Trees and plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy the weekend. Named after the geodes with their crystalline interiors which can be found in river banks and creek beds. Removing geodes from the park is not allowed, but nearby land owners may sell you some from their privately owned land. The park is just 20 minutes from Burlington which is a nice place to visit the Mississippi River and summertime farmer's and, flea markets. The campground hosts were super accommodating. Gravel sites. We will come back again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Geode is 20 miles from our house. We stay several weekends each month during the camping season. The roads are asphalt and camping pads are gravel. No hookups at the camp sites. Water spigot as you pull in to fill tank and dump station that is easy to get to. Has a play area for the kids at the campground. The park itself is a very nice park with a beautiful lake that offers great fishing. They just built a new beach house and are in the process of building a playground by the beach. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
186 campsites - 96 with electric only. A water spigot upon arrival, and a dump station. Two modern shower buildings. A great state park, 10 miles west of Burlington, Iowa. We camped here in a Motorhome.
