Mud Lake Park is six miles north of Dubuque and four miles off highway 52. The park provides ample boating access, has large trees (but only a few by the RV sites), and has a full-time manager on site. Although their web site only lists 20 and 30 amp sites, the campground offers 30 and 50 amp services. The only drawback is that there are a lot of trains and horn blowing all hours of the day, but they aren't too intrusive, and the park is secluded enough to provide great night-time skies. Close to Dubuque yet out far enough to allow deer sightings. We stayed nine days, and would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
