We stumbled onto this park because we were aiming for Passport America campground Timber Ridge (which is in the same complex) but no one answered the phone. Matter of fact, the phone recording didn't even identify the number as that of a business, but we drove on into the place anyway. And what pleasant people! This is a pretty place, and while we did not avail ourselves of their amenities (at an extra $4pp), we were impressed with the staff's friendliness and willingness to help us find a spot. The staff allowed as how Horseshoe Trails is applying for PA membership, but don't have it yet. Apparently we weren't the first campers to encounter difficulty with Timber Ridge. We would stay here again in a heartbeat, at a discounted rate. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed here on Coast to Coast rate ($10 + $2 for mandatory Cable). Park was extra clean and staff was most friendly. Many activities in resort. Campground is part of a large resort area with other campground and rental units. A $4 daily per person fee is optional to access main amenities i.e., indoor pool, sauna, spa, exercise room, putt putt and water slide. We were there over Thanksgiving and were treated to a resort-wide dinner in the clubhouse. On site riding stables and several nearby National Forests and wilderness areas. Great place to vacation. We will spend time here in future. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here as Coast to Coast Members. This is a beautiful park. Almost all sites have a great patio/deck, all built by work campers. Beautiful large lodge at top of the hill. The paved roads inside the park are steep but drivable. We walked the park every day we were there. Great exercise. This park is mostly not satellite friendly. But with free WiFi and $2/day cable, not a problem. Verizon cell service marginal. We would certainly stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed there about four years ago under different owners and had a good time, but not this time. I was very disappointed with this stay. The female owner was VERY rude. They charged for full hook up but was having problems with the sewage so we unable to dump for two days but still had to pay the full price. Also they try to charge for every vehicle and every passenger that came in to visit, at a rate of $5.00 each. It was about like paying to stay at a landfill. We will not go back. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We had an extremely poor experience here. The property next door houses a large concrete and steel dog kennel, containing about 25 dogs (I think they are pit bulls). These dogs bark, snarl, and fight all night. We actually broke camp and left at 2 AM the first night, because it was impossible to sleep. To make matters worse, the park manager was unsympathetic to the problem, and refused to make any refund or adjustment, and charged us for the full 3 nights. I would highly recommend to avoid this place, especially for families with children. The dogs are very scary. We camped here in a Tent.

This would be a quiet stay if you are willing to put up with the owner who is in the wrong business. When we called for a reservation for the night, we were told, quote "We do not want overnighters, there is a minimum 3 night stay, if you are planning on staying overnight don't come down our road as you will have to turn around". All this was said in a very unpleasant manner. This is an adult only park with no bath house and no amenities. There are so many more choices in this beautiful area of Georgia. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The owners are the best. We had a very nice time and were treated like family. It is a little hard to get into but well worth the time. We hade a river front site and were pool side. I have a 40ft Motorhome and I fit in just fine. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed three nights at this wonderful RV park that is located only 5 miles from Helen. Our site was on a shady, level concrete pad with a concrete patio area alongside the coach. Surrounding the patio was a wooden deck with benches, a table and a BBQ grill. The site overlooked a private lake, and came with full services and cable TV. There is sufficient privacy from neighboring RVs. The restrooms are modern and spotless. In addition to the Passport America charge of $15 per night, guests must pay $4.00 each per day to Mountain Lakes Resort. This will raise the cost to around $25.00 per day depending upon the length of your stay. However, this park is well worth the price. It has almost limitless diversions including outdoor and indoor swimming pools, a hot tub, steam room, sauna, fitness room, stables and more. There’s also a diner and country store on the premises. This park’s location makes it ideal to visit the northern Georgia attractions including state parks, waterfalls, hiking trails, and so on. We will definitely return next year for a longer visit. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice. Huge property. All paved and wonderful pools. Passport at $15. but add $4. each per day for use of ammenities, and pay for the day you leave also. That was a new wrinkle for me. Cash only. Best to drive in first [empty] and scope out the place for your site. I did it the day before. Then you can go directly to your site when hooked up. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a beautiful campground in the North Georgia mountains. The roads are paved, as are the sites. It is hilly and wooded, but we had no problem with our 40' motor home. Absolutely beautiful. Has much to do, if you wish. Chapel on site for Sunday services. This is one of our favorites! We camped here in a Motorhome.

I spend several weeks a year at this campground and have not had a bad week yet. They are not pet friendly but I don't have a pet and appreciate not having to deal with other people's pets. The layout of the sites can get a little tight when the campground if full but not too bad. I have recommended this campground to many folks and no one has fussed me out yet. The managers, Jo and Jimmy have always been very helpful and friendly. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground has a great playground for kids. However, this campground is not pet friendly. You can have a pet on your campsite, but you must drive the pet outside the front gate to walk him. You can not even walk your pet to the front gate. They are very strict, no walking pets in the campground, and they will not hesitate to nab you on it, and were quite rude to me about it. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Gravel interior roads with lots of dust. Sites are run together and overgrown with grass. Pets not allowed beyond boundary of camp site. Not a place you'd want to spend your vacation at but ok for a night or two. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We chose our own site from many that were available. Our site was level and graveled. WI-FI was available to us because we were close to the office. Resort is very close to Helen, Cleveland, Dahlonega and Gainsville. There is a lot of traffic on the main road but it can be overlooked. Campers should note that the office closes at 3pm but security can deal with registration. We enjoyed our stay and will be back again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped there for two nights and had a great time. The pool was very clean and was a big event for the kids. There were enough things to do at the campground for two days. The only negatives were the cable service was not very clear and one camper's sewer overflowed but was quickly took care of. Everyone was nice and Helen was very close to go tubing for only $3. It was a great two day getaway campground. I was recommend it! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed a week in a motorhome at a full hookup site. Our space was a little cramped and not especially level. Worse, the gravel and grass were worn down and it was mostly just red Georgia clay, which we tracked in when it rained despite multiple floormatts. It's and older park with sections dedicated to full timers (actually nicer than the RV section!!, which is a little unusual). Very convenient to the Alpine town of Helen and plenty of hiking and fishing nearby. There was a little more road noise than we would have cared for too. We camped here in a Motorhome.
