Only lack of on-site water connection keeps this from the highest rating. In wooded area about 8 miles NE of Guthrie Center and 6 miles west of Yale where we came to bicycle the Raccoon River Valley Rail Trail. Appears park gets heavy weekend use from families, but suspect the middle of week would be empty. Park features trails, wildlife, and a 17 acre artificial lake with beach area and boat ramp. All sites are fairly level gravel, have tables and fire rings with grills. Park is well cared for lots of green grass and trees. This was an unexpected delightful find and we would most definitely return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
