This is a nice peaceful campground on the Mississippi river or you can camp on the Lake. Not all sites have water. The Wi-Fi was excellent. We got 15 channels with out antenna and satellite we got with the portable dish. Savanah has an excellent grocery store. Clinton is rather close by if you need a big town. You can see the barges and the trains. If you come to Sabula through the Illinois side be prepared for a white knuckle drive as the bridge is really narrow. Just hope you don't meet a semi. We will come here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park has been significantly upgraded since the previous review. They now have 50 amp in most sites, have several pull-throughs with concrete pads (& are building more), and have really great Wi-fi. No sewer but they have a dump station. The reason I did not give it an even higher rating is that they have done a really poor job configuring their new electric posts and pull-throughs: the electric and water hookups are on the wrong side of the RV, and are quite far back from the concrete pad (or from the center of the site on the gravel ones). We were able to run our electric cord around the back or our RV and reach the hookup, but needed two hoses to reach the water. It's too bad, since this is obviously new work, that they planned so poorly. But we are still glad we are here: it's beautiful, peaceful, the hosts are really friendly. We would definitely stay here again. I do think really long RVs might have a problem fitting into the sites. We are 35' and the pull-through is really too short and too rounded. We didn't unhook from our truck because we had to come in at such a sharp angle that we couldn't straighten out enough. The back-ins would probably be easier, but I think they may be too short for anything longer than us. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice campground. On island in middle of Mississippi River. Easy fishing. Watch huge barges navigate up and down river. Lots of paved, level sites. Satellite easily accessible, yet plenty of shade. We camped here in a Motorhome.
