This is a great City park for an overnight stay. It's quiet and fairly easy to find (just watch for the signs along the route). We were the only unit for the first evening and were then joined by another unit the second night we stayed. It's close to the Fort Scott NP and wonderful shops in downtown Fort Scott. The National Cemetery isn't too far. This is a great place to walk the dog. The locals use the park for walking, riding and playgrounds. It is patrolled by City police. We'd stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice, quiet, secluded small campground as part of a city park. Although RV sites are not "on" the water, most are just across a dirt road from the water and there may be a site or two on the water. We enjoyed it for an overnight stop but it is not ideally suited for large rigs. However, it is manageable if you're mindful of the tight turns and narrow streets. Unhooking would be mandatory if the park were busy; we were here in October and did not unhook although we took up a couple of spaces. Be sure to check the power pedestals; the first two we tried had a polarity problem. That is why we only rated it a "3". We camped here in a Motorhome.
