The campground has a lovely wooded setting in the Loess Hills not far from Sioux City. There are a number of trails that originate in or are very close to the campground. There is one very old washroom and a new washroom with showers. The facilities are great in the new washroom but the rough concrete floor gives it a grubby look. Only 10 of the sites have electricity. There is only one site with a level gravel pad. The other sites are grassy and more or less level. Do not come here if you have a big rig. Most sites would be unsuitable for even an average sized trailer. We camped on a weekday in May so the campground was wonderfully quiet. However, the sites are close together with nothing to separate the sites so it would be very crowded if the campground was full. We camped here in a Motorhome.
