Very nice people. Spaces are close together. Most of the people live there full time. If you have satellite be sure to ask for an open spot other wise to many trees. OK for a one night stay We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is our second visit; we stayed here to visit with friends that live near by. Nice park with huge oak trees, hence the name Big Oak. Forget satellite, the cable is pretty good. There are a number of pull-through sites, B4-10, are the best. Road and sites are gavel, there are concrete pads with picnic tables. Our arrival was horrible, pouring rain, nothing seemed to go right, did not have our reservation, hooked up electric and no power. Employees took everything in stride with efficiency, humor and patience. The power was fixed immediately, no other problems encountered. Sites are a little tight, but staggered so you have room for slides and awnings. Visitors are fine, dog friendly and the office is open until 7pm. Rate includes Good Sam discount. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Expensive for what you get. This was an overnight for us so expectations are less. We were in a dark dingy canopy covered area with large Oaks. No chance for satellite. Many trailers and motorhomes were old broken and even moss covered. We would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Close to Tallahassee attractions, with lots of restaurants and major chains within short distance. Park itself is in need of a facelift,but has good structure. Good for overnight stay. Staff friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an older part, but is clean. Wi-Fi was very good for us. We had a 50 amp back in. Lots of trees. TV only has about 15 stations. Gravel roads and sites. Owner was very nice and helpful. I believe there are a lot of snowbirds here. It is fairly close to town. Shopping and dinning is very close. Rate reflects the Good Sam price. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Older park with quite a few "permanent" guests. Good park for an overnight. Staff is very friendly if you are not pushy. If you are friendly, they are friendly. Sites are "okay" but not great. We would stop here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Easy access? Yes, from I-10 but the one can easily scrape entering/leaving. Pull-throughs? Yes - occupied by college football fans for the season. Trees? Yes - nice. Permanents? Tons, mostly pretty shabby. Layout? Sporadic at best. Did I say the permanents were really old and beat up? Stay again? Just drive on. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Big Oak is aptly named. There are a number of large live oaks providing shade. Of course the beautiful trees prevent satellite reception. They have sites that accommodate a 45er. Short distance from I-10 so good for over night stop. Quite a few seasonal/permanent residents. Check out Decent Pizza about 2.5 miles on the other side of I-10. Would overnight here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here four nights in a row and were put in the "over-nighters" section with no trees and little space, while the big roomy, shady spots set vacant. The bathhouse has one toilet and one shower and people waiting to use it, and the camp was not even busy! When are more going to be added??? The staff is always nice and the Internet works everywhere as far as we know, but it is slow!! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed overnight in a pull through site. The park is very pretty. Huge Oak trees everywhere and most of the sites have shade (not the pull through sites in the middle). It was a quick overnight so we didn't have the opportunity to use or see any of the facilities but initially, I would stay here again. The gentleman in the office was very nice, very helpful, and escorted us to our site. He also came by on his way home to give us some advice about dealing with mosquitoes. We met the lady across the street who was also very friendly. We learned from her that there are many permanent residents living in this park but all of the sites are very nice and very well cared for. The residents take a lot of pride in keeping their park clean, nice, and quiet. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Lots of shade as the name would imply. Easy in and out, but not really near much. Several miles to restaurants and traffic is a nightmare. Many seasonal or year round residents, but still not bad. Site was level and the WiFi and Cable were good. We stayed two nights and would again if we had to pass through this area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park is an older park and occupied by mostly fulltime residents. The staff is friendly and will guide you to your site. The electric is good, the water pressure is low, Wi-Fi is good, but the cable TV is good one moment then bad the next. A little over priced for what you're getting. Beautiful oak trees, one was 350 yrs old and huge. Lovely, shaded picnic areas under trees. Sites were adequate, not too close to neighbor, reasonably level. Friendly staff, older park, but well maintained. Stayed three nights, would definitely stay again. No satellite TV due to trees, but cable and local OTA TV adequate for as much as we watched it. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The Big Live Oak trees are beautiful. Very shady, you would have trouble if you want to use Satellite. Only 1 washroom with shower: men and women for the whole campground. Clean but tired. Site was long enough and level for our MH plus toad without having to unhook. We stayed here to be in Tallahassee for a few days, seemed like the better choice around. It is OK for an overnighter. Friendly staff. Quite a few campers living here. We stayed here 3 nights. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice park, sites and roads are gravel and picnic tables are on concrete pads. We had 50 amp service, water, sewer, Wi-Fi and cable. Our satellite was not able to find a signal due to the huge oak trees, hence the name Big Oak RV. Employees are professional and helpful, even checked on us after we were settled. Had good cell service (Nexel). The interior road is a little tight, and the sites are close but RVs on pull through sites are staggered providing plenty of room. The rate reflects a Good Sam discount, still a little high. We would stay here again. We stayed in a 5th wheel which we tow with a hauler and still had room for a guest on our site. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate reflects Good Sam discount & coupon. Place was still over-priced, probably because in Tallahassee. No frills park. Two ladies in office didn't want to accept coupon: "never heard of it." After short conversation, accepted coupon "as a favor". Escort to site was provided. Gravel site was level. Water, electric, sewer as described. Lots of full time residents but not a problem, nice and quiet. Site long enough for 40' coach, 16" toad. Didn't have to unhook. Room to open 4 slides. After driving 5 hrs, have mixed feelings about staying again due to coupon issue. Don't want to sound picky, but if they are a Good Sam campground, they should stay informed. We met friends here and stayed for one week. The park was actually nicer than we had expected and there were plenty of open sites. Our pull thru wasn't near any of the large oak trees, so we didn't have any issues with site access or our slides. It does appear that if the park were full, the sites might feel a bit cramped. The bathroom/shower is in a single room and is gender specific. We saw a man using the ladies room when the gentleman's was obviously occupied. For a park this size and price, this arrangement doesn't seem quite adequate. Laundry room was clean and the washer/dryers worked fine. The best part of this park is it's proximity to downtown Tallahassee and other attractions. We would stay here again, but not for more than a few days. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I travel in an Aliner pop up so most of my review pertains to the shower/restroom facililty. Self contained units may have a different opinion. Wifi excellent, cable tv excellent, space with patio very nice and easy to access i. e. pull through. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Bathrooms and showers leave a lot to be desired. The bath, sink shower combo was very small and outdated. The shower faucets are about to fall out of the wall and leak badly. They need replacing. The floor was not always clean when I went in to use the facility. Each time there were wet, sandy foot prints from the previous user. No vanity not even a shelf. I guess they want you to shower and then do all your other functions in your camper. No AC in showers. There was an electrical heater for winter months. I was there in May. I sure wish they had a big nice shower facility with clean restrooms, this would then be a great site. I will be trying another site on my next trip to Tallahassee. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a pleasant campground with numerous large live oak trees. Lots of shade, but it is difficult to get a satellite signal at many sites. Free cable with quite a few channels pretty much offsets this. Sites are unpaved but have paved picnic table pads. Wi-Fi service was good. Most sites appear to be occupied by long-term residents. We were given a pull through with easy access even with our towed car still attached. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is convenient to travelers using I-10, being located about 2 ½ miles north of the US-27 interchange. The location of the park on a major highway makes it somewhat noisy due to road traffic, but the staff was very helpful in locating me on a site that was away from the street. Since I stayed over a weekend, there was very little heavy truck traffic passing by. There are many permanent residents in this park. The Wi-Fi signal strength and cable TV offered were both excellent. I’d recommend this park for a stay of one or two nights. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful park with lots of shade trees. The lots are level, there is road noise from the highway. Because of the trees, our ATT air card would not work and we could not get on WiFi. Park was almost full from what appears to be locals. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Sites are not at all level but could be if management would spend a few hours with a tractor. Lots of older RVs that are in serious need of a wash. Just kind of a rundown aging park. If you do decide to stay, bring a shovel and move some dirt around to make your site level. Park has incredible potential, just needs some vision. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed here one night and had a clean, level site and easy hookups. The office staff was nice and we were escorted to our site. There seemed to be a lot of full timers in the park, but there are areas for overnight and short timers. I had no complaints about this. Park is close to get on and off Interstate 10. The large oak trees are a compliment to the campground. Wi-fi worked fine. There is only one building with bathrooms by the office. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

When we reserved our site, we requested a site with clear views for our satellite. They parked us where we were partially covered by Big Oaks! However, they said we shouldn't have a problem. We had a little problem getting level, but finally did. We hooked up, and guess what? We couldn't get satellite reception. They promptly moved us to another spot where we did get reception. The people were nice. This park is right off Hwy 27 and it is noisy. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Park is easy access from I-10. Our site had such a slope that our jacks could not level without taking the front wheels completely off of the ground. Very tight turns, we had to wait for the folks next door to pull out, before we could leave. Not sure how we would have gotten out if they hadn't been leaving, too. This park met our needs for an overnight stay. We look for 50 amp, big rig access, level site, space for our four slides, close to highway/interstate. The roads were good gravel, parking area was gravel with a concrete patio and nice grass. Cable was included in the price. Wi-Fi was also included but I wasn't able to connect. We were in site B9. The park has BIG trees, but we were out in the open. We would stay at this park again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Large park shaded throughout by amazing "Big" oaks. The office area has a nice little garden. The bathhouse consist of one shower and one toilet each for men and women. The park is full of short term workers. We had to park our coach on the side of the office is was so full. The wireless and cable were good and the staff is very friendly. the laundry facilities are adequate. The capitol is just down the road and all the amenities such as stores, fuel, etc. Not a bad park, just very crowded! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed 3 nights to visit son who is college and to do some sightseeing. Park is very nice - not fancy, but very clean. As stated before, there are a lot of workers camping here while they do some kind of pipeline work nearby, but other than traffic in/out, they were quiet and friendly. Lots are easy to get in/out of, and where we were we all had patio slabs and a picnic table. Food and supplies are available nearby at a variety of stores; WalMart is between the park and I-10 and there is a Camping World west on I-10. Staff was very friendly - led us to our spot, answered any questions we had and even stopped by to let us know they fixed a leaky faucet at out site while we were gone. Satellite reception might be a problem due to the trees, but they do have CATV at each site. When we go back to Tally, we will definitely stay at Big Oak again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We arrived here late in the afternoon and the setting sun blocked our view of the parks entrance signs and our GPS lied to us saying we should turn earlier. The staff was very helpful in guiding us back to the park. This is a pretty park with huge 300-year old oaks draped with Spanish moss. We were guided into our site and helped with parking. There are only three parks in Tallahassee and we randomly chose this one. We only stayed one night and did not use the Wi-Fi. Located just 3 miles north of town, near shopping and facilities. Like the other reviews, this is a busy park because of all the permanent sites and workers in the area. The price is more than we normally would pay, but we needed to stop for a few days. There are only a few parks in the area and they all are on the expensive side. Too much money for what you get. There is only one men's and women's restroom/shower but they were clean. Staff very friendly. Will not stay here again. There are a lot of state parks both east and west of here that would be a better choice. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A busy park. We arrived in October and again in March without reservations and were lucky to get in. We suggest making a reservation. The drive from/to I-10 is quite busy. There is a left turn off in the median to access the park (even though our GPS was indicating a u-turn 200 yards farther up the road). A very pretty park, with 300-year old oaks draped with Spanish moss. As there are only three parks in Tallahassee, we were fortunate to be accommodated at all; however, I’ve never in 10 years of travelling seen such crowding! We and our neighbour barely got our slides out. I guess that’s why they don’t have picnic tables: no room! Add that to the lack of a pool and a Wi-Fi that’s often glacially slow and I rate the park as average, although it has the potential to be great. There's a clean, functional laundry room and lots of work being put into the gardens. Super friendly staff and guests, and a good location only 3 miles north of town. Didn’t notice any organized activities. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Aptly named as 2/3 of the sites are under beautiful, huge oak trees streaming with Spanish moss. This is our second time here. The park is very convenient to I-10 and downtown Tallahassee. There are several permanent and seasonal sites, but they are in fairly good repair, not too dumpy, and in separate rows from the overnight spots. Pads are gravel and have concrete patio slabs. Most sites are out of level more than our leveling jacks. We had to drive up on blocks to get level. There are no amenities here. However, the Wi-Fi connection was the fastest and most reliable that we have had full-timing in the last 6 months. Highway noise was annoying for a couple hours during evening rush hour, but no problem after that. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here a week while in Tallahassee. It is the only park within the city, and is convenient to everything within 5-15 minutes. This is not a good park for you if you are not self-contained. There is one bathroom for each gender, so you may have to wait a while (the shower is also in the bathroom). No paper towels, so bring your own towel. There are many permanent or semi-permanent residents here; but the park is clean, very quiet, and the staff are friendly. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We used this park as a sleep-over on a night that the temperature was at the freezing mark so we stayed bundled up inside and did not see much of the park. I did like the easy access and the friendly escort who guided us in. The location is great if you are going to visit the area for a few days as it is not smack up against the Interstate. Not many park choices going through Tallahassee. This park has hard gravel roads and sites. Easy access from I-10, about two miles on a fairly busy 4-lane highway. Power and cable TV were good. The staff was excellent and friendly. Very clean and quiet. This park should be a 10, however it does not have a pool. Wi-Fi was strong and there was a huge selection of cable channels. Very clean park! It was nice to park on rocks and have a nice concrete patio and beautiful green grass (no dirt!). The large oaks are beautiful and the "Big Oak" is amazing! It is obvious the owners take pride in keeping this park immaculate. We enjoyed the shade. Great location with grocery store, Wal-Mart, lots of restaurants close by and easy access to I-10. Also excellent Wi-Fi and lots of cable stations. I give this park a 9 only because it doesn't have a swimming pool. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I have stayed here and let me tell you; they put us on a site in the lowest part of the campground. The next morning, their sewer system had overflowed and raw sewage was flooding our site. I waded out to unplug my RV and water hose. I left my sewer hose . What a nightmare this place was: I will never come back!!! I know accidents happen, BUT, routine maintenance on a sewer system would have prevented this problem. We camped here in a Motorhome.

What a delightful place. Gorgeous, well-stoned RV park full of old-growth oak trees but, yet, we were still able to get our satellite. Spaces are generous and level, electricity, cable, and water were great, and wi-fi was outstanding. Several older ladies run this park and they are so pleasant. We didn't want to unhook but ran out of soft drinks, and one of them went to the store for us at no charge! You don't find many parks like this anymore. We will definitely return. Due to unforeseen circumstances we found ourselves in this campground again and even though our first visit was less than desirable we are so happy we gave it a second chance. The front office was kind, polite, and extremely helpful. They went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one. Park is conveniently located to I-10 with easy access for big rigs. Hook ups are well positioned and work properly. Our site was not level and the Wi-Fi did not work. When I went to the office to ask about the Wi-Fi I was told that someone would come by my site to check it out. 30 minutes later a lady came by and said the assigned Wi-Fi person would not get off the lawnmower, but she would try to get him to come by. We left the next morning, and he still had not come. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The only positive that I can comment on this campground is there are beautiful Oak trees on the property. This should be your last resort for a one night stay, if not keep going. You need codes to get to the bathroom and yet they were still not clean. We had just picked up our new motorhome and were having some difficulties. It was 9:30 PM and other campers came out to ask all sorts of questions. Did we hit lotto? Is our engine a Cummins/turbo? Not helping but rather adding to what was already a stressful situation. The icing on the cake was the woman camper next to our site who asked us, "How much longer will we be?" We explained we were having some difficulties and she could care less she raised her voice louder and spoke firmly, "How Much Longer Will You Be???" Needless to say, we got out of there in the AM as fast as we could and closed the door to that chapter. We would stay in a rest area on the side of the road before going back to this campground. We have stayed at this campground three times, and always look forward to it. It is named for the 350-year-old royal oak in the middle of the campground, and it is the most beautiful tree I've ever seen. That alone would make this worth staying here. They are very pet friendly and adjoin a large field where you can exercise your dog. We found it quiet even though it's nearly in the city. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a clean CG with gravel pads and a little grass. We didn't want to be right up front (by the road) so took a site in the back with no trees, but plenty of mosquito's! The staff was accommodating and pleasant. The restrooms and laundry room are clean. Plenty of TV channels and good internet reception. We stayed here for an overnight stop. The sites are gravel, but pretty level. The staff was very friendly, and a local sheriff lives on the grounds. Like the name says most of the sites are under large oak trees, so plenty of shade. The cable TV was working great, lots of channels. It looked like they were doing work on some of the sites so they must be working to make the place better. It is about 4.5 hours from the house so we might go back again. It is very dusty from cars on the road. This park would be an overnight stay only but, I would never plan on spending any extended time here. Manager welcolmed us late in the evening and was very helpful in getting us settled in and hooked up, inviting us to register in the morning noting that we looked tired. (Note: See review on Tallahasse RV Park). The 300 year old oaks on the property were spectacular, the coffee was hot and free, and our dog was welcomed with biscuits! Folks were all super nice and there was plenty of space, quiet and shade. There was a variety of rigs, ages and a local Sheriff that seems to reside here fulll time. We will be back! A nice campground with a very friendly staff. We felt very safe as there were about 4 or 5 state troopers that we staying in the park while attending a school in Tallahassee. The biggest problem is that they only have a single shower and restroom each for men and women, and they are very small at that. There was plenty of shade, but the close proximity to a main highway made for lots of traffic noise. I would stay again, but request a space towards the back of the park. About the best thing that I can say about this campground is that the cable TV works. The sites are narrow, gravel and not level. Many of the sites are occupied by long term residents that haven't spent a lot of time on landscaping or anything else. We were parked right next to the wifi tower and it only worked occasionally so I can imagine how poor the connection is on the edges of the park. We were here for an overnight stay and I can assure you that we left as early as possible the next day. Do yourself a favor, save your $33 and park in a Wal-Mart parking lot. Hard to believe a park this big only has one bathroom, with the shower and toilet combined...but I was lucky during my brief visit and didn't have to wait. Most of the RVers here have big rigs and use their own showers, not me, and the many residents crammed in the back area are self-contained. We spent the weekend at this campground during the first Florida State Football home game. We checked in on a Friday afternoon, and was quickly checked in and escorted to our site. The campground was completely booked for the weekend, however many of the sites are occupied by long term campers/residents. We did not find the campground to be overly tightly packed. We had sufficient room for our 35 ft motorhome and pickup truck. The staff was extremely friendly. The park was also pet friendly. Even though it was a game weekend, the park was quiet. The big drawback here is as stated previously, the lack of bathrooms. There is 1 toilet and shower for the men, and 1 toilet and shower for the ladies. The site we were on was very shaded, but not the most level. This campground is extremely close to all Tallahassee has to offer and there are many services very close by. We would definitely stay here again. Reserve early if coming during the college football season, they fill up fast as there are many sites occupied by longer term campers, so there is a more limited amount of overnight camping available. We arrived when it was getting dark but set up okay on a corner site. The only drawback we found was a single men's john, and a single women's john for an 80-site park. Seems to me that this woul be a problem when the park was full. That wasn't the case the night we stayed. I would stay here again for an overnight. Very good portion of CG was occupied by the long term residents, only some sites in the middle of the park were reserved for the overnight RV, the site are very very close to each other, we stay in our MH almost the whole time when we were in the CG. There is only one bath/shower room for each sex. If occupied , it will not be available for a while , this is the only one you can use, really !! The path way is narrow and not in good condition. Just awful. Someone took a piece of land and put hook ups on it. I couldn't tell where the roads ended and the campsites started. We were approach by a panhandler that lives in the park. We reserved a pull through and when we arrived we were told there were none left. The lady was very rude borderline pychotic. Dogs ran loose in the park. If you washed oily, grease filled rags in the washers it may clean them up because they were nasty. This park should be condemned. We unfortunately camped here because it was late and needed to get off the road to rest. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Arrived in the afternoon with friends following in another bus. Registration was hectic with lots of people in the office seemingly just milling about and chatting. The lady behind the desk was somewhat impatient and curt. After a long wait, a man arrived to show us into our sites. We followed behind his golf cart through the park, then into a very tight narrow road, then into a too-tight turn to get into our too-tight site, scraping the top of our rig with tree branches in the process. Don't understand why they put us in this site when we had called ahead and reserved for two 45 foot Prevosts. Stayed the night and left early the next morning. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was our fourth stay in two years as an overnight stop on our way to the Keys. The good: WIFI available and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Pet friendly and easy access to I10. The bad: Park is showing its age and needs sprucing up; buildings need fixing, painting and some sheds just need to be torn down. Rates raised again, getting expensive and money not being put back into the park ($30 with Good Sam discount for 30 amp electric and water – no sewer, cable was terribly fuzzy). Permanent sites make up about 50% of the park and some need to be cleaned up. An old Airstream trailer had green mold growing on top, a 5th wheel covered on top with blue tarp, lots of old chairs, junk, etc. sitting outside of others. When we arrived the park was full to overflowing. A 45 ft motorhome and large 5th wheel got stuffed into too small spaces. Gives the impression the park owners are more interested in $$$ then trying to provide a clean, pleasant park. Still, considering the alternatives in the area we would stay here again but only as an overnight stop. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The campground is beautifully situated on a lake. Sites are gravel and rather spacious. Each site equipped with grill. The showers/restrooms are old and could use some refurbishment. But they were clean. Wi-Fi worked well. Park has lots of nice big trees which are full of Spanish moss. All in all a beautiful park with reasonable rates, hence the eight points I give this park. This is a gem... little campground run by the county and right on the lake. Has it's own fishing/boat dock and is adjacent to a free boat launch ramp. The sites are tucked in amongst mature trees. Gravel surfaces to park on. The pull-through spots are tight, we had a 30' motorhome, and it was OK, but might be tough in a 40' or more unit. Call ahead for a reservation, and ask for a waterfront spot. Bring your boat, or not. No sewer hookup, but if you're here for a long weekend, no problem, just dump on the way out. Before bringing a large RV into the park, I suggest that you call call ahead as there are only a few sites that a large motorhome could fit into. Nice shaded and quaint park located on Lake Talquin. Very quiet. There were lakefront lots available, but I was happy on the interior location where you could pull through. This is a small and clean park. Bathrooms were old but functional with plenty of hot water. The proprietor was friendly and came the next morning to collect the money for the stay, which was $54 for two nights. This is a Leon County park. It is located next to a boat launching ramp. We felt safe here. The hookups were in good order. They have a septic dump to empty on your way out, but no individual sewer hookups. They also provided internet access. We have already made reservations to stay again when we go to the FSU games. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

$35 must be what the market will bear. The location is great, just off I-10 on Capitol Circle west of town. The park is at least 40 years old. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. There are many sites for overnight camping, all pullthrough, grass, full hookups, and level. There are many long motorhomes here now. The perimeter with shade is for long-term campers. This is not a very good park but it was late and I was tired of driving so I stayed there for a few days. I was flying back to Michigan in a few days and did not want to have to winterize my coach again so I did not connect to their sewer or water - I used their public facilities. The Wi-Fi worked fine. The baths were dirty and needed to be renovated - that's is true of the entire park. There were many permanent residents living in travel trailers some of which did not appear to be employed as they were there all day long. If you are just passing through and need a place to hookup for the night this place might be ok - other than that, I'd find somewhere else to camp. It's probably better than a freeway rest area or a Walmart parking lot but not by much - lol. At $35 a night this is not a very good value. However, I cannot fault the folks working there as they were most pleasant and courteous. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Although the Woodall's advertisement claimed 62 sites, they only had one "overnight" site and it was by Highway 90 "on the grass, beside the fence". A hole had been cut in the fence for the electrical cord and the water hose. We did not hook up the water because the faucet was bent. No sewer connection was available at this site. The women's restroom was locked and when I got the key and opened it, I decided to pass it up and returned the key. It did not look as if anyone had been in there in a long time. Our "site" was just a grassy area but we were fortunate that it was distanced from the rows and rows of other RV's set up for semi-permanent living by construction workers on a nearby electrical utility project. We ran our fan all night to drown out the noise from the very nearby highway. Despite all this, the lady who registered us was very nice and we had a good night's sleep. This is a very old campground, I remember it from the '60's when it was called Bell's Lakeside Campground. I believe it was safe, we did have electricity, and we had an appointment to have our RV worked on at 7:30 the next morning just two miles down the road. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it. We were very surprised that KOA has not improved this campground. This is the most visibly dumpy campground we have stayed at with no amenities, i.e. cable, WiFi, that are commonly available at most KOA's we have stayed at. This KOA looks like a residential campground with very few travelers, at least when we stayed here. We had no problems other than we did not venture out as there did not seem to be anything to venture out to. As we only stayed 1 night, in and out, that is the only recommendation I would give for this particular KOA. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park staff is very friendly and keep the grounds very clean, considering it's age. They welcome you with fresh desserts, and serve a light breakfast in the morning. Sites are easy to access. We felt that the one night stay was not worth the price, so will only consider staying here again if they lower their rates. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stay in lots of KOAs while on the road. We thought we had stayed in the worst KOA ever, but this made it a tie. Location is good. Although it's adjacent to I-10, it is really about 2 miles around in a loop to get to the campground. Access road is pretty good. Staff was friendly, but really disorganized. All of the roads in the park are a mixture of dirt and beach sand which is somewhat soft. In some spots the roads are just mud. The sites are the same dirt/sand mixture and the dirt gets tracked into the coach. Electric was okay. Since the guy next to us had 3 filters on his hose, we decided to use our on-board water. The sewer connections are just slabs of cement with a cement plug. The dump station was inoperable. There are lots of KOA Kabins, and port-a-potties at the end of each row (like in a construction zone). It appears the sewer system is failing. Many of the campers seem to be occupied by full time occupants; and those campers are mostly in awful shape. The one next to us even had his Frosty the Snowman decoration up in April. Some appear to have been abandoned. Another had a wet recliner on a deck along with an old freezer. It looks like the owner and family live in a number of trailers at the end of the property. There is a "stage" which is an old TT with the slide out removed and the "stage" lined with old tarps. Picnic tables are dirty and broken. Lots of old burned charcoal and dog waste laying around. Ants everywhere. The pool was empty. There is a playground which we did not check out. No where to walk your dogs except down to the swampy west end of the campground. The tent area was just a field with a couple of faucets in it. The folks at the KOA headquarters never inspected this place. The park looks pretty good as you go by on I-10, but it is a mess. We could not get out fast enough in the morning. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is not the best campground, but it sure beats nothing. If you have kids, I found there is nothing for them to do. The map says there is a game room on the far end of the CG, but we could never find it. The road, sites, parking, pet walks, all can not be differentiated from one another. The laundry doubles as Wi-Fi lounge without seating. Breakfast waffles were good, staff nice, owner was absent. It is a great place to stay for the night, but I would not plan on more than one night. Shade was available, but not for my site. Signs to CG very confusing as they took us 2 miles down a dirt road full of potholes before we found another sign that indicated that the CG was nowhere near the GPS location. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park is adequate, but tired. It is odd that some things are very shabby, and some show an attempt to clean up. The pool is a good size, but was murky. The sandy-dust in our site was very bothersome. Many trees were shedding limbs that could have damaged RVs. There are lots of what appears to be long-term residents. Either the campground has been allowed to deteriorate, or it is in the process of being brought back. This is a $20 campground that is over-priced. The clubhouse looked nice, but we did not use it. There is no Wi-Fi or cable. It is an OK one night interstate stop, but does not meet the KOA quality we have come to expect. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Grass Sites, big enough for a big rig and toad. Escort to site, very friendly at front desk. Dirt Road, so go slow. Just a couple of things, on the koa.com website they stated they had wifi and cable, they do not! Our site in the back had 20/30/50 amp, ample space for our 2 BIG dogs to nose around. Just be careful of the fire ant hills. I stepped in one that was in the middle of a bunch of clover. Air Channels not bad, but few, and gets scrambled is you have a neighbor with satellite. Check in/out very flexible. The few rules they have they don't enforce. They do offer a light breakfast and afternoon coffee/tea. If you have allergies to dust/mold stay away. And the sewer was odd, when you look down the pipe you could see stagnant water, but when you dumped the level didn't change. Very odd, and very unsanitary in my opinion. Way overpriced for what you get. Should be $20 tops not $42 (before KOA discount). Would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice pull through sites are level. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only thing I didn't like was the sand on some of the sites. Although your RV is parked on hard dirt ,the area next to your RV is sand and dirt and makes for a mess in the RV. I would stay here again, though, as it was quiet and good for overnight. This park is very nice, but needs some attention paid to the interior roads, which are very rough dirt. Parking pads were un-level grass. The showers were very clean and up to date. On the plus side, a complementary continental breakfast was included during our visit. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Site are level and office help friendly. That's about it. No Wi-Fi at your site. No cable. Roads are dusty. Way overpriced even for a KOA for what you get. Don't let the 2 mile drive fool you. You end up right next to I-10 and all the road noise. Sites are not taken care of at all. Weeds over 2 feet tall abound. We are on our way home and it was convenient. Will stay someplace else next time even thought it's just for one night. Why don't campground owners understand that Wi-Fi at your site is important? Having it in the office is very inconvenient. In addition to lugging our computer up there, we would also have to bring our printer, road atlas, huge campground book, etc. that we use for investigating various areas. We feel there should be a different designation for Wi-Fi available at your site vs. in the office or overheated laundry room. This should not be a KOA or else they should lower their prices significantly. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Friendly staff in office, nice guest lounge, free breakfast. Wi-Fi only good in the welcome center. Grass had not been mown for for at least a week. Sites were not raked. Good place for an overnight at $20. For $40 I expect much more. Sites and roads are all dusty dirt. In the rain this would be a mud hole. Access is great with plenty of room for turns. Sewers are the old hole in the ground type. There are many very old and unkempt permanent rigs. We're talking rags hanging in place of curtains, acres of mildew, and been here since the 50s. Close to highway but quiet enough with air on. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed three nights. A very peaceful stop on our extended trip west. While the roads were dry and dusty, it gave the park a nice "country" feel that I found very relaxing. Probably I would not have been so happy if it rained. We had Belgian waffles for breakfast and fresh-made baked goods in the afternoon. During our stay the staff put out pie, brownies, cake and cookies. There was a nice sized book exchange. While there was no cable TV and only an internet hot spot, our satellite TV and Virgin mobile internet worked pretty well at our site, which was level and shaded. I was able to do some bird watching around the perimeter of the park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We arrived at this park after a heavy rain. The roads are not paved or graveled and were very muddy with lots of big puddles. Fortunately our pull through site did not have any puddles. The pool was dirty and green and the promised breakfast was not set up at the appointed time. The sun came out for a few hours on our second day here and someone in a big truck started driving around pulling a drag trying to smooth the road. All he accomplished however was to spread the mud over all the dry spots making the roads even worse. We did use the laundry room though and it was nice and spacious. If you have pets be careful as there are fire ants at this park. We felt the staff was a little distant and not especially friendly. The park might be a nice place to stay in the spring or summer but we wouldn't stay there in the winter again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for one night on our way south. We were a little disappointed, the wireless internet is only available if you go to the game room. There is no cable so I guess you are OK if you have satellite. The roads are not paved, nor are the sites. We wouldn't stay again, it would be extremely messy if it rained, it was cold so walking to the game room was difficult in the dark, the uneven dirt was hard and lighting was poor. They could use some improvements. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Yes, the roads are dusty and uneven, but it was dry when we were here. Rainy weather would make it muddy, however, that being said, it is a very nice campground. They are very accommodating. There's a great laundry, pool, shade, and playground. It's about 26 miles to "downtown" Tallahassee. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed at the Tallahassee East/Monticello KOA and were very pleased overall. The cabin was clean. The club house is relaxing and well kept. Hands-on owners are overly friendly and easy to deal with. Nice pool and wonderful playground! They also offer a free breakfast daily. Very pleased; will stay again. This is not the place to camp in inclement weather or arrive after sundown. We did both. The mud was awful almost got stuck twice. Finding the assigned site in the dark would have been impossible without following the caretaker who was on an ATV. None of the sites seem level and auto levelers in the mud seemed pointless. The daylight revealed 3" mud ruts behind the tires of the motorhome. The pool was dark green almost as though they were going to turn it into a cement pond. A friendly staff can not make up for a poorly maintained facility. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for a week, it is not as bad as some of the comments make it look. Yes the streets are dirt and the sites are dirt. But, you have to realize that dirt is all there is here, you're in the panhandle of Florida. The staff were helpful and the park was clean. The bathrooms were old but clean and the laundry was excellent. Don't believe that you are going to find any parks on I-10 that are any better. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The couple at check in were the only good thing this park has going for it. Wi-Fi did not work at all. Thank God it didn't rain the mud would have been unbearable. Roads were very rough. This is the worst KOA I have stayed in since going on the road 10 years ago. Next time I will forgo convenience for travel and stay in Tallahassee and drive to Monticello. We paid more tonight than we have for a long time at a KOA and it is way down the list in quality. Dirt roads ... very little grass ... mostly sandy sights. When we arrived, they were trying to gather up leaves for disposal, except they were creating a huge cloud of dust which covered everything in the way the wind was blowing. Facilities are clean, but aged. Very close to the interstate highway, so road noise is quite evident. Would not stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I set up a 3 month extended stay with the owners of the park and paid for my first month. Eleven days into the stay the owners came to me and told me that they do not like to rent the cabins by the month because they make more money off of them by the day and that I had to leave the cabin. She offered to move me into what they call park models. This single wide was nice but nearly twice the price. The other was a 20 foot trailer that had been left open to the elements and had a smell of mold. I told the owner that I was happy where I was and had paid her. If she wanted me to leave she should refund me for the entire month. The next day her son tried to hand me an envelope with an unknown amount of cash and told me to leave. I agree with others here; go anywhere else, this place is not worth your time or money. The Wi-Fi only works in the office; you can not get it anywhere else. It is actually hanging on a pole that is leaning over with a Tupperware dish (that has partially fallen off) to protect it from the rain . The pool is drained and full of black water. They say they will refill it in the spring. The lake is actually a run off pond and looks highly polluted. They wont let you swim in it, but they still post pictures of people catching fish in it. There are so many run down trailers that look like they have been there for years that the place seems to be like a cheap trailer park. I never felt safe and I am glad I am gone. They claim they have 24hour security, but I never saw any security patrols in the time I was there. We camped here in a Campground Cabin.

We pulled in and then pulled right out. What a dump. Can't believe this is a KOA. First the sign says it's .2 of mile off the highway. It's actually more then 2 miles off the highway. It's sand , mud, overgrown grass, run down campers. Wife did not feel safe staying so we left. Lots of junky campground on the Route 10 corridor. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is a bunch of sites scattered in the woods on sand and mud. The sites are fairly level by luck not by design. The hookups are a long way from where they need to be if you don't want to unhook your tow car. It took me 35' of water hose to connect. The sewer was impossible. The bathrooms may be clean but are very old and used. The swimming pool was empty. This was also very very old. The dog walk was mud and puddles. This is another old, overpriced KOA. They should lower the prices and forget the afternoon tea. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A nice park right on the interstate. Not really in Tallahassee despite the name. Heavily wooded with mature trees and lots of shade. Mostly pull through sites on grass with gravel roads. Sites are more spacious and farther apart than at most KOAs. A good number of long-term residents. Wi-Fi service is slow and limited pretty much to the office-game room area. Office hours are somewhat limited and we found that an inconvenience as they were closed when we arrived in the early afternoon. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Camped here 6/9 & 6/10/06. Upon arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful. Had our reservation in order and had cookies, tea, coffee available at no charge. Campground was clean (although some construction is going on at the back of the property)as were the Bathrooms, showers,pool and laundry facilities. The office had a Kampstore with a nice selection of things you would need including Videos for rent. Game room and common areas for watching TV and reading were available. Would stay here again. Entry road wide and well paved. Buildings and area well cared. Interior road is narrow with broken paving. Gravel sites. Some level sites in rear with ok spacing. Mostly drive-through. Front sites narrow and sloping. Site 61 was 9 inches low front, 5 inches low on right. Power good, cable weak and snowy, water pressure low. Good location for overnight. An attractive park in an attractive area: lots of trees. We were parked in the front of the park which gave us adequate southern sky exposure for satellite reception. Free WiFi was moderately fast and broad enough for streaming music most of the time. However, it would occasionally freeze up or knock us off. Owner friendly and helpful. The park was very scenic, in the pine trees, and the landscape was nice around the buildings. The staff was friendly if you initiate a conversation. Those were the only positives. The rates were high, being $46 without discounts. The roads are very tight for the longer motor homes and the paved road was narrow and deteriorated. The lots were very cramped,all gravel with no patios. With the awnings out, they would almost touch the neighboring rig. We would not stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stopped here for two days. This is a nice park. Management was very friendly. The gravel sites are level, park is quiet but not very private between sites. Looks like the park is maintained regularly. We visited the Antique Car Museum next door, well worth a visit. A little pricey even with Good Sams discount but you don't have much to choose from if you want to visit Tallahassee. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I stay at this park about right times a year for two weeks or more each stay. The staff is for the most part excellent. I have lots of friends that are permanent residents there and we like to get together for activities outside our campers. The management is a bit strict on noise so we really get rained on during our fun times. The restrooms are always clean and now they have added heaters which make it nice in the winter. The only thing left to do is add AC for those hot Florida summers. This is a must do if they want to get a higher rating. The price is a bit high compared to other parks given the spaces are not paved and the restrooms are very small and not climate controlled. Most parks has large shower/restroom facilities with vanities and are climate controlled for around $20-$30. I will be back but will continue to suggest improvement. We stayed here for a few nights while traveling west. The sites are level and clean. The utilities work well. The WiFi was fast at times, but was slow most of the time. There is a lot of construction on the main road at the entrance to this park, but it didn't cause us any problems with getting in or out. We chose this park again, based on ease of access to I-10 on our trip East. The park is very easy to find coming off of the freeway, but the current road construction at the entrance makes entry and exit a bit challenging. The road construction looks to be about a month from finishing, then access will be much improved. The park has good paved interior roads. The great majority of spaces are pull-through which makes site access very easy. Staff and management were very helpful with directions to services we needed locally. Cable TV worked very well and channel selection was very large. Wi-Fi signal was strong and bandwith was good. There was no road noise from the main road in front of the park or from the freeway. Pool was clean, but we didn’t use it because of rain. Restrooms and showers were clean and spacious enough for changing. Daily rate was with a Good Sam Discount. There a lot of long term residents here, probably because of Florida State University being in Tallahassee. Availability here may be limited depending on the sports season. We would stay here again if we came to the Tallahassee area again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a regular stop for me I usually go there 5 or 6 times a year. The people are like family. I have made several friends that live there permanently. Great folks. The only thing that keeps this park from a 10 is the tiny restrooms/showers. They are always cleaned 5-6 times a day and really well kept. They just don't have AC in the summer. I prefer the larger showers with vanity and mirrors. This is adequate but would be super if they were larger and climate controlled. I definitely recommend this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is basically a residential home with about a dozen RV sites in the front yard and a very long back yard with a central drive straight through to the back and a row of RV sites on each side. Sites are pull through's and the park and sites were easy to negotiate with our larger RV, although park road was very rough; they need new blacktop very badly. Very nicely kept and landscaped around the house and pool, which was spotlessly clean albeit very small for a campground, approximately 15' wide by 28' long. Nice little community room and the bathrooms and laundry room were clean and well kept. Far enough from Interstate 10 and access road to make for no highway noise. Internet was slow and flaky, basically unusable. The sites were very close together and your only view was directly into the side of the RV sitting beside you. I expect to be packed in like a sardine in the middle of winter in South Florida, not in Tallahassee. Very nice woman in the office. I thought it was expensive for the amenities and lack of view / small site sizes. Price given is after Good Sam discount. This park is fine for an overnight stay but if in the area for longer I would probably stay elsewhere. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Great shaded park, might be a little tough for those seeking a satellite signal, but the park has cable TV. Quick, friendly check-in, site was pull-through with full hookups. Spaces are a little tight but this was an overnighter so I didn't mind. The only complaint was the entrance was nearly blocked off due to the road construction taking place out front. Entrance is difficult and exit requires that you really pay attention or you could turn into a construction area and not be able to exit or turn around. I walked the entrance to make sure I knew what to do before I committed. But I would gladly stay here again and hopefully the city will finish their construction soon. Nice RV park close to the highway with easy access yet secluded and quiet. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We needed an overnight close to Interstate 10 and this was the perfect place. It was easy to find off the highway and easy to get in to. The staff was very friendly and ready for us when we arrived. Most sites are pretty close together but for an overnight, this did not cause a problem. After a long day of driving, we enjoyed the pool, which was clean and well kept. We would definitely stay here again should we be in the Tallahassee area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Even with construction on Hwy. 90 and a rough entrance (not the park's fault), this is a wonderful operation. I disagree with another reviewer in that we found sites freshly graveled and relatively level. It's quiet, shady grounds are spectacularly clean, as is the small well kept pool. Big rig sites have sufficient turning room, with comfortable entry and exit. Some may find the sites rather close together, especially sites for smaller campers and 5th wheels. Most importantly, management shows pride of ownership and the permanents, instead of sheds, tents and out buildings, have lovely patio set ups and tiers and tiers of foliage and flowering container plants. No playground equipment, but a most hospitable park. We absolutely will stay here again and recommend them to all except folks with small children. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at this park several times over the past 5 years. There have been no improvements in the park in that time. This time there was a noticable deterioration in the roads and a lack of trimming of the scrubs to keep them from scraping your RV while making some tight turns. Road construction on US 90 (Mahan Drive) makes entry and exit from the park difficult and unpleasant (read very rough) at this time. This is not the fault of the park, but is a feature of the park until the road construction is completed. The price of an overnight is not compatible to the amenities of this park. The price has increased considerably over the years while the amenities have deteriorated. We camped here in a Motorhome.

There was road construction at the entrance, but there was good signage to help locate where to turn. Registration was quick and friendly; the office is registration only, not a store. Purchasing any incidentals would require driving to the nearby Publix. The campground is close to I-10 for easy access but far enough away that there is no traffic noise. The campground is wooded and is far enough away from town to be able to see some stars. The sites have quite a bit of slope. It took all the boards we had to get the front end high enough to get close to level. The sites are not really set up to accommodate remaining hooked up to a towed vehicle. The sites are very close together. We noted one awning that went past the neighbor's hook ups. There is room for everyone's slideouts, however. There are two uni-sex bathroom/shower combinations. They were relatively clean, given the fact that they are uni-sex use. I personally prefer the men and women bathrooms being separate with the separate uni-sex shower rooms that other campground have. Cable is strong with plenty of channels. Wi-Fi has weak signals and frequent drops but is usable. Just save your work! There is a large doggie area; however it is not fenced (could be very easily) so there is no opportunity for off-leash running. There are waste bags provided all around the campground, so there is no excuse for not picking up! There is no playground equipment or area for children to play, and the pool's rules include 'no toys' which appears to be targeted specifically at children. I would not consider the campground 'family friendly.' We would stay here again for an over nighter if Tallahassee was an overnight destination. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at 3 RV parks within Tallahassee over the last 6 years, and this one is by far the nicest one. It is right off the Interstate (1/2 mile) at the eastern side of town, with paved roads and level sites. The landscaping is pretty, and the grounds are kept up consistently. Sites are gravel. There are 2 restrooms with showers, always clean, near the office area. We enjoy the proximity to Publix across the road. It is the first park we choose when visiting family in the city. When I made our reservation. I specifically asked if we would have to unhook our toad, and they said no. When we checked in, I asked again if we could get to our site without unhooking, And again was told yes. We couldn't make the first turn out of the office area without unhooking. Near the highway and that's the highlight of it. Only stayed one night but it is cramped with barely enough room to extend my slides without hitting my neighbors awning. If sat TV is required, ask for front sites. Current road construction makes leaving the park and getting back on the highway very difficult. Rate is with Good Sam discount. Pull through sites are long but extremely narrow. We had no one beside us or it would have been very uncomfortable. The rules say no one can use the washer or dryer in their coaches. I found this offensive as I believe what I do inside my coach is not their business as long as it does not hurt anybody else. This price was with a AAA discount. This park is under some large trees and is nice enough, just not worth $40 to overnight. The access roads are tight is a couple spots, but the sites are more than long enough. The machines in the laundry room were all rusty. We have stayed here many times visiting family in Tallahassee. The staff are friendly. Highway construction has been going on forever; but it's really not that big a deal. The Publix is across the street, Walmart down the road. This is on Capitol Circle east of town, and just off I-10, so easy access to everything. The grounds are well-kept, pool clean. The Wi-Fi signal strength is the biggest pro – rock solid with generous bandwidth. Although clean and tidy, this park is anything but Big Rig Friendly with extremely narrow, pothole strewn roadways and unreasonably sharp corners requiring us to back up in order to make the radius of the turn. This was never a destination type campground, but we have seen it go down hill in the past year. They no longer gravel the sites and they are going back to dirt, which means dust or mud depending on the weather. I think the owner is just doing as little as possible until he can sell the land. A very wonderful park to stay at! We only needed one night, so we called ahead and paid. Friendly reservation staff, clean restrooms, lovely shaded grounds with big trees. This looks to have been a private yard converted to RV use, and was very clean and neat. One small downside was that the pool did not allow ANY toys, which was a sad note for our kids. Another was that the grounds keeper staff was a bit rude. Very clean and safe place to stay, and very easy to find. Something that seems a real shame with almost every place we stayed at in the U.S. was the lack of recycling. It was very hard for us, after years of putting bottles and cans into recycling, to just throw them all away. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We really liked this park. It has an easy access to Highway 10 but is far enough away that there is no traffic noise. There is highway construction on the road to the park, but this will be temporary. It is close to a grocery and other public services. The interior roads are asphalt, the sites are pea gravel, and all that we saw are pull through. There are lots of tall pine trees that give the park a very nice woodsy feeling. We have stayed at parks in this area, and this one would be our choice for future visits. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The easiest to get to from I-10 in the Tallahassee area. The pull through gravel sites, were narrow and mostly shaded. There is a Publix grocery about a block away, otherwise drive back to Tallahassee. Football season weekends are full and 50amp pull throughs can be full anytime. Best to call ahead. We are local and have visited the in-laws when they stayed here so I knew what to expect. I really don't have any complaints. The sites are a little tight and the roads a little narrow. Staff are friendly and keep the grounds clean. Wi-Fi was a little lacking. The first night I could not get on any of the three wireless access points (WAPs), but the other nights I was able to connect at 11 Mbps, which is better than most others I've tried. If we had our awning out it would have touched our neighbors slide on their coach. This is not a comfortable park for outdoor activities at your site since the sites are so close together. Good for one night, would not stay longer, and I thought the discount rate of $36 was a bit expensive given the fact that this is a very basic park. We were also very frustrated that the small pool closed at 7PM. When we arrived at 3PM our thermometer was reading 110 degrees, so we waited until the sun went down a bit and we had eaten dinner to go for a swim. There is never a lifeguard on duty, so I don't see the reason for closing the pool so early. The two shower rooms were clean, but not air conditioned so very hot. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The sites are very close together. We had a site down by the road and really had to level ourselves with the jacks and dumping the air bags. The narrow roads are only 1 rig wide. One has to take turns either going in or leaving. My biggest gripe is the electrical hookups are 12 inches off the ground in a box. I have bad knees and had to get down on the ground to hook up. I had to get the wife to help me up. I don't know why they are so low. When you pay, you sign a note stating "No Refunds". An ok site, but not great. Be careful with your rig if you are over 40 feet. This is a decent place to stay especially if you are located in the back part of the cg. These are larger sites decent road access and more level. The site that we had was near the entrance and it was a pull thru, but it had a drop off in the front making it impossible to level rig as the truck tires kept spinning on wet grass and mud. We could not put out the slide either because we could not reposition the RV due to wet ground. We had to wait until another MH had to disconnect the towed before attempting to pull into their site. Very tight corner and narrow roadway. All in all the CG. is very nice for a stay but I would prefer to be in the back section especially if it had rained. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I requested a pull thru site- where I could keep the toad connected. What a joke!! The site they assigned me is located right beyond a very sharp curve, and is extremely narrow. I had to disconnect toad, and even with that I could not get in this site w/out hitting either my neighbors slide or the wood support of the electrical pedestal. Being a good neighbor, I took out the wood, lost some paint on the bottom of one of my bays. The worker in the office must have NEVER driven a mh, to think a 40'er would fit. OK for big rigs, but the spaces are very narrow (as in, awnings and slides practically touching each other). The photos on the website are taken on the park behind the office. There are a handful of spaces between the office and the highway. We were assigned one of those spaces even though we had reserved over 2 weeks in advance. When we saw the contrast, the likely road noise, the inconvenience for the bath house or laundry facilities, and complete void of wooded ambience, we requested either a further reduced rate or to be relocated. We were relocated to another site that was much more tolerable. The sites were not paved and would have been a real mess with much more rain than we experienced. We were here in winter, so no there was opportunity to use the pool. The open grassy area was good for walking our dogs, but we had to pick our way past several areas left by other dogs without owners picking up. We'd love to encourage all park owners to strictly enforce leash and waste pickup by guests to assure that the park remains pleasant for everyone: even other dog owners! Restroom facilities were moderately clean and the laundry room was good. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Easy access from I-10. Once in the park, there are several sharp turns to make but just follow the signs. There were 40' Class A's pulling toads that had no problem. You just need to take your time. Very quiet park, staff excellent. Laundry to wash/dry $1.00. I had to use a 50 amp adapter to plug into electric. Fuel and grocery store .2 mile from park. We would stay here again. Big rigs over 38' or so ( especially towing a toad or larger 5th wheels) be careful turning the corner in front of the office upon arrival. There's a fence on the left and a tree on the turn you'll need to miss! Quiet park located off I-10. Friendly staff. Nice place to spend the night or a weekend. Spaces are pretty close together - maybe 6' after the slides are out. Level graveled parking spots. I'd stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park is conveniently located near I-10 on the east side of town. The spaces are long, level and easy to get into with the largest rig. There is a shopping center across the street for food and other items. The wifi did not work well even though there were multiple antennas. It is a good overnight stop. We would stay there again. We stayed here two nights but we would have left had we not paid for two nights on arrival. This is not a pet friendly park. They have 8 General Policy Rules and Twelve Pet Policies. They only accept "inside" pets. The animal must be kept indoors at all times except when being walked. The other policy that would prevent us from coming back is washers and dryers are not permitted. If you have pets who don't mind being cooped up inside and you don't need to use your washer/dryer, this is a nice park. The roads are narrow but navigable. Our site wasn't terribly level but we could work with it. The park is very convenient to I-10 and grocery store. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed for 2 days & even had a local tire company (Neece Tires) come out and change a tire on the trailer for a fee, of course. The roads are a little narrow, but they caution you to "turn wide" at the curves. The restrooms & laundry are clean; the sites are gravel with some grass between sites. Free wi-fi (excllent), free cable; pool and lots of shade. I can't think of anything else we would need. They do allow pets, but we couldn't put the dog cage up outside the trailer. If the attitude of management was my only guide for a rating, this place would be a '10'. With other considerations...entry was slow,the road is fine for your motorhome while towing. The problem is that it is narrow and if anyone is blocking...it will back up as it did with us. So, check-in was a 3. Once you get to your site...they are very narrow. There is very little space between sites. Site is a 5. Shade is everywhere. Do not expect to be able to use your satellite. Cable is very good. Lots of channels. Utilities is a 9. They ask you to not use a washer/dryer on your coach while there? I'll give that a 2. That's how I got to a 7. This place was okay for an overnight stop. I question why anyone would describe this as a destination. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We've over nighted here several times. We never really liked the park but the choices in Tallahassee are slim. This time Tallahassee RV was full so we tried Big Oak on Hwy. 27 north of I-10. We always stay at this park when we are in Tallahassee. It is very convenient, right off of I10. It's a very well run park. The people that own the park are from New Zealand and couldn't be nicer or more helpful. The big drawback is if you need the restroom facilities. They are clean and neat, but there are only two combo shower/toilet areas. They do have 3 washers and dryers and a nice clubhouse area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

If you are staying in the Tallahassee area, this is the campground to stay at. It is very well managed with lots of flowers and nice grass at each site. There is a large area dedicated for pets with plastic bags on several posts in the area. The sites are long and level, saw several 45 footer easily fit in the sites. The manager is very friendly and cares about the campground. The pool is a little small, type you would find in your back yard, but it was 9 feet deep at the deep end. The campground is very quite without numerous long term campers living in older units. WiFI worked great inside the motorhome and cable TV is also at each site. Both are free. I would call this campground a hidden jewel in the Tallahassee area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Park is conveniently located off the freeway and on a main road that leads to the downtown area. Manager was very friendly. Site was level side to side but crowned in the middle that caused a little problem while unhooking. Sites were very wide, gravel pad with grassy areas in between. The restroom/shower looked clean, but it was a single, so only one person could use them at a time. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Staff very friendly, nice park, level gravel sites, beautiful landscaping, good voltage, water pressure fluctuates but was not a problem. Only real drawback is they don't let you use your washer/dryer in your rig. Great restaurant less than half a mile away named Creekside Grill. We would stay here again. My 43' coach made it a challenge but I fit into a space with the car attached. The grounds were very well maintained and it was great access to I-10. No problems or issues other than you should be sure to tell them what your driving. We were in #41. It was quite a pretty park with lots of well manicured flowers on the property. Older park, tight turns and narrow site. Water pressure sucked at 28PSI. The positives are Wi-Fi strong, good tasting water, clean reasonable small laundry. Bathrooms are clean but dated. Land scaping was very nice. Sites were level, but small gravel. Fairly quiet. Overnight stay, it is OK. Tall pines over some sites. Go to Maclay State Garden (5 miles) and the Tallahassee Auto Museum which is awesome (ask for the unadvertised senior special rate and save $3.50) Would stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very convenient to the interstate, the campground was attractive and the landscaping very nice near the office. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The biggest negative was the narrow sites. You had to walk on your neighbor's site to hook up anything. The slide out went right to the edge of your site. This is a good overnight campground but would not be a "destination" type campground at all. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A nice place, walked in cold w/ easy access to interstate, far enough away to escape the traffic noise. Friendly staff at desk, but no escort to site. Cornering was very tight indeed for me w/ 35' camper and truck. Saw incoming neighbor struggle w/ 40'+ motor home. Sites were narrow, so my slides overhung the next site. Hookups (esp sewer) were w/i a few feet of neighbor's picnic table. The long term sites might have been better, but can't see staying long at site I used (# 9). Didn't use the wifi, but loved the catv. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very clean and well-maintained. The hosts are pleasant and accommodating. Unlike some parks, the hosts do enforce the park rules. This is the reason the park always looks manicured and cared for. Be aware that the park prohibits use of RV washers and dryers. A laundromat is available. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Turns are tight, but we saw a 42 foot RV navigating without problems, nor did we have problems. We have lots of family in Tallahassee so we have found a new "home" for our visits. This is our second time at arriving at this park without notice and getting a good site, the park is really beautiful and well maintained, flowers grow in abundance and the place has an old English garden feel to it, The management are extremely friendly and helpful, the whole site is in a wooded area and peaceful setting with very good high speed wi-fi, if you need groceries there is a very good store within walking distance, overall this park is one I would recommend to anyone who needed a few days rest in peace and quiet. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Don't bother with this campground. Half the sites are permanent but when you call especially on a "game" weekend they are always full. It doesn't matter if you call 9 months in advance they are full! Half the time they never answer the phone. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The previous posts are pretty much on the mark. The camp sites are very close. We were not able to fully extend our awning. The power was very poor, 110 down to 108 at times. Our system shut off three times for weak power. Gravel pad but level. The grounds were very nicely kept and the staff was friendly. This is a ok overnighter, but not a destination... We stayed from a Friday to Sunday. This campground was very clean, neat, pretty and QUIET. Children are allowed, but it didn't seem like the kind of place where I'd feel comfortable letting my kids be kids. Maybe football weekends are a bit looser and noisier. The staff was very nice and helpful. The pull through sites are very adequate in length; room enough for vehicles in front and back of the space. The pool was small, had a lot of rules, but was very deep. The shower/bathrooms were clean, but small--about the size of your home bathroom. Campground is in a very good location 1/2 mile south of I-10 and near Publix and a small strip mall. I would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is immaculate, beautifully manicured grounds, all pull-through sites, towering shade trees throughout, friendly and extremely helpful campground management, conveniently located off I-10 and our favorite RV park thus far. Diesel fuel near entrance with public shopping and hospital/medical care nearby. We will definitely return to this location. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very convenient park. The management is very friendly and helpful. They are most helpful to assist you in registration, suggestions, etc. The park is very attractive. The sites and not large, but very adequate and meet the needs for a few days. The flowering bushes were at their peak and made for a beautiful facility. Reservations are highly recommended for the busy times of the year. The park is fully booked most weekends. We will return if we are ever in the area again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We really liked this park. The staff were extremely friendly and the facilities are very nice. The laundry is cheap ($1 a load) and their wifi coverage is excellent. We couldn't get satellite reception where we were, but they did have cable, though a small channel selection. The pool was closed while we were here. Location is excellent, with quiet sites off the road and easy access to the highway and downtown. While we were here, we met a few people serving on the Florida State Legislature, staying here while it is in session. They were very welcoming and thanked us for spending our money in their state. We stayed here for 3 days and this campground filled up every night. We were not asked to read or sign any rules but we do not travel with pets. This campground is close to I10 as well as a very nice Publix Market & golf driving range/par 3 course. It is also convenient to the attractions in Tallahassee ( capitol, Mission San Luis, Antique car museum, etc ) The sites are close together & it looked like some people were having difficulty in getting level. Most people who stayed overnight didn't even unhook as the sites are big enough to accommodate even the largest rig & towed/tow vehicle. The campground is well maintained, WIFI worked well in the rig and it was surprisingly quiet given that it was only 1/2 mile off the freeway. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very clean, very convenient campground that is easily accessible off I-10. The interior roads are good but quite narrow and curvy. Nevertheless, we were able to easily park our 40-foot motor home. We arrived in a hard rain and found that the campground drained well, which can make or break an experience. Nothing says "welcome" like being asked to read and sign a lengthy list of rules as you are registering. There are an even dozen rules pertaining to pets alone. As retired adults, we think we know how to behave with common sense and courtesy, and it's more than a little condescending to be reminded of so many details. You pay your money, yet you feel like you're on probation. The place is clean enough, and certainly a better overnight stop than some of the genuinely iffy places nearby in Perry, FL where we've stayed. We are not overly impressed with Florida anyway; we consider it a way station between Georgia and Alabama. We chose the place because it offered free wi-fi service. As it happens, the wi-fi is a bit iffy. I am able to access the net and receive email, but cannot send email, except by web mail. Next trip through these parts, we'll choose another spot. You may like it, if you are obssessed with rules. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Sites are very close together as is typical for a private park. That's one reason we prefer state parks or COE parks. Very friendly park management. Upkeep on park is very good except for fire ant mounds. Pet policy is a bit anal. For instance, you can't have pet on a chain next to you when sitting out. Must be on a hand held leash. That said, probably one of the better parks in Tallahassee. Rates go up on FSU football weekends. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The park was wonderful and owners were even better. We were extremely late getting there, after 10 p.m. and they could not have been nicer about it. The site was pretty narrow, but we were only there overnight so it didn't matter as much. The restrooms were very clean, although there wasn't any heat and in March it was very chilly in there. Talked to other pet owners that had the same problem. Park is over priced for what you get. One of only two decent RV parks near Tallahassee. Not a destination park, but good for seeing the city. Crowded during FSU football games. Florida state legislators stay here in their motorhomes when legislature is in session. Many trees. Most sites are pull-thru. Some are narrow. There is a laundry, contrary to an earlier review. Rec hall is minimal. Best for self-contained units. Only two bathrooms (combination bathroom & shower). Closest RV park to I-10. Supermarket very near. Management is very friendly. They made room for as many RVs as possible during 2004 hurricane evacuations. We've stayed there twice, in 2004 and 2005. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Overall, a pleasant stay...but this is NOT a place for you if you are not self-contained. There is only one men's room and one women's room, each about 10x6 with one toilet, sink, and shower in that space and that's all there is! Friendly and helpful staff. Sites seemed very narrow, one or two sites in the very back looked like they could be a challenge to level. There are a group of sites up front, we stayed in one of these, I imagine that it would be quieter in the back, as US90 generates a bit of noise. Bath house is small, one toilet and shower for each gender. Rec room is size of standard family room/kitchen combination, and pool looks to be about the size of a standard back yard pool. Laundry facilities are on site (and must be used, no washer dryer use in rigs allowed), and cable TV was included, they have a modem line in the rec room. No playground, no fires, no grills. Good place to go if you have other things to do in TLH, but not a destination in itself. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Owners are upgrading the park slowly with plans for expansion. Supermarket, golf and I-10
close by. Pancake breakfasts on weekends and we noticed that they have a good relationship with the area Deputy. He came through every day we were there and

This is the place if you want quiet. As previous posting stated, the drive in looks like the owner's front yard. Pull thru sites were plenty long. My rig is 31' had Saturn L300 toad. Room enough for another vehicle to park in the space. If you want activities, you have to go into Tallahassee. Owners were very nice. She was out checking things in pouring down rain. Then he was out picking up downed tree limbs while it was still raining. Really take good care of place. Easy access to I-10. We camped here in a camper.

Very friendly staff. Park is very clean and free of road noise for the most part. First impression is not good because as you enter park you are actually driving into the front yard of manager's house and some spaces are in front yard. Most of sites are in the rear. Sites are very close together, approximately 20-25 feet apart. We camped here in a camper.
