THIS CAMPGROUND IS CLOSED. THE OWNER SOLD THE PROPERTY FOR A NEW WATERFRONT NEIGHBORHOOD. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This place is truly a dump. I am glad to hear that it is no longer a KOA. It was thrown out of the system because it is so bad. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We should have known we were in for a mess when the entrance road to the sites disappeared from view! Hilly terrain, my foot. We had to unhook to make the incredible turn; we traversed down an ill-defined, soft-dirt road and entered a NARROW, unlevel site after we drove over a large hump of soft dirt. Talk about an old fish camp full of seasonals--converted school busses, tied-out barking dogs unable to reach their water, loose dogs being walked by owners who warned us from them, seasonal on-site campers and many seasonal empty rigs. We had to back out of the site because it was too risky to make the turn into the soft dirt with a big rig. BIG RIGS stay away--that's not hard, though, because the KOA signage was not obvious until you'd passed the steep, winding entrance road. A friendly office woman, game room, and barely-adequate laundry (Woodall's rating criteria) did not balance out the dowdy, unkempt appearance, broken concrete, and narrow inner roads of this campground. A dog wouldn't have jumped in the pool. WE WERE ASTOUNDED IT WAS A 4-W IN WOODALLS, and that KOA, for whatever it's worth, would designate this as a KOA park. We had to rock up the road (crack a windshield?) etc., hook up in front of the office, at an angle, and were NEVER so glad to leave a park. In 5 years of full-timing, this is truly our only bad and definitely worst ever, we hope, camping experience. We have a totally new wariness of KOA'S and Woodall's ratings now. STAY AWAY! We camped here in a camper.
