We enjoyed this campground. Most sites are lake views. We were at site 100. This entire loop has zero shade. We are staying in the loop right next to it (site 113) in a few weeks and those sites are very shaded. There are only 2 bathhouses in the campground so you either have to take a long walk or drive your car (or bike) to take a shower. However, there are restrooms scattered throughout the park within short walking distance. Bring your water shoes as the lake bottom is very rocky and mucky. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

This is a Corp of Engineers Park. It is not as nice as a lot of others we have stayed in, perhaps because there was only one site that would work for us this trip. They now have 4 or 5 50 amp sites...the one we were directed to was not that nice. We preferred to move on to a 30 amp site with a better view. However, in the heat of the Summer, they DO have 50 amp. You would probably need to call ahead to reserve one. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here one night on a trip back from south Georgia. This park is a US Army Corps of Engineers park. The roads are paved and unusually wide for a campground. When we were there, half of the park was closed for the winter. There were about 60 sites open, and the park was not full. Some of the sites are paved, some are concrete, and half of our double site was small gravel with the other pad paved concrete. We shared a site with some friends. The double site was at least as big as two individual sites. The sites are very private and almost all of the sites are right on the water or at least overlook the water. I thought that was pretty unusual. The playground was OK. There are several small restrooms as the park is pretty big. We did not use them, so I can't comment on cleanliness. The lake level had been lowered some, I presume do to the winter. I did notice that this campground appears to be set-up for fishing. Most, if not all, of the sites had a designated place for parking and many had a second spur that appeared to be large enough for parking a boat trailer. I had never seen a campground that went so far as to add boat parking at many sites. Some of the sites have a steep entrance where a camper had obviously bottomed out (scratches in the concrete). However, each pad appeared to be level. We would camp here again if in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very Nice Campgrounds. Almost every site has water frontage. The only thing I didn't like was there is only one playground for this huge park and is to far away from most of the sites and the road is a little to busy for small kids to ride their bikes to and that is why I only gave them a 8. Please don't forget the kids bikes and if your kids are going to play in the water please make them wear there life jackets. My kids fuss with me about it but you can sometimes walk 100 feet before getting over your head and then sometimes it is only 5 feet. Also remember to bring your ant spray in summer months. The bath houses are clean and have a lot of pressure and warm water but could use some cosmetic updating. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We have camped here four times and I have enjoyed each time. It is a nice well kept campground. The campground is pet friendly and a good overall campground for families. Fishermen should especially like the campground. Many sites have boat trailer parking and many of them you can pull your boat to the shore near your campsite. Most sites are very roomy and easy to get into especially for someone that backs better than I do. The campground is near the city of West Point and not far from LaGrange also. Only draw back would be that it isnt full hookups but there is a dumpsite that will handle two campers at a time. I would recommend this campground and suggest booking a site before arriving because it fills up quickly. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very spacious campground. The bathhouse showers feel great. There is a lot of shady spots. The majority of the sites have water frontage.. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
