This is a plain vanilla Forest Service campground in the Garden of the Gods Recreation Area inside the Shawnee National Forest in Southern Illinois. Water is available at pump, restrooms are pit toilets (relatively new concrete structures, very clean) no dump station available. Campsites are on a high ridge with good views of the surrounding area from the edge. Loose structure to the campsites allowed easy maneuvering to set up for nice views from our trailer. We were the only ones in the park. Good hiking trails. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
