If you like the great outdoors, swimming, fishing, tubing and relaxing by the campfire with a wonderful ocean of stars, this is the place for you! Second time we have been here and love it! Will be going back for years to come! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were a little concerned that there was only one review and it was SO wonderful. The only reason that I gave this a 7 is because it is truly camping. You cannot get cell phone coverage here or any TV on antennae. Satellite is spotty. However it is a beautiful site right on the river. They have canoe trips available. We took the 2 1/2 hour trip and it was a lot of fun. The owners are on site and very helpful. They will pump you out at your site for $20 or you can drive to the dump. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is my family's favorite campground by far! We typically visit only once per summer because it is almost three hours from our house and we need a three day weekend to make it worthwhile. The setting is very wooded and natural it is absolutely beautiful. Over the last few years more and more of the best sites, along the Upper Iowa River, have been taken over by seasonal campers- I don't blame them they are great sites. There is a spring fed swimming lake that they call the pool that is huge! There is a large lodge type building that houses the office, snack shop, recreation area with a pool table and a few games and a limited amount of supplies. You can also rent canoes or inner tubes and they will shuttle you up river and you can paddle or float your way back to the campground, how relaxing! This is a great place to get away from it all! Kristi and Bob are the exceptional and very friendly owners and they always make everyone feel welcome. Last year when we camped here there was a family that lived quite a long way from the campground and their truck had broken down, either there was no place open or they couldn't get the part that they needed for their vehicle so the owners were going to let them stay in one of the cabins free of charge until they could figure something out! Now that is going above and beyond!! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
