We have camped here many times. This is a great park. The campsites are well spaced and have some privacy. They are almost all level. The park has fishing, swimming and hiking and the hosts are always pleasant. It is generally better maintained than the nearby state parks too. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Fun place to camp! Unlike a lot of campgrounds that are completely mowed, this campground provides a more of a "wilderness" setting and the privacy that goes with it. Site access is quite good and the sites are all perfectly level. All sites are gravel but even in the heaviest rains are well drained. There is a large pond that I've seen some huge bass come out of and a part of it is set up for swimming with a huge sand beach and picnic shelters. Overall miles of hiking rails are available along the river and are well tended. One even has an occupied eagles nest. The hosts are among the nicest I've encountered anywhere. It is about 20 miles from either Champaign or Danville. We camped here in a Motorhome.
