We found this park to be a pleasant stop for visiting the Amana Colonies and the Village of Kolona. The park was well maintained. The manager and staff were very pleasant and helpful. There are several short mowed trails to walk pets. The back in water/electric sites on the outside perimeter appeared to be a little larger than the full hookup sites which were in the middle. The Wi-Fi worked well and satellite TV setup was surprisingly easy given the number of large shade trees. This park seems to have a number of repeat customers that come numerous times a season, some every weekend. We were told it is also popular during University of Iowa home football game weekends. We were only there for one night, but could have easily stayed longer. They only had 4 pull-thru sites but the back-ins where easy-in-and-out. The grounds were well manicured and facilities well maintained. Add it’s respectful distance from Iowa City, a visit with some friendly full-timers, and we’re left with a quiet, and pleasant, overnight stay. As an over nighter, it’s a 4 star, but there amenities are limited, so I give it a solid 3 stars overall. Our price reflects a Good Sam discount. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Good overnight stop for us. Our back-in site was level and we didn’t have to unhitch our tow vehicle. The sites around us had a decent amount of space between them. The campground is an older, established campground that has been in the same family for several years. It has gravel interior roads, good grass coverage, and mature trees and shrubs. The services we used worked well (water, electric, Wi-Fi). The campground has common water hydrants that are centrally located and can be a bit long to reach from some sites. Bath and toilet facilities were very clean though the facilities were older and not well lit. The host was welcoming and our reservation and check-in went smoothly. The mile of Forevergreen Road leading to the campground is rough in patches. We would stay at Colony Country again as an overnight stop or as a destination. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park has gravel roads and sites, many trees with grass. Well maintained, friendly and helpful staff. We were in a back-in site with 30 amp and water only. The dump station is quite tight with a camp site on one side and a dumpster on the other, be careful. Air card worked well, didn't use their wifi. Staff can direct you to a diesel fuel truck stop about 2 miles away with very adequate room to get in and out. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park with well spaced campsites. The shower heads were so-so, but the restrooms were very clean. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed for Memorial weekend. The lady that runs it is very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms and showers are clean. She posts the weather on the window everyday. Free Wi-Fi that works great. We will stay here again if ever in area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Have stayed here before - - - still the small town atmosphere type campground ---- nice fairly level sites and super clean restrooms and showers. Will definitely return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Love this park. The road in is under construction but it is paved and has patches from the rains. The campground it tight but we got our 42 footer in without a problem. We have 30 amp though and wish it was 50 amp and it would be a 10 in my opinion,. They had wifi free and the staff was great. Would stay here again... We camped here in a Motorhome.

Last 0.6 miles to the CG was over very bumpy road. Long, wide pull throughs, well-kept grounds, tall shade trees…but no cable. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Lovely Campground. Only 30 amp so I marked it down a bit and the water is far apart though not on our site. It is shady and quiet and the owners very nice. I can say after being on the road for 4 weeks this is one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed at. Very peaceful and while the sites are a bit tight to get in they are not that difficult. I just backed up a few feet and swung in the pull-through. The sewer dump station is in an odd place and tight from one side to get into. Most of the bigger sites have a dump so the smaller trailer sites will only have to use it. there are a few really long back in sites that do not have a sewer but if you approach the dump from the left you will not have a problem getting into it. While the power is only thirty amp I will say we tripped a breaker with the Aqua-Hot and that means they need to replace them as they are getting weak. We will stay here again when we are passing through. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very clean and quiet campground. Very friendly staff. Bathrooms are old, but clean. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nicely kept up and grassy with lots of nice trees. Owners very friendly and helpful, treat guests like family. We have stayed here many times for a month or longer. Close to large mall but still has a quiet country atmosphere. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Several miles off I-80. Beautiful RV Park with level pads. Sewer and electrical at site though it would take a very long hose for water. Owner very pleasant. Rest room facilities spotless though dated. I would rate this park at least a 9 if they updated rest room facilities and offered WiFi and cable TV. Nice place to stop as an overnighter. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Wonderful, quiet and clean - "adult" park. Children allowed and there is a playground, but nothing else. Back in sites are shaded and roomy. Some sites a bit tricky to get into with a large rig (room and slight slope) but there are more easy and beautiful sites. Friendly owner run. In North Liberty - close to Coralville, Iowa City and Cedar Rapids. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Access roads and sites were big enough for our 40-footer and toad. There are about five pull-through sites with full hookups; the rest are back-ins. Not all sites have all utilities. Level gravel sites. Nicely maintained grass between sites, it appeared (ground was covered with snow). Mature trees. About 2.5 miles north of I-80, so there was no highway noise. We would happily use this park again either for an overnighter or if we wanted to stay in Iowa City. There is a Super-WalMart and other major shopping between the park and I-80. The dump station could be difficult to use with a big rig. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Friendly staff and owner, but hard to manuver, especially for big rigs and small sites. Pull thru's very limited and difficult also without sewer hook-up's. Very poor placement and entry for dump station. We camped here in a camper.
