This is a county-run facility (“Parish-run” in Louisiana) where we stayed for only one night. It is heavily wooded with shady sites, many of which offer appealing lake views. Very few of the sites have sewer hook-ups, and these were not available at the time we visited the park. Many of the sites are pull-throughs. All are paved with black-top. Interestingly, the park no longer has a limit on the length of stays, so that there are long-term residents (some of whose trailers and motorhomes have seen better days). When we arrived, one of the two bath houses was closed for repairs (although my wife ended up using the closed bath house because it turned out to be unlocked and workable). I would have preferred that the ranger who checked us in had told me of the closure before I’d selected a site and set up my unit. Also, the main road used to access the park was closed for repairs, so we had to drive 5-6 miles out of the way in order to gain entry. (I wish the person who I’d phoned at their ranger station prior to our arrival had told us about this). We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice CAMPGROUND! Not so much a RV Park. Lots of children running around, but they were very well mannered. It was peaceful and tranquil. The morning coffee always taste great with the smell of a camp fire going with beacon frying. This is a Parish (County to most of us) ran facility. They do not allow any type of alcohol containers to be present at any time. So if you want to enjoy a beer do it inside. Nice place to hang out for a weekend. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We love this campground. Sites are large and shady. They have recently been repaved. There is a separate beach for rv'ers. On the property there is a petting zoo, nature center, catch & release fishing pond, and marina. There is a large beach and picnic areas for day use. A great family campground. Park rangers are very visible which make for a safe campground. Staff very friendly. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
