We camped here overnight. It's a cute little spot, but no playground or pool for the kids. It's a very simple campground that butts up against a very small airport. The owners are local farmers and they own the airport, campground, and a small resaurant that is right next to the campgrounds. There was also a driving range w/automatic golf ball dispenser. The restaurant food was very reasonable and good. There was a flat 20$ per nite fee, no extra for the kids. The restrooms were pretty clean but needed a good "dusting". The owners were very kind people. It was a very "laid-back" campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very peaceful location. Owners were extremely helpful when I rolled in after 2200 hours one night. Campground is a bit rustic but it is a great place to hang your hat for the night. It was definitely worth the five mile trek from I-57. I would stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Nice park, needs more maintenance on interior roads and marking of campsites. Showers are metered. Restaurant on premises too, with good food and reasonable prices. Owners very accommodating to your needs. Open all year. Metered LP is available for long-term stay as well. Phone connection through local phone company. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
