Just spent my first weekend here with the kids in a pop-up trailer. To start, I have to say the restrooms and showers exceed expectations. Very clean and the water was nice and hot. There were a lot of sites that were not level, so you need to make sure when you get one. The beach was nice and the kids loved Cowboy Dave at the saddle barn. It featured horse-drawn hayrides and music while you wait. There were other family activities and the campground host Betty was very friendly. It seems Loop A is the most family oriented, loops B and C are a little rowdier. We would definitely go back again. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
Nice camping experience with just the right mixture of sun and shade at most sites. Mostly
people camping in tents and tent trailers. Fire rings actually have a decent cooking grate which swings out of the way when not in use. Restrooms and showers cleaned at least once per day. Planned activities for kids and lots of other things to do close by. Although some back to back sites have recently been merged into pull-thru sites, I wouldn't consider this campground to be big rig friendly. The roads here are very narrow, with gravel parking pads at right angles to the road. Add a few trees and it can be tight getting even a mid-sized trailer into some sites. Dump station in rear of campground is also in a tight spot. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
