We like this park because of easy access from US 54/US 400 and since it's on the west side of town makes it nice to get away going west. The sites are large, some have trees you have to watch out for, water pressure a little on the high side. Staff is friendly and helpful: we had a FedEx delivery and was notified as soon as it arrived. Good places to eat north on Maze Road just east of campground. This is our 4th or 5th time here as we pass through and will come again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is acceptable, but it is mediocre. Routine maintenance and upkeep seem to be a low priority. The overall facility, inside buildings and outside, has a run-down appearance. The bathrooms are clean enough to use, but they are neglected. In the men’s room, the toilet tank cover is missing; one of two urinals has been removed exposing an ugly unpainted section of wall with the plumbing still there; and the walls, floor, and sink area need paint and new paneling. In the women’s room, there are holes in the wall paneling and paint has mostly worn off the concrete floor. The shower stalls have a chair and one hook. On the plus side, it appears that most pull-through sites are easy in and easy out for many rigs, but I am not sure about rigs over 38-40 feet. Tow vehicles must be parked diagonally to the RVs. Wifi is $2 per day or $5 per week. We will stay here again, but only because it is a convenient stop on our way to and from western and southwestern states. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The nightly fee reflects a $3 discount for paying by cash - a nice way to save money. Not an easy place to find as it is on the frontage road not the highway itself and signage is small. We drove on past and had to call for directions, which should be in Woodall but aren't. We would have rated this campground higher except that one shower/bath was so filthy it really should be condemned and the other was just OK. On the other hand, staff was friendly and helpful, our site near highway was level and relatively quiet, the campground itself was very quiet, and everything appeared to be clean except already mentioned bath areas. Verizon phone and broadband worked fine. Would we stay here again as we pass from north to south - yes. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Military only. This campground is not for long term stays. All sites are back in and not for big rigs. There are no showers or restrooms. McConnell is planning to upgrade the camping facilities in the near future, moving the location and adding facilities. Campground is next to golf course, close to Emerld City activity center, BX, Commissary, and Wichita. Entrance is through truck gate on west side of base. We camped here in a Tent.

We used this park as an overnight stay on the way through Kansas. I feel a couple of the more recent reviews paint an uglier picture of the park than what I saw. The on-line reservation we made worked well. When we called to confirm it, we were greeted courteously. The site is gravel and, though I would not call the space as “roomy,” we got into it and out of it with no problem. It was level. There is some road and train noise, but it did not cause me a problem. I tend to expect it in a urban environment for a park conveniently located near major roads. We would stay here again if traveling through the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the 2nd time we've stayed here. It is a nice, clean CG with lots of shade trees which help in the August heat. The site was very level with good hook-ups and 50 amp power. Yes, it is gravel but I didn't find that a problem. Good location for doing Wichita. The owners were pleasant folks and yes, they do run your card when you make reservations. Reasonably full so call ahead. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is the second time we have stayed here, only because my sister-in-law lives in Wichita and it is close to where they live. We will be here 10 nights; thank God we will be gone most of the time. We made reservations 3 weeks in advance. For the first time since we have been traveling (1 1/2 years, 42 States) the campground charged our CC the full amount that day...isn't there a law against that? When we questioned it, their comment was "we do this all the time" (comforting). They advertise "20 Quiet Acres"; they must think that the road noise that surrounds the campground, the nearby train and the jets flying over are silent! Interior roads are completely graveled and dusty with many permanent RVers. The site they gave us was overlooking a storage yard with a large heap of gravel, steel fence and variety of junk yard objects (picturesque). I’m hoping my sister-In-law moves away so we never have to come here again! I would have given them a lower score but the bathrooms and laundry room were clean! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
