If you are in a small camper or tent, this park will be OK . It's not for big rigs. We were not able to stay here because the turns were too tight and spots too small . The host was nice and called another campground on the lake; and we were able to get in. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Lovely Corps of Engineers campground. It is a small campground but you have all the lovely features of a Corps park - waterfront, large spacious sites and great rates. We are able to use our Senior Pass therefore the rate is half price. Our site was gravel, almost level and was lake front. The host came around to check on us and gave us our information. Very friendly and helpful. Our Verizon cell phone had good reception but no TV reception from either satellite or antennae. That is OK because we would rather enjoy the lovely trees. The signage on US 27 is very small and we missed it the first time so be very cautious. The entrance hill is very steep but not long in length. The interior road is one way and can be a little tricky at the end to make the turn but it is doable with our 39' motorhome. We are always thankful to be able to find a Corp park along our travel route. We would come back here if we were in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Big rig owners beware. Very difficult interior road was 1 way in and out. Turn around at the end of the interior road couldn't be made by our 45 foot motorhome. We had to back up a long way to reach our site. Signage on US 27 is non-existant. Car show held in nearby downtown Somerset during various days of the summer is terrific. We camped here in a Motorhome.
