A very hospitable and well run, small campground. Extremely pet friendly including a fenced area for dogs. Only a few riverfront sites but a spot to put one's chair and enjoy the river. Even has a clothesline and clothespins for laundry. It would be a ten if it were not near a private airplane landing strip (not heavily used nor offensive) and had better cell phone reception. A little hard to find since local ordinance prohibits roadside signs. Worth the drive. I will return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This little out-of-the-way campground was a refreshing change from our poor experience at Beyond Hope Resort beforehand. We only really needed a place to sleep in our RV, since we visited family during the day elsewhere. River Lake was the perfect choice, with great rates and a friendly staff. No playground or any amenities, but it was close to the lake and a nice, quiet place to stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
