Quiet park most of the time except friday/saturday nights; They host free concerts 6pm-9pm. Campers are welcomed to stop by the concessions area to listen although you can hear the music through the campground. They have 33 sites with 13 sites being in the front half and 20 sites in the back half with the shower building dividing between the two areas. Concessions stand close by and serves good food also has boat rentals, ice, & wood, etc... Several types of camping are offered at Walnut Point State Park. "Class A" camping areas offer campers use of electric hook-ups and a shower building with flush toilets. In addition, "Class C" walk-in tent camping areas and a group camping area (youth and adult) are available. Drinking water and a sanitary dump station are provided. During cold weather, camp facilities are subject to closure. Campers are reminded they are required to have their primary camping unit with them before they can occupy a site and obtain a permit. Currently, all Class "A and C" campsites are available for reservation. The group camping area and two large picnic shelters are also reservable. Please contact the park office for current information. PET Restrictions are: all noisy, vicious or dangerous animals are not allowed. We enjoy this campground and would reccomend reservations on most good weather weekends as there are only 33 sites (not including walk in tent sites) And the campground fills up fast. We will camp here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Quiet, secluded state park with basic, shady sites. Small lake. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This state park is quite and very well kept! The host are very nice and take pride in their park. There is a covered garbage can in between each site. This is our number one state park! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
