A nicely maintained family oriented park. Nice lakes for fishing and small boats. Convenient for visiting the Bishop Hill Historic Village site. There appeared to be a large number of seasonal rentals. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This looked like a good family type campground. We didn't have a lakeside site, but they looked nice. The site we were in was kind of close. It was very crowded. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a wonderful place. It is in the middle of nowhere so there is no noise. Great view of the stars. The fishing is UNBELIEVABLE. You can't NOT catch a fish. You cast and reel one in. It is THAT easy. The bathrooms were clean but dated. Nothin says good morning like that cold toilet seat either! Plenty of room to maneuver even the big rigs. You can pull through but if the ground is wet they ask you not to. If you had to I doubt there would be a problem. Many sites. Good size. Most with shade. Every site has a fire ring and picnic table. Also, every site has water/electric/sewer. Owners are there often. Staff is extremely friendly. 5 lake/ponds so it's easy to find a nice quite spot. This was our first trip in our pop-up in May of 2004 and we will definately be going back. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
