Great park for passing through. Can see the beautiful Toccoa Falls while on campus. Campground is located on the southeast end of a beautiful 1100-acre wooded campus. Sights are all gravel and level. Not much to look at, but the on-campus scenery is nice. Just call the college and make a reservation; pay at the guard-shack. We loved it! We camped here in a Motorhome.
The Depuity has moved. But I won't worry about security. The owner rides her golf cart around a lot. We stayed here 32 days/nights. Very quiet campground. The washers/dryers are a honor ayatem. Just put money in the box. The only complaint is the roads aren't made for big rigs and they have speed bumps. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is really a small campground outside a small town and so far has never been full when I have camped here. It is 3 miles outside of town and about 5 miles from Lake Hartwell. Check-in is simple. Just pick a site, set up and fill in the registration envelope. Although there are no concrete pads to set up on, all the sites are somewhat level and the ground hard enough to support even large coachs with self leveling pads. There is no c-store but LP gas is available. Security is provided by the Deputy that lives here in a mobile home. So far, we have not had any trouble with loud music/noise/parties the few times we have stayed here. For the price ($12/night, $15 for 50 amp) and the view, it is not a bad park at all. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
