We loved this park. We were here in the fall and there were at least 800 Canada geese on the lake. The sites are on grass and you park right up against the lake. We liked it so well that we ended up extending our stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice overnight spot. Easy access from I-29. They have about 12 paved full hook up sites with 50 amp.(newer section only 3 years old) Volunteer here said power in other sections of park was iffy but there were lots of people plugged in. Very nice Lewis and Clark display and security was good. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Lewis and Clark campground is a great place to spend a leisurely vacation in the outdoors. The 112 campsites, 100 with electrical hookups and 12 with full hook-up, lie along the lakeshore. Modern rest rooms and showers are available, as is a trailer dump station. Advance campsite reservations can be booked through the park reservation system or by calling toll free 1-877-IAPARKS. Half of the campsites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice little park. Well kept park with very nice spots. Fresh stones in spots and very level. The owner is a gem. Long pull thru spots, WIFI and very well kept. These people are RVers and know what you need to make a good park and campers very welcome. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park close to I-29, friendly, helpful owners. At the edge of town, convenient restaurants, service stations etc. Lots of interesting places to visit within driving range of the park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Good Sam Park. We really liked it. Friendliest greeting we've ever received in an RV park. VERY pet friendly too. Large shaded pull thrus. Easy access to the interstate but you can't hear it. We would definitely stop here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stopped in for a night on the way to Yellowstone. The proprietors were extremely friendly. Our site was outstanding as we were next to a large play area perfect for the kids to play catch and throw frisbees. Bathrooms were very clean. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This place is great. About a quarter mile from the freeway but it is quiet. It is a great stopover place with 100 foot long pull through sites. It also is a great place to do the tourist thing like we are doing. We are here for 2 weeks and the rate reflects the weekly rate. There is lots to see and do in the area. There is a Dairy Queen about a hundred yards from the park and several restaurants within 1/4 mile. Also, 2 fuel station/convenience stores within the same 1/4 mile. I would have given it a 10 if the roads/site pads were concrete or paved. They are gravel but very sturdy. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Wonderfully shaded by groomed trees, very easy big-rig pull-thru access. Despite recent heavy rains, the sites were not muddy--large crusher-run gravel, well packed. Onsite owners are extremely pet& people-friendly. Excellent wi-fi. Would be a 10 if it had cable and rec room. Almost no noticeable highway noise. A great place to catch some peaceful rest, not a destination as far as we could tell! We camped here in a Motorhome.

A very nice little park to spend a few days relaxing. It is close to Nebraska if you wish to visit. It is quiet and friendly. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Park was great for an overnight stay with large pull-thru sites. Sites were muddy and filled with water in ruts. They evidently have had a lot of rain. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a very clean and friendly park (complete with mints for our pillows and a doggie cookie for our Golden) close to the highway. They also have a great Iowa wine selection available for purchase. The only reason it didn't score a 10 is lack of cable. However, there were a few channels available with our antenna. We stayed in the new section of this park which had 100 foot sites and 2 sewer hookups. We were the first to stay in our particular sites, so the gravel was not packed down and their was loose dirt all around. We picked the sites, so no complaint here. Extremely nice and helpful owners. Bathrooms and laundry were spotless. A couple of local restaurants with good food within walking distance. This was a very pet friendly park, but not particularly kid friendly. Close to the interstate with easy in and out driveways. Very big rig friendly. I would highly recommend this park if you have to spend the night in western Iowa. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Great RV park - big treed sites with large 50+ year old cottonwood trees. Extremely friendly and helpful management/owners. Well kept and clean. A big plus is free wifi. We're there for only 2 days but would stay longer and again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stopped overnight at this campground which was neat and clean. The office staff were very nice during check in and made sure we got on our site ok. The campground is well shaded with big trees which was great on this very warm day. The trees were all trimmed high, so you don't have to worry about low limbs anywhere in the park. The sites were long and level with good 50 amp electric and good water. They offer free wifi which was a plus. This is a nice big rig campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Terrific hosts, shady pull thrus, large playing field - only thing lacking was a pool/playground (but not really missed given our limited time as we were only there overnight). Would gladly stay again! We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Great overnight park or adult park if you need to be in the area. No facilities for kids, but lots of "yard" to run around in for an overnight. Quiet, convenient, excellent Wi-Fi at no charge. Owner operated - responsive and friendly. Clean, neat. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I gave this campgound a ten for what it was. A great place to spend as an overnight or as a basecamp. We stayed here on the way to, and then back, from Yellowstone. The couple who own this small campground go out of their way to make you feel at home. Clean, clean , clean sites and when I went in to look at the bathroom/showers I thought the floor was wet-that's how shiny the tiles were. A wonderfully clean, small laundry room. A nice overnight campground. Sites were very well shaded with large beautiful trees. Limbs were trimmed to be sure not to hit campers. Very clean. Within walking distance to several local restaurants and a McDonalds. Owners were so nice! Restrooms were the cleanest I have ever seen in a campground. Hands down! They even give you mints for your pillow when you check in! If you are in this area and need an overnight place, stay here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Check in was quick and efficient. Park was very neat, rest rooms and laundry were immaculate. The owner was a real cheerleader for Iowa. No fancy ammenities, just a great place to overnight. Very reasoanbly priced, It was a good value. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Good quiet overnight travel stop. Very friendly and helpful management/owners. Level gravel pull throughs with full hookups. Sighting even a tripod sat dish was pretty much impossible. Downgrade rating only because no pool etc. however price reflects same. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Great RV park very near the interstate. The owners were super-friendly and helpful. We pulled in around 11:00 p.m. and they came out of their house to help us to our site and make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommended. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Usually quiet, clean campground on Blue Lake. Needed better staff policing of grounds during the weekend than during the week as seasonal campers tend to be less than perfect on the weekends. State park immediately across lake has keel boat exhibits and Lewis and Clark Trail information, all for free. Loess Hills State Forest area is a great 2-hour car trip with some very excellent scenery. We would stay here again. Casino four miles away. Slight downgrade because we did hear some I-29 traffic at night. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Typical KOA on a small pond type lake. Nothing special, but all facilities advertised worked. Stayed here on the way out West. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

This was a great spot for us to unwind for a couple days. Easy access from I-29, yet far enough from the freeway to enjoy quiet evenings. Close to new Lewis and Clark visitor's center, expansive lake and the little community of Onawa for groceries, fuel and restaurants. Had good cel phone, computer air-card and satellite TV reception. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a pleasant lake-side park with lots of trees for shade. The pull-thrus are on grass, shaded and have picnic tables and a good separation from the next site. The park is about a quarter of a mile from the Interstate so noise in minimal. The Lake-side sites may all be long-term or seasonal but since they are spaced far apart all sites have nice lake views. Overall, very nice, especially for a KOA. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Heavily wooded campground on a lake with lots of shade. Seems to be a favorite spot for locals, many of whom have set up seasonal units that occupy the waterfront sites. We were there on Saturday and many folks had come for the weekend and brought boats on trailers and things got pretty crowded. Not the best place if you want peace and quiet, but probably better during the week and in the off-season. Nearby state park, at the location of Lewis and Clark campsite, has replicas of the expedition keelboat and is worth a visit. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The koa book made it sound so picturesque, but not so much. I have to say though, go across the bridge to Nebraska and head north. Very beautiful! Campground was o.k., the sights were a little too close together to suit me. Also, we picked a bad weekend to go. The campground was very busy because of the rally up in Sturgis. Heavily treed, dirt, grass and some gravel. Owners were friendly, however, the sites were VERY VERY tight for a big rig-NOT recommended even though it says Big Rig Friendly it really is NOT. I did not realize the water was bad and it ruined a washload and my new filters which I had to toss. It was full of iron and I had to flush my system several times to get it out. DON'T use the water if you stay here. Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience as I could not get my satellite TV or internet reception under the canopy of trees and then I discovered the water problem at night, too late to do anything. The owners refunded my fee, but refused to replace my filters because I complained to KOA corporate after I left due to time constraints (NOT that they bothered to reply to me or assist me.) I would NOT stay there again and they have made it clear I would not be welcome there. They denied a problem with the water, but I see another camper complained about it last year as well. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Owner was very helpful. The former owner was also helping and very friendly. This is a well-maintained campground and is very clean. We had a nice level pull-through site that was well-shaded. The best sites (including almost all waterfronts) are taken by seasonal campers. The road that goes by the campground (Dogwood) used to be a quiet county road, according to the former owner. However, this road now goes to a casino, and traffice is constant, 24 hours a day. Sites 7-20, while nice sites, are very close to this road. The water was brown at times - owner told us they were correcting the problem. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
