Nice campground. I concur with some earlier reviews. This place is very active and very friendly. We got the 'feel' of the place the first 20 minutes we were here. Easy to meet people and always something going on. Coffee and cookies in the morning. Last night there was some music in the club house/community building. The gravel / dirt loops are in great shape and well maintained. Despite the short pads, they were no problem for our 40' RV. I am always concerned when my wheels are off the ground, but no such problem here. Very nice place in the trees. No TV satellite but each site has cable. Cell phone is not great but still doesn't detract from what we consider to be a great place. We will be back! We camped here in a Motorhome.
EXERCISE! EXERCISE! ALERT LEVEL BRAVO! This announcement emanated from a large, 3-headed speaker on a pole near our camp site. After the first two words, I thought I had to jump out of bed and do calisthenics! This was preceded by four fighter jets roaring over head. Makes military types feel at home. Very convivial camp. Regulars served-up a low cost Valentine's breakfast in a great club house. There's a gazebo with a fire going and people talking. Many shaded, roomy sites. Some men were splitting wood for later use, mid-morning. Campers use the rest room / shower in shifts, alternating on the hour for men and women. There are unheated toilet facilities near the office. Free Wi-Fi. Low cost was due to our being in "over-flow" where we had 30 amps and water. Many snow birds do extended stays but reservations are taken. Beautiful camp. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Roads are gravel and most sites have concrete pads, but they are short pads for some big rigs. Nice walking trails around the edges of the park. Back sites are on the bay side. Personnel are nice. Park is usually full with regular travelers in the winter months. Lots of activities going on in the winter. Coffee and cookies in the clubhouse in the mornings during the busy season. Lots of pot lucks and parties in the winter seasons. WiFi access in the clubhouse. Small play area for kids, pool table, shuffleboard table inside. Some exercise equipment in the clubhouse. Lots of fun in the winter months when the park is full. More quiet in the summertime. Right off the base, and close to lots of beach areas. We camped here in a Motorhome.
