was ok. Very pleasant, low hassle, nice people and clean. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very happy with this KOA. We were in town for my son's baseball tournament and could not have been happier with the host's and the fellow campers. Yes, everyone was a snow bird but what do you expect in Florida in December? Everyone was nice as we took our dog on a walk around the park. It is very quiet which was fine for us this trip, but if you are looking for a happening park this one is not for you. Lots are a little tight. Very clean and well kept. Will go back next time in Daytona. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is one of the most unfriendly parks that we have stayed in. The staff is OK, but the long and short term people won't even make eye contact, and if you try to engage them in conversation it's one word grunts. This is Florida, and we expect to have some bugs because it's tropical; however, the least the staff can do is mow the grass and make sure that spaces assigned to RVers are free of ants. We came in late and found over a dozen ant hills on our site. We had to spray everything before being able to pull in. The laundry room has many machines, but many of them are out of order. If you want to use the pool or any of the things the park offers, you have to drive. Everything is at the entrance of the park. RV sites are far from anything. We think this place is a dump and won't stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great park, great pool, and great staff. The only thing that needs improvement is the Wi-Fi. If we can get logged on from our site, it is very sporadic. Hopefully they will be upgrading it soon!!!! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
It was our first visit to Daytona Beach KOA. The sites are rather narrow and there is no shade to be found. We had a back in along the perimeter which seemed to be better than the sites in the middle which are side-by-side and back to back. There are two bath houses. One was immaculate and must have been recently redone. The other was not so good (the one near the front). The park staff very friendly and helpful. There is a place for dogs to play in a fenced area. The pool very clean and refreshing. The beach is about a 10 minute drive but we do not recommend biking there because of traffic and the bridge. We would stay here again but because of site size would avoid busy times. Graded at 8 because of the size and lack of shade. It is a cozy park otherwise. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great campground. Management and staff were so nice and went out of their way to make my stay the best! They had breakfast, lunch and dinner which you could have delivered to your site. Which was awesome! the pool looks brand new and looked sparkling clean. (Of course I didn't get in because it was too cold at the time, but it still looked great!) We will go back next year. Thanks! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
OK park but needs work. New shower house. Water and electric are oddly set. I have a 40 ft. rig and power lines were just above my back end and the sewer was set behind me, up hill, so I could not use it and old telephone wires were above ground. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here for 3 months on a monthly rate of 500.00 per month which is all inclusive. The location is nice with plenty to see and do in. The bridge to Port Orange beaches is close by. It would be nice if there were more trees on the property for shade. We wanted to stay an extra week but the daily rate was prohibitive. Management would not work with us on the price. Overall this is a good campground to stay in. The pool is clean and well maintained. I would recommend it. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a good good campground with friendly staff. The sites are small and narrow; our 40 footer leaves no room for our tow vehicle. But is close to beaches and shopping. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The management was very helpful in getting us in at a very late hour. We were escorted to our site and helped with the hook ups. We arrived late and left early but what we did see, the area was well maintained. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very clean and nice park in a good location to most area activities. Staff were friendly and helpful. Sites in rear portion of park border a residential area, and are very quiet. Sites in front of park are on busy roadway and very noisy. Very large and clean laundry area with reasonable rates! Sites could be a little more level, but were well kept. We camped here in a Motorhome.
It is pretty much a typical KOA. The sites are close together, with narrow roads and decent utilities. The WiFi unreliable - sometimes very good and other times not accessible. The staff was friendly. However, park was mostly empty and staff parked a travel trailer right beside us when four of five site separation would have been just as easy. There are no pull through sites. It is a Handy location for Daytona attractions. The sites are grass with concrete patios. We stayed here two nights. The rate reflects discount and tax. We camped here in a Motorhome.
My husband and I have been going to Daytona beach for years. We finally decided to hitch up the trailer and take the dogs with us on this years family vacation. The campground was convenient to EVERYTHING! The pool was amazing. Clean, new, and was equipped with float devices and very nice chairs (not cheap plastic) and tables. Restrooms were clean and there was 3 that were conveniently placed throughout the campground. Although one of them needed updated, there wasn't a problem with cleanliness. Adding an air conditioner to the restrooms would be nice. Very animal friendly. The dog area was away from the sites and provided enough room for my 2 dogs to play and run. The only shaded areas are against the perimeter of the park and are well worth the request. The staff was very friendly. The campers that worked for the campground were also, and liked to chat and say hello. Overall this was the best campground we had ever stayed at and WILL be returning again next year! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a new KOA, owned by the same people I think that own the other new Speedway KOA. Formally Orange Isle Campground. Needs a lot of improvement, they seem more worried about redoing the pool completely than good safe picnic tables for the campers. A lot of the sites you need a very long electric cord to reach power and same with water. They will loan you a cord if you leave your credit card # to be charged if you don't return it. If they have any left during the busy time. Absolutely no pull thrus, someone said the water main is between the sites not far under the ground so what could be very nice pull thru's are impossible. Also my sister wanted to rent a cabin which is advertised on the website but they do not have them at all. I don't know what thats about. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Had a reservation for 9 nights at $31/night. Upon arrival, I was told that our last night was going to be at the "event" rate of $91/total. There was no influx of additional campers that night. (The 'event' was the 24 hour sports car race that started the next day) They also charged an extra, undisclosed $2/night for our 7 pound Shitzu...Really? Lots of run down permanent resident units and some really nice newer units right next to them. Wi-Fi didn't work, but I had good Verizon 4g coverage. A lot of traffic noise. I can't imagine how noisy it is during Bike Week or NASCAR races! Because of the money issues, we won't stay here again. Get your price quote In Writing! Mine was verbal over the phone. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very easy to find and near Daytona Beach. Staff were very friendly. Campsite is dirt and root-bound so it was hard to level the RV. Unfortunately, we also ended up camped over an ant hill that decided to take up residence with us. Would stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is an older park that could use some TLC, but the staff was friendly. My complaint is that the wi-fi was slow and unreliable with very frequent drops. If keeping in touch through wi-fi is important to you, I'd look elsewhere. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Found park staff friendly and helpful. Older park showing signs of the bad economy. Sites and amenities need some TLC. Nice location. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
I will come back again. The staff at this campground are just wonderful: they went out of their way to help. Thank you so much! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Stayed at Nova Family Campground for the Daytona 500 weekend and had an enjoyable time. The facility is average overall. The showers and bathrooms were adequately clean. The roads are a mix of dirt and asphalt, so some mud puddles were around. Plenty of shade trees and grass. We were against the fence on the side; wasn't bad, but was also the RV storage area. Neighbors were nice, and noise wasn't an issue. You do have to buy the firewood there, which does get expensive. Someone was always driving around on a golf cart cleaning, etc. Too cold for the pool, but it looked nice. Sinks are with the toilets, so a little inconvenient after getting a shower. Basically this campground serves its purpose as a place to stay while visiting the area. I would return and recommend to others. We camped here in a Tent.
We recently stayed here for the WinterJam 2010. This park is OK if you have other things to do in the area. There are a few permanent trailers and a lot of snow birds. Although the park was crowded during our stay, the sites were plenty large enough. Looked like most of all the sites were pull-through which was a plus. Each site appeared to have a picnic table. Fires are permitted, but you must buy their fire wood. The park would really benefit if they had a late check-out fee. We didn't use the restrooms, but others in our group did. They did not think they were all that clean. We would probably return here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We stayed for three days and nights, and I was very impressed. The people were so very nice, and thoughtful. The campground was very clean, and well kept. We had very good neighbors while we were here, and it was very quiet when we went to bed at night. We felt very safe staying here. Oh yes, we loved all the beautiful shade trees. We live about 10 hours away in North Carolina, but Port Orange will be our place to stay when we go back to Florida to visit. Wish I were back there now, where it's warm. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Friendly staff and accessible to the Daytona raceway however on the night we stayed the swimming pool was out of commission which was disappointing. The pitch was a little over run which probably added to the number of mosquitoes around the place. Pitch was around $40 for the night. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We are not exactly outdoorsy but we wanted an inexpensive alternate to a hotel. We are simply in love with this place, the staff was friendly, the activities were abundant. The campground is in a nice location (the beach is only a few minutes away), the landscape was beautiful. We has stayed in one of their log cabins with a loft which gave the kids a full blown camping experience. The campground sells firewood for cheap so we were able to have smores and a BBQ right outside. We had no reservation problems like the previous review even though the review caused us to worry. Bottom line: lots of fun for anybody. We camped here in a Campground Cabin.

We stayed at Nova Campground during Biketoberfest so there has to be some concessions made on behalf of the number of people at the campground. Even with that number of people the campground seemed to be well run, the bathrooms were maintained (we always had TP!!)and the staff was courteous. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We camped here long term for two seasons, then the owner decided we could not have our same space back for next season. The park manager was very abusive causing trouble with many residents who were afraid to call her out to the owner. We objected and she finally got the owner to make us mad enough that we refused to come back again. The park is dirty and not well cared for. We let them make extra money on our site by renting it out a second time [double dipping] during bike week and the Daytona 500 but they never even thanked us. If you stay here, just watch out for [a large lady], she will worm her way into your heart and then bite you like a snake when you aren't looking. She doesn't have a driver's license but she can tell you how how fast you are driving ... that is unless you have a motorbike with no muffler, then you can go as fast as you want. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We payed for a week but asked for a refund after the first night. The showers were filthy,Mold and Mildew on the floors and walls. The toilets had little or no Paper..When we complained to the Office a woman called ( Mary ) was very rude and would not give us a refund..We payed in cash not a credit card.Big mistake.a card we could have stoped payment..The grounds haddn't been cleaned in god knows how long...Leaves,Sticks, and palm leaves..Fire ant mounds all over the place..Nothing for the kids to do..No play ground. No swings (nothing)We spoke to other campers and they said they would never return.. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The grounds of the park are not kept up at all with lots of overgrown grass and weeds. Sites are not organized, level or even spaced. Would Not Stay here again, very disappointed. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
I would only recommend this park as an overnight stop, not for a long term destination. We were here for part of "Bike Week" in Daytona, which made our rate much higher than normal. Full hookups, all worked fine, and we were able to get satellite reception through the trees on our site. Mainly the parks is old, run down, and there's a lot of trash. A few permanent residents, some appear to have been there so long that they probably couldn't be moved if you tried. Bike Week ended on Sunday, and by the following Friday the dumpsters were still overflowing, and there was still trash scattered all over the tent sites. The staff was nice and friendly though. Wouldn't go back unless it was just a stopover along to somewhere else. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice family campground and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed there a week and even though it was old car and cycle week the campground was very quiet. Sites are all grass but fairly level and there is a lot of pull throughs for bigger rigs
We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Not a bad looking campground. We went through it when we were in the area, and checked it out for future use. I called back to make a reservation for a weekend in Oct (coincedently the same week as Biketoberfest), and could not get one. Not because they were full, but because they do not take reservations for that weekend. I spoke with the person about that, and she told me it was first come, first serve. Curiously, she could not quote a rate. After checking around and finding a campground elsewhere, I learned that what they were doing was giving their sites to the highest bidder. The closer to the weekend it gets, the higher their rates will be. That's why no reservations. I will certainly not think of this place when the off season comes and they're crying for business... We camped here in a Motorhome.
